To my followers, if any of you are still around , it's time to explain the final chapter of Freefall and my plans moving forward! Woo! TIme for some guy you rarely hear from to talk about his writing! Doesn't that sound like fun?
I'm a guy sitting at a computer writing stories about technicolor ponies and listening to heavy metal.
Now that I've finished the new chapters of Mare-Do-Well and Freefall, I've turned my focus into writing a sad Pinkie Pie story that hopefully, similar to Bitter Regrets/Now I Know How To Fly, fills in a few plot holes between her fillyhood on the Rock Farm and her eventual move to Ponyville without altering canonity.
Sorry that the rewrite took so long, I've been preoccupied in other areas of my writing. It's not that I lost interest, it's that I've had other things to do! It's not my fault!
But anyway, I've finished Bitter Regrets/Now I Know How To Fly AND I've added a new chapter, turning my measly 1500 word story into a story with a word count that's OVER 9000!! (Seriously!)
Special thanks to crowscrowcrow, somebody who was extremely helpful during my rewrite! You're awesome!
Does anyone remember that sad story I wrote (that wasn't Anti-Aging Spell)? Bitter Regrets/Now I Know How To Fly? I was recently re-reading it, and realized that my skills as a writer have greatly improved since that story, so I'm going to rewrite the whole thing.
I'm also going to add another part between both of them, one that might help the sadness factor.
I'm about halfway through the next chapter of Mare-Do-Well, and it just feels... different. A GOOD different. Same with Freefall. Aurora's finally wearing the costume in Mare-Do-Well and Vinyl is finally beginning to get an explanation for her nightmares in Freefall. I think this is the beginning of the halfway point for these two stories.
"Freefall" was supposed to be a quick one-shot, not a multiple-chapter story.
My 2-year deviantART anniversary was on November 16th, and I wanted to have SOMETHING to post. Eventually I came up with the idea of Vinyl having these dreams about falling to her demise, and I realized I had about 4-5 days to finish the entire thing. It ended up being longer than I had originally intended, and I wasn't finished in time. I ended up posting it as "Chapter 1", which wasn't what I wanted to do.
I realize that, despite my inactiveness, I've still gained (5) followers! Wonderful!
My anniversary on deviantART is coming up, and I was wrestling writer's block trying to come up with something to show for it. I have a pony comic, but this is a literature-type of site, so...
I was sitting at my computer, staring at a blank screen, and then an idea hit me. As I wrote, I was beginning to have some fun with it. If a story isn't fun to write, it's not fun to read.
If you're wondering why Mare-Do-Well hasn't been updated in over a month, it's because I haven't had internet for a month. When I got it, I was focusing on writing scary stories for my deviantART account in honor of Halloween! One of these days I'll have to sit down and go on an MLP spree, but for now I can't be sure when the next Mare-Do-Well chapter will come... though it IS in the works.
I'm also considering another scary MLP story for Halloween, but I haven't given it too much thought.
