Ten words.

I've only written ten words in the last eight weeks. For Unmarked, anyway. The conclusion is still far away. I don't know when I'll finish it.

I'm working on a short story featuring Braeburn. It's around 5,000 words long right now. It should be the next release.

A Missing Note hasn't been worked on much. I've put in a little here and there, but the next chapter is only halfway done.

They make me uncomfortable and giggle uncontrollably at the same time.

This next chapter of Unmarked is really dark, straight out of the gate. I'm thinking of putting a [Dark] tag on Unmarked.

In fact, it's going to be more mature from here on out, though I'll more than likely keep the light-hearted adventure aspect going throughout. It's just going to be more... realistic in some areas. This includes the sequel.

Or I could just take the Dark parts out and work around them.

I started working on Unmarked again, just tonight. Hopefully it'll be out in... well, let's be honest, a month.

Thought you guys would like a status update. Go ahead and ask me whatever in the comments, too, be it "you suck" or "Would you love me tenderly in the Pre-reader's coffee room?"

I think we both know the answer, but go ahead and ask me anyway.

Despite what you guys have said, I feel bad for making you wait and I don't think I'm going to finish the last half anytime soon, so I'm going to release the first part of the last chapter as its own chapter, bringing our total to 21 chapters once all is said and done. I've been terrible with deadlines (wanting to finish before -last summer, then the end of the year), so you guys have been waiting both impatiently and patiently.

A small part of the delay is absence of feedback from my team of regular editors. Now, one of my editors wanted to wait until I was finished to read and review, but the other one is self-admittedly lazy. It's okay, though, since she's my biggest fan, supposedly.

Hey, I bet you saw that title and thought to yourself, "Oh, no, he's not going to finish Unmarked!" Or maybe you just read it and didn't care either way.

Regardless, I have a quick question and a note that you all must know of before we go forward with the next chapter.

Question: Since I'm just a bit over halfway through the chapter at 11,000 or so words, would you rather me give that to you now or wait until I finish the story completely? This includes the short, ~500 word epilogue.

Good afternoon, morning or evening, as the case may be, my dear readers!

With Unmarked winding down to a close in the next two chapters (and Chapter 19 a quarter of the way from being done), a few things occur to me.

1) Unmarked will be given a final [Completed] post on EqD.
2) With this [Completed] tag comes an influx of new readers who prefer to read finished stories.
3) Unmarked is far from perfect.

So today is my birthday! Woohoo!

Now that that's out of the way, my reasoning for excitement is thus: A Missing Note Chapter 2 is basically complete. Just a couple of paragraphs more and it'll be released. Unmarked is coming along swimmingly as well and I'm about one third finished with the penultimate chapter of our little love. So, fun times, updates coming in soon. Makes me happy to actually release something now and again.
