I have completely given up on the World Wars series, it was too overwhelming for an amateur writer like me. Imagine having to plan about 7 stories at once. It was exhausting.

The fact that I was gone for a huge while is both because of this and lacking of any concrete idea for a new story.

So....after the disastrous launch of Fluttershy's story and actually went into damage control (It happens.). I managed to get back on track last month. When I asked the Writer's Group of why did it failed, one caught me, I realise that I stuck too much to history that the setting is not unique. I have been drawing concepts since then.

As the clock struck at 5PM, on my time zone, my mind was filled with pictures of young men celebrating. Tears of joy drenched their faces. 4 years of suffering, it's over. So long the sounds of bomb shells, the machine guns, the desperate, alerted warning about gas, cries of the wounded, and flooded foxhole. It was their greatest moment. Lest we forget.

I have been trying to build the concept of Twilight's story, it has been unsuccessful so far. But on the other hand, I'm writing Fluttershy's story since her story's concept was finalised first. I will have the story up in 1-3 days.

Because of stuff you'd expect from someone still in high school, I have been only working on two chapters thus far. Well, I don't want to reveal stuff.....yet. Twilight's early chapter will take place during the Nazi's rise to power.

Hey, it's been a while. The WW2 story is still in works, not much progress is done because of school and college plans. I'm not giving up writing it though. It's about the topic that I enjoy, that gives me enough motivation. The story will split into individual stories, so the chapters will not be cramped up. Oh and Twilight's story will come first, her early chapters, of course. Because her story begins before the War erupted. Being a Nazi party member and all.

We are the knights of the sky, the ghosts in the desert, and the rats in the mud. These are our stories.

I've been playing a lot of Forgotten Hope 2, a WW2 mod for Battlefield 2, to get some info about WW2 weapons. Because in this mod, the loadouts correspond to the map and timeline setting. For example, the StG 44, the German assault rifle, will only appear in the maps set in late 1944.

I do this because I learn about things from games, it'd bore me to hell if I read a Wikipedia article about weapons. Because the whole fanfic is about infantry combat, so I guess vehicles barely matter.
