Dragon Ball Z: Equestria's forgotten hero.

Orion, a saian who wind up in Equestria get put through a hard time as the ponies try and change him for what they believe is the better.

Edit: Awesome new cover art by Pedro Hander.

Oh, hello. My name is Orion... Or at least I think it is. It was not so long ago. (Incoherent mumbling.) Oh, sorry. I didn't mean to just trail off there, it's just that... things have changed for me recently, leaving me to be in a situation that is... awkward... to say the least, but is definitely something I don't want.

I suppose I should tell you what is happening. You see, not too long ago, I was an ordinary saiyan, even still with my tail. But recent events have caused me to change, literally. Ever since 'They' discovered me, I have had a few addition to my being, and my memories have been all over shop. I mean, who the hell is Solaris? and why do I have someone... or should I say somepony? Gah, I don't care about that right now. But anyway, I have something trying to claim me as if I was their own?

Look, there I go again, asking the questions and rambling on about useless information and not doing the answering like I said I would. I'm sorry, I've just never had a tougher challenge before in my life, so I will start again, but hopefully, I will stay on track this time.

My name... name... IS ORION!!! And this is my story... I hope.

Ok, this is a story about a saiyan who winds up in Equestria after he fails to save the earth, only, he's apparently been there before. So why does he not remember?

This is an idea I had after playing Dbz Ultimate Tenkaichi's hero mode. This story will be based after season 3 of the show and obviously after the games hero mode. As the game suggests, this is a different reality to the Dbz series.

Prologue.

'Come on! Where is he!?!' I shouted in my head as I flew around the planet.

About an hour ago, I had beaten Omega Shenron and collected the 7th Dragon Ball from him. Omega had used the Dragon Ball's once before to wish for chaos to rain upon the Earth, he was about to try and take the six that I had collected from me and who knows what he would have wished for if he had succeeded. Fortunately, for both the Earth and myself, I had regained the ability to transform into a Super Saiyan again, but this time a lot more powerful, and used this new power to beat Omega for good.

As Omega was dying, he told me that it was too late to save the Earth, but I will. I have to.

I retrieved the 7th Dragon Ball from him and summoned the Ultimate Shenron, but to my confusion, all that happened was the sky turned black and the weather started to become erratic, the dragon was nowhere to be found. I knew that the Ultimate Shenron had arisen, because the sky and the weather were a sign.

I continued to fly around, quickening my speed as I did. I spotted Kami's lookout in the distance, but something was different about it. The surface was destroyed, and there was some strange sound coming from there.

"There!" I shouted out loud. The Ultimate Shenron was suspended above the lookout, doing nothing but float there. I flew over to the lookout and landed, relaxing my Ki as I did.

"The the Ultimate Shenron. I've finally found him" I said as I looked up to the awe inspiring being that was before me. "Uh... hi there..." I spoke, my nervousness showing as I did.

"Ultimate Shenron! Hear my wish!" I called out as I did a fist pump. I could not believe that everything was about to finally go back to normal.

"Grrr." Shenron growled dangerously, causing me to be confused.

"Something isn't right. What is this evil power I'm sensing?" I said as I felt the large power level rise from somewhere.

"Unngh. Rooooooooooooooooh!" Shenron threw its head back and roared thunderously, which caused me to realize the evil energy was actually being emitted from the dragon itself. I prepared myself for the oncoming battle that I knew was about to ensue.

Shenron lifted his head up high before bringing it down at blinding speeds in an attempt to grab me with its mouth. Seeing this easily, I flipped backwards and Shenron's mouth collided with the surface of the lookout with a bang.

Seeing an opportunity, I charged forwards and began to punch Shenron's mouth repeatedly while it was still there, but to my dismay, I did not seem to be doing that much damage to him.

He pulled his head back and just looked at me with a neutral expression. He stared at me for a second before pulling his head back, opening his mouth and quickly firing an energy beam at me, but I managed to leap to the side and begin to rapidly fire Ki blasts at him until he had discharged the energy of his attack. But my attack once again seemed ineffective to the dragon.

