So Jinglemas is a thing, I've seen it before, but this is the first time I'm participating in it. The concept is great, think of a small prompt to request, submit it, then somebody else will write it for you, while you write somebody else's. Around Christmas day, the stories are exchanged and posted as a sort of secret santa. This though just randomly came into my head while writing.

The word "manual". I was thinking about the different vocabulary that Ponies use compared to us. They don't say "hand, person, -one, or man" and since manual has "man" in it, I did some research to see if it would be changed by Equestrian Etymology.

Apparently I had it completely wrong, as manual comes from latin "manus", meaning hand.

So it turns out that the word would change, just not in the way I originally thought.

I feel I owe an explanation for my less than consistent upload schedule.

To be honest, I see writing as a secondary hobby. I enjoy doing it, and I also enjoy the feedback I get from it, but if I had to choose between struggling to write dialogue or playing a match of my favorite game, I think you get the point.

Some of you may recall earlier this year when I was able to upload 2000+ word chapters DAILY, which right now seems insane to me. So I had to come up with an explanation.

Sorry to say, but I might actually cancel this story for a later date. At the very start I was enthusiastic about the idea, but after a few months it just kinda died. It's gotten to the point where I just don't want to write it anymore and have moved onto other ideas. I may as well cancel it, or at least put it on hiatus for the time being.
