Flurry Heart tries to warn her father of the impending apocalypse. Shining Armor thinks his daughter has a lovely imagination.

My first attempt at writing a comedic(ish) story! Do be gentle haha. This is an entry into the Shining Armor is a Terrible Dad Competition! I don’t think there’s a worse thing a dad can do than cheerfully ignore the apocalypse, do you?

I think I was created to play music.
I think this because there is a gramophone on my back.
I think it is supposed to play music.
It does not.

This was inspired by a prompt generated by a story idea generator i’ve been working on. The prompt in question was “Write a gothic species swap story about Sweetie Belle with themes of autonomy and tragedy. For an optional challenge, try incorporating music.” I don’t think I stuck particularly well at all to the prompt, but the idea was moreso to inspire rather than create constraints.
Consider this an alternate take on a sweetiebot story with a splash of raritwi.

Heat.

Hitch hated the heat.

The humid summer air would crawl its way underneath his skin, beads of sweat snaking tiny trails through his fur. The heat messed with his head and prevented him from doing his job properly.

Not to mention his splitting headache.

Been going through my older unfinished notesapp stories and cleaning some of them up! I think I might’ve gotten a little flowery or heavyhanded with the prose at some times but I’m happy with it. Not quiiite sure if the horror tag applies here but I was aiming for a feeling of slight dread/slow realisation so I feel as though it’s applicable.

This was written for Bicyclette’s Applepie contest!! I used a prompt generator to come up with an idea and got ‘space au + chill // bonus: mutual pining’
Applepie is one of my all time favourite ships and it’s so underrated!! I’m glad its getting more attention haha.

Applejack feels lonely and homesick on a spaceship far from home. Pinkie Pie, a pony who sits with her at lunch, is determined to change this.

Rarity never quite liked the concept of soul flowers. 
They were ugly, unnecessary, and the sheer number of them marring her coat demonstrated a recklessness from her soulmate that she frequently bemoaned was going to get them killed one day.
Never did she hope for her prediction to come true.

This is the first installment in the Soulflowers series! If you follow me on tumblr you’ve probably been waiting for this to come out for a while and it’s finally here! There is some light description of wounds and death in here, but I don’t think it was anything worthy of a tag.

In case it wasn’t clear, this takes place in an au where whenever your soulmate gets a scar, you get a matching set of flowers on your skin/fur.

It’s my first proper attempt at fanfiction so please be understanding haha. It’s just a one-shot atm but if people like it enough I might expand on the individual couples’ stories in the future. Other than that, I hope you enjoy!
