Anyone who knows me well enough to obtain my phone number (a very exclusive privilege) knows that I occasionally suffer from inconvenient lapses in memory. These lapses can vary from a few minutes to two or three hours. Just a few minutes ago, I emerged from a particularly severe lapse that I think spanned an hour.
