Horse Poetry 1: The Beginning of Pretentiousness · 1:09pm Jun 26th, 2015
Well, since the admins don't pre-check blogs before they're posted, I guess I could use this place to practice my writing until I grow the balls to submit another prose piece (that hopefully doesn't suck. God, what was I, 13, when I wrote those? Ugh, they're dripping with even more self-indulgent bullshit than my stuff now. Of course, 15 isn't much better...) Sorry I suck at introductions. You can probably tell I'm as insecure as a leaky sanitary pad. I also use bad similies as humour. Har har.
Take your horse words before I burst.
Today's special: Something with DISCOOOORRRRRDDD
Discourse
You must realize everything reaches
a breaking point. The speedy flier,
noble strength, teacher’s farce; and the curse
of all those who try. The odds are dire
that’s why Discord is always needed,
almost as much as discourse. It breaks down
all that was once whole, advice heeded
by sadists who are freed. Hear, the crown
is paper, after all, even if it talks
or blows its nose occasionally,
its not true. Come, fellow, we will walk
and that is all we’ll do. A new dream
disassembles itself everyday
in the quest for friendship, yet you moan
in your sleep for that which did not stay.
You kid yourself with passion, turned to stone
and awoke to the cataclysm
with a lake waiting just behind you.
I’ll never forget her as the schism
of my blood, lifeline already long due
to explode. My heart is entropy
but the parts dance to the same rhythm.
She broke in, crashing my soliloquy,
only with that kindness had she won.
