It's called I Am Not the Actor, and it takes the themes of Quadrophenia by The Who and applies them to an AU where one of Pinkie's clone's won the test instead of the original. So ever since I posted that adult comedy I've been thinking about story view numbers. The FAQ says they factor frequency of views into selecting featured stories, and it's obvious from some of the ones that pop up that upvotes are more important than raw view numbers.

But like I said, what got me thinking about this was one particular story I wrote, and here's why.

Which is... actually not that far off, I guess?

Honestly I was expecting more Twilight in thar since I'm a HUGE NERD. Fluttershy quotient is accurate, not sure about the Rarity part though. Maybe I really do like attention as much as I always sarcastically claim.

May also explain why Rarity is my favorite target pony.

Bad news everypony; all my fics will be on hiatus for at least a week starting ~24 hours from now. WHY? Good question hypothetical reader, the answer is Borderlands 2.

The minor news is that I'mma try and get a chapter or two of EoE or "Like a Sex Machine" done before then, mebbe "Loyalty and Royalty."

I think I like being popular enough to get views but not quite popular enough to get featured; I get plenty of attention but don't get enough to pressure me.

I may only feel that way because all my stories seem to pass just under the featured cutoffs though :P

Good news everyone; now that I've finished that short, sad, poorly-paced three-shot, and since Like a Sex Machine is more popular than every other story I've written PUT TOGETHER, I'll be writing more chapters to it.

Who would've thought a terrible attempt at parody written a bit too late at night would become so popular?

Careful what you wish for and all that; I kind of want to see how many chapters I can write without actually showing explicit sex.