I quickly Charged up some energy and fired off a single larger Ki blast, making contact with Shenron's lower jaw as he tried to pull his head back. This time, Shenron's head recoiled back from the attack.

I lifted off the ground and hovered a few metres in the air, so I was at eye Level with Shenron.

"Waaugh!" it roared loudly, which caused me to instinctively block and move back, but no attack came.

I dropped my guard. "Stop it! STOP IT!" I shouted out, trying to reason with the dragon, but it wasn't listening. "Darn, It's no good."

The dragon blinked before quickly firing another energy beam at me. I Powered up further and flew out of the way as quick as I could.

The beam shot past me at blinding speeds and made contact with the building that was still situated upon the lookout, but causing it to explode.

"He's being controlled by Omega Shenron's negative Energy." I said to myself as I watched the explosion before turning back to the Shenron at hand.

The dragon growled dangerously at me again before trying to fire a third energy beam at me, but this time I was prepared for it.

I charged at the beam as fast as I could and just before I collided with the beam, I rolled to the side and avoided it before flying underneath the beam and charging straight into Shenron's bottom jaw, causing his head to snap back.

"How's that?" I asked sarcastically as I looked to the dragon that was below me.

Shenron recovered and looked at me angrily. To my confusion, he then began to charge up some sort of electrical attack between his antlers. I then heard a rumble above me, so I looked up and tried to spot whatever he was doing.

I was about to give up on that lead and look back to Shenron, but I managed to catch a glimpse of a purple light above me. I looked to it and my heart froze as I realized a lightning blot was coming straight from me. Time seemed to slow down, allowing me to react by diving out of the way, only just narrowly avoiding the attack.

The lightning blot hit the Lookout's floor and shattered many tiles. I lowered myself back to the ground and looked back up to Shenron.

"P-Please... stop me." he said in a voice that sounded... pained.

I was dumbstruck for a second, but shook off the feeling and began to concentrate my energy. There was no way I was going to be able to do this in my current form.

"AAAHHHHH!!!" I yelled as I leaned over and began to transform, causing my aura to change from its erratic white colour to an aura that was gold and had embers coming out of it. (Ultimate/Mystic Gohan aura to SSj4 Aura is you cold not guess)

I detonated a portion of my Ki as I completed my transformation, causing smoke to cover the area.

"I can still fight!!!" I shouted as the smoke cleared, revealing me with green eyes, spiky gold hair that pointed up and much larger muscles than what I had before. I had transformed into a Super Saiyan.

Shenron reared his head back and charged at me at speeds that most would not be able to keep up with, but with my power level, I managed to jump to the side and allowed Shenron to fly past. He was not even close with that attack.

I sensed Shenron Fly under the lookout. He was going to fly back to where he started, so I charged up a large Ki blast to full power. I released it just as his head came up over the edge, resulting in a direct hit.

Shenron shook off the shock of my attack and reared his head up before doing that attack with the lightning bolt again, Remembering this, I began to flip all over the surface of the lookout.

Shenron shot a total of four lightning bolts, but I had avoided them all. Straight after the fourth bolt hit the floor, I began to volley Ki blasts at him as fast as I could, resulting in me causing much damage to his entire face as I could.

He reared back for another charge attack. I saw this and quickly charged up another large Ki blast. As Shenron shot forwards, I released my attack and dived out of the way. My Ki blast went right inside his mouth and exploded, causing Shenron to stop his attack and wail in pain.

As he was recovering, I slowly flew up the his eye level again, proud of my superior power that was giving my the upper hand.

Shenron looked at me for a moment before charging me again, but this time in an attempt to eat me! But unfortunatly for him, I shot to the left outside of his mouth and flew behind his head. I turned and looked at him before firing of a volley of Ki blasts at the back of his head, causing him to shout out in pain as the made contact with him.

At that moment, I sensed something to my left. I looked and saw that Shenron was going to try and hit me with his tail, but I managed to catch it and force it down to the ground before flipping up higher into the air and looking down with an idea.

