I've been thinking a lot lately about my writing. Most of the time, I'm incredibly self-deprecating, and when I'm not, my head is so far up my own ass that I get serious facial injuries from my own stomach acid. Right now, though, I'm stuck in this weird limbo, like I don't know how to feel. I think the fastest way to work through it is to write it all out, so that's what I'm doing.

I don't know how many of you have heard of her, but she's done a bunch of readings for some very popular fics (Background Pony and Life is a Lemon to name two), and she did a reading for little ol' me. Well, I finally got a fic in the featured box, and it's been up there a pretty good portion of the day. I always expected that my first fic to get featured would do something that I like to call the "bottom of the FimFiction.net feature box tango," wherein the bottom three slots shift continuously, usually being taken up by chapter updates fro already popular stories. I'm not complaining, it's just... unexpected.

I've finished the new chapter of Star-Crossed, and it is in the process of being edited. It should be out sometime in the next week at the latest, but my editor has some stuff goin' on, so I don't fault them if it takes a little longer.

It has sex in it. I didn't intend for this story to have sex in it, but the way I write, the story guides itself, things happening that I don't anticipate ahead of time. This time, one of those things was sex.
