I'm not sure, out of the 15 users currently tracking the story, how many will actually see this, but...

First thing's first: a new Wonderful Mechanical chapter will be up by Sunday at the latest.

I don't have a plan to get it up by that point, but I plan to get it up by that point.

I've been taking my sweet ass time to write lately. Part of it's because I hit a snag in how to handle the next scene, and had to climb up some writer's block. Part of it's because class is back in session, and that's eating my time. Part of it's handling the bouts of depression, but that bout's an old one that I'm used to fighting. Part of it was coming down with a cold, and having that take what's little left out of me.

I thought that posting something in a public place would motivate me to write more.It has, but there has been an unintentional inverse effect.

It's heightened a sense of guilt for not writing.

Normally these two forces would work in tandem to get me more productive, a built-in carrot and stick for my work process, the building blocks for perpetual productive motion.