I flared my Ki and shot down as fast as I could, driving my right boot into Shenrons Back and squishing it between my boot and the lookout's floor.

I smirked triumphantly, but that smile faded as I sensed Shenron's head behind me.

As I was turning around, Shenron charged up his energy beam and fired it at me with much more power in it than he had before.

I threw my arms up over my face and prepared myself as best as I could for the attack that was about to land.

The entire beam engulfed my body as I tried to feebly defend against it. My arms felt like the were exploding over and over in front of me, but I held my guard as best as I could.

Eventually, the pain ceased and the smoke cleared, leaving me there floating while panting. My outfit had been damaged badly, and I felt as if my energy had been slashed.

I dropped my guard, not being able to feel my arms properly any more and looked up to Shenron as I tried to catch my breath.

"WAAAUGH!!!" Shenron roared loudly as he reared his head up. I watched as he charged up his attack again, but also flooding it with all of his power, causing it to from what looked like a pink energy ball to what looked like the sun.

'No! I have come to far to just fail!' I shouted in my head, finding a new found strength that I did not know that I had.

"I'm not done yet!!!" I shouted out as I charged up my Ki to my new limit, causing my aura to go wild and end up flaring out over the edges of the lookout by about 100 metres.

Shenron condensed his attack back into his mouth and held it there for a moment firing it in my direction.

'If I fail this, the earth will be destroyed, and Omega will have won!' I shouted in my head as I got into a ready position. I then looked into the direction of Shenron and witnessed the bright light of his attack coming at me before charging forward as fast and as hard as I could.

"AHH!" I shouted just before I collided with the beam. We then found ourselves in a struggle. Shenron was trying to force more power into his attack of overcome m, while I was trying to resist.

'NO!!! IT WILL NOT END HERE!!!' I shouted in me head before giving another burst of strength and blasting through his attack, causing a huge explosion that probably would have made the planet unstable it it hit the earth.

"Watch this!" I shouted out to Shenron as I flew at him with speeds that he could not keep up with while charging an energy ball of my own in my right hand.

I flew at Shenron and shot into his mouth before stopping at what I presumed was the middle of his body and charging the energy ball even more so it covered my entire body. I then released all of my energy into that one attack, causing a Bright light to emit from my from before exploding and blinding the whole world below.

I fell unconscious from exhaustion soon after.
__________

I awoke some time later, finding myself back on the floor of the lookout, confused as to how I had managed to get there.

I looked up and saw Shenron emerge from a bright white light. I tensed a bit, thinking I had failed, but after a moment of nothing happening, I realized I could no longer sense the evil that was once emitting from him, causing me to breathe out a sigh of relief.

"It looks like he's back to normal." I said to myself as I relaxed my body, but remained as a super saiyan.

"My gratitude young one. I will grant your wish." he said. I smiled as I realized that I should now be able to finally save the earth.

I clenched my fists and brought them up to my sides before speaking. "Make the world... Like it was before!" I called out, feeling a tingle in my spine.

A moment passed before Shenron spoke again. "... Forgive me. I cannot grant that wish." I felt as if I just had a fist go through my stomach when he said that.

"Wh-Why!? You granted Omega Shenron's wish that caused all of this, right? Then I'm sure you can undo it, can't you?" I asked in complete shock.

"The power controlling the chaos has been affected by Omega Shenron's negative energy... It has far exceeded the power of Kami, my creator." Shenron informed me.

"That... That can't be. The dragon Ball's were our last hope!" I said as I felt a wave of defeat pass over me.

I was then hit with a thought.

"Darn it! That's what Omega Shenron's Last words meant." I said as I closed my eyes and tried to tell myself that it wasn't true, But all I could hear in my head was "This is far from over! It's way too late for you to save your pitiful world!" before hearing Omega Shenron laugh himself to death.

'I should have taken that more seriously! I should have known!' I shouted at myself in my head.

"No... I'll show him." I told myself. I told myself I would not fail and that still applies.

