Lightning Strike is forced out of his school, Crystal Prep Academy, after an unfortunate incident that left him with a scarred reputation and a broken arm. Now enrolled in Canterlot High School, he must endure all the stigma that comes with him being an ex-Crystal Prepper as well as come to terms with his own personal problems.

What Lightning Strike doesn't know is that a chance meeting with someone special could change his life for the better, as well as help restore the confidence he has lost since changing schools.

She will become the top student and the best magician in the academy, even if it means borrowing a power she doesn't fully understand from someone she doesn't fully know.
