Join a few groups that center around characters, genres, or situations that you enjoy and make positive contributions to their forums. Read some stories and leave some constructive criticism and genuine praise. Fallow a few authors and comment on their blogs. Basically, show people that you are articulate and have something worth saying and soon enough you'll be noticed.