"Ultimate Shenron! Can you bring back all the people who were killed in this chaos!?" I asked, hopeing that this would work.

"Of course. That is a simple request. But remember, the earth will remain unchanged." he informed, but I didn't care. I had a plan.

"Don't worry about that. If I cant fix things with the Dragon Ball's... I'll fix it with my own hands!" I said as I clenched my fists and brought them to my sides again.

"Hmm... I see." Shenron said before emitting a bright flash."Your wish has been granted ... Farewell!!!"

Ultimate Shenron than began to glow white before losing the shape of his form back into the Dragon Ball's before they shot up into the sky and split off into 7 different direction, scattering around the earth again.

"Ok, let's go!" I shouted before jumping off the ground and flying away from the lookout, my aura engulfing me once again.
__________

I flew for about an hour or so, progressively getting slower and slower as I did.

I may have won my battle against the Ultimate Shenron and even brought humanity back, but I was still feeling drained. I needed to rest before I could continue to destroy Omega's negative energy.

I flew down to the ground and landed in a small forest on an island, collapsing to one knee and reverting back to my normal form as I landed. I took a moment to catch my breath before pulling out my capsule case and pulling out the capsule house.

With a 'POOF' a small dome shaped house stood before me. I got up and proceeded to walk inside, making a 'B' line for the fridge. I took out what I thought was enough, which most likely have been enough for others to tell me was enough to feel an entire city.

After eating, I went for a bath to clean myself up and get a change of clothes before finally retreating to the bed that lay inside the room and collapsing upon it. I let out a content sigh as I went over the days events in my head.

My mind began to slowly drift into a peaceful sleep, a smile on my face.

*BOOM*

I leaped up in shock from the sound on an explosion that was just outside. The ground shook violently, but I managed to hold my footing before running outside.

I began to look around in a hurry, but I didn't need to as I felt an energy that made me tremble.

'What!? No, it can't be!' I shouted in my head as I looked in the direction that I felt the energy come from. What I saw made my eyes widen and my jaw drop.

'Omega Shenron.'

He was hovering above the island that I was on, and to say the least, he looked furious.

"You annoying nescience. It seems I told you, it's way too late to save your world." he said.

I charged my Ki and transformed into a super saiyan. I then looked up to him with a serious expression before charging him as fast as I could.

But as I reached him, he mearly moved to the side like it was nothing before kneeing me in the stomach, causing me to cough up blood and then slamming me on the back of the head with both of his fists, sending me to the ground with a loud crash.

I shakily pushed myself up off the ground. I still had not recovered from my fight with Ultimate Shenron. This was not good.

Omega calmly landed on the ground in front of me. I pushed myself to my feet and tried to punch him, but he caught my fist with his and just held it there, smirking as he did.

"It's too bad, you were so close, but you failed. And now, you will die with the earth you love so much." he said before quickly letting my fist go and kicking me up into the air.

He followed me but warped mid flight. I righted myself and tied to sense him out, but as just as I found his energy, he flew past me, hitting me as he did, again and again. I tried to recover, but I then felt a large foot fly into my chest at high speed, winding me completely. I saw Omega Shenron was the one who had kicked me in the stomach, who then warped away faster than I could see.

I straightened myself up and tried to find him again, but then there was a 'whoosh' behind me. Before I could even turn all the way around, Omega hit me again, sending me flying into the ground with a loud crash.

When my eyesight cleared, I found myself lying on my back in a crater, back in my normal form and completely unable to move as I struggled for air, Omega was above me, looking down at me.

He huddled himself for a second before exposing hiss chest to the sky. Six beams glowed out of his chest, before they all expanded outwards and formed a large energy ball in the middle.

"This is the End!!!" he shouted before grabbing the ball and forcing it in my direction.

I knew what this was. This attack was his 'Minus energy ball', and there was nothing I could do to stop it.

I watched as the energy ball slowly made it's way down to me, almost seemingly as if it was taunting me as it did.

