The Sonic Rainboom "unlocked" Twilight Sparkle's magic. When her errant magic went haywire, it sent Twilight and Spike's unhatched egg to another universe - ours, specifically. A person discovers little Twilight and unhatched Spike and proceeds to have a conversation with Twilight.
