I finally got around to watching the My Little Pony Movie. It only came out, what, a year and change ago?

I liked it. I thought it was fun, I liked the animation style and how fluid it was, I liked the songs, I thought it was clever to see the contrast between Twilight and Spike / Tempest and Grubber, and I kept catching little details in the background. I'm writing an EQG story that involves a mute Vinyl Scratch. Since it's in the EQG world, there are cell phones, and I figured Vinyl would communicate mostly through texting.

Which brings me to the problem of how to represent that in story form. I can't decide which I like best out of these options. Mostly because I don't really like any of them, especially because sometimes Octavia will talk to her aloud while receiving a text. Below I've got some options.

I swear, I had like a chapter in my head; and all I got written was one line, an updated description for one character, and two things of dialogue.

Ah, well. It was for an alt-universe story I can’t seem to kickstart the conflict to, anyway.

Make everything blue!

I kinda like it, actually. Characters and tags look different enough on mobile that it’s easy to distinguish. Blue links might take a bit getting used to but I wasn’t such a huge fan of the green color we had before and I got used to that.
