Lunar Pool

Name: Lunar Pool
Age: 25
Race: Earth Pony
Occupation: Astronomer/Adventurer
Likes: The stars, sleep, polite ponies
Dislikes: Rude ponies, not getting any sleep, monsters
Personality: Lunar Pool is socially awkward. He has always tended to be slightly shy but experiences have caused him to become rather stoic. He finds it hard to understand that flow of conversations, often giving a one word answer and requiring several moments, if not an outright question, to elaborate on what he's talking about. He also often forgets that not everyone is interested in what he is. He finds it hard to connect meaningfully with others, leaving him feeling isolated. This often leads to low self-esteem, making it even harder.

He is often kind, but has little patience for rude ponies. Ironically, his own stoicism tends to make him come across as rude himself, though it's never maliciously intended. He is (mostly) soft-spoken, inquisitive and determined, with a core of compassion. The other side of him is that he can become quite bitter if he feels he has been wronged, and is quite capable of holding onto foalish grudges for years at a time. He is increasingly cynical of other ponies and the world, finding it hard to believe in others. He also gets wrapped up in his own problems and sometimes needs to be brought back down to earth, as it were. His tendency towards low self-esteem also means he's easily influenced and manipulated by ponies who are larger than life (for example, one of the Princesses), even when he regards them cynically.
