The next chapter of "Bronygeddon" is probably coming out this weekend. That's the good news. Here's the bad: I write mostly on my laptop and I save mostly on a USB thumb drive. The chapter after the next one was one such. I opened it from the drive and wrote about 80% of it. Then I walked away for a few days. I haven't published any new stories for a few weeks, but I've still been writing. I've taken on the challenge of writing a novel-length fanfic. But I can't call it a novel, because there's no true protagonist. It is, instead, a tied-together story that encompasses short stories of several characters which, I hope, ties into one overarching tale.

It's been exciting around here. As a writer, I made Equestria Daily (finally! ), which was way cool. As a reader, I got to read the end of Anthropology (finally! ), which was six fifths as cool as my previous utterance. The author, JasonTheHuman, also wrote an end-of-story blog post. When the folks on Tumbler reach milestones, they celebrate by putting out a new picture. I can't draw to save my life, but you do get another story based on my own neuroses. William Goldman was right--an unhappy childhood is a writer's best friend. I wish I'd had one. But it's never too late.

I was revising one of my fics last night, and considering whether to throw out something that a reviewer had criticized, but I thought was the story's whole raison d'etre. It occurred to me that there's a difference between fiction and fan fiction beyond the fact that fan fiction relies on an existing work.

I'm heading to Bronycon next weekend. It's going to be AWESOME! Is anypony else going? I'd love to meet up with people who read my stuff.

Also, I haven't been putting out much new lately because I've been working on the first part of my novel-length fic (I'm not sure that it's actually a novel), that should be coming out around early July, after the con. I hope everypony who reads me joins in as I probably bite off more than I can chew!

The site goes tits up just at the time I update Derpy's Human, the time that everypony knows I update it. Coincidence? I think not!

Either that or everypony is overloading the site hitting refresh waiting for it to come up.
