in Singapore we have an expression. 'Sian' which means basically to feel bummed out. Except the feeling is somewhat stronger (and more aggressive) with the slang. Times like this I really admire the ability of language to adapt to different cultures; keeping its former dignity, while attaining a new one with the change.

So...Singapore is a really nice place to live. Sure, it can get a bit hot, and more than slightly claustrophobic on a train ride during rush hour where everyone is squashed like sardines in a can. (due to our rapid overpopulation) And yes, everything from work to education to queuing up for things is kinda always stressful. (a lot more than other countries, so I've heard)