I closed my eyes and waited for the inevitable. The world was about to end and there was nothing I could do about it. I felt a single tear leave my eye as I realized the horrible truth.

I had failed.

I felt my body turn cold. That feeling soon vanished, leaving me with nothing. I had died.

Or so I thought.

~~~~~
(Elsewhere, in another plane of existence. But many many years ago.)
"Mother, why is it that I am so different?"
"What do you mean my little colt?"
"I mean, why is it that everypony looks at me strangely? All I want it to be normal, but I can help but feel out of place."
"That is because you are my son. I think it the everypony is looking at you strangely because you have both wings and a horn, that is not a common trait."
"Yes but, how is it that my magic is far beyond that of any other pony? It scares me to think what might happen if I loose control."
"Listen to me my son. The power that you feel within you is a trait that you inherited from your father. He was able to not only control it, but harness it for the good of all those who desire the right to live in peace. Your father was also different, not just magically, but physically as well. You have nothing to be ashamed about."
"What was he like? Dad?"
"Well, once he put his pride aside, he became one of the most kind and caring beings that I have known. He was willing to sacrifice himself for everything he loved. Which surprises me to say because not many of his race shared his ideals."
"D-do you think that I could be a hero like him one day?"
"To me, you already are my little colt. You already are."
~~~~~

(Perspective: Celestia. Present time.)

I opened my eyes from my memory of oh so long ago, feeling my eyes begin to slightly water before I composed myself again and got back to what I was doing beforehoof.

I sat upon my throne, looking out over the empty throne room that lay before me. Aside from my royal guards that were posted in here and acted like statues, I could not help but feel like something was missing.

But I could not let that show, just in case.

I closed me eyes and let out a deep silent sight through my nostrils. Today had been rather slow, but thing were always like that these days. Even with my little sister back, she slept through the day, making me feel somewhat alone.

I opened my eyes again and continued to stare into the empty room before me. I just felt as if I needed more excitement in my life like I used to have back many years ago.

I was about to stand up, but as I did, I felt some sort of discharge of a great and terrible energy. The shock of the magical force alone caused my horn to spark wildly before returning to normal as if nothing had happened. I quickly scried the area where I felt the energy, but only found a smaller fading one....

...That seemed too familiar.

"Princess, are you alright?" I opened my eyes and found my guards all looking at me, concerned expressions upon their face for they had witnessed the anomaly. I opened my mouth to respond, but Luna teleported into the throne room with a worried look upon her face also.

"Sister? Did you feel it?" she asked as she came up to my side and sat beside me. 'No, it couldn't be him.' I tried to tell myself. I knew better than to hope in the impossible. "Tia, what is is?" Luna asked, obviously concerned with my reaction to these events.

"Guards!" I snapped, causing most of the ones inside of the throne room to snap to attention. "We must hurry! I want some of you to go and prepare the royal emergency room while my sister and I handle this anomaly! We shall return soon! I ordered before galloping out of the throne room.

"Tia!? What is happening!?" Luna shouted as she tried to keep up.

"It's him Lulu, I just know it to be true!"

"Who? Who would have the audacity to cause a tremor of that magnitude in the magical balance?"

"That power is gone Lulu, but somepony else I would just love to say greeting to has returned after many years." I explained.

"Yes, but who is it?"

"Its him Luna. I think that my little colt has come back home."

Chapter 1

(Perspective: Orion)

"Ugh. I need a holiday."

I had been laying in a crater for the past two hours, doing nothing because... well, I couldn't. Aside from the fact that I could not properly feel the vast majority of my body, but every time I tried to move, a wave of pain shot through every fiber of my being, causing my to want to vomit. I couldn't even attempt to turn my head.

How I was still alive in the first place... '?'

So because of that, I was just content to lay still and stare up into the sky that was above me. It was a beautiful sight... the sky. It must have been late afternoon because she sun was sending golden rays over the horizon, making the sky have a orange appearance.

I closed my eyes and let out a sigh. Take away the fact that I was crippled and the fact that the Earth was most likely in trouble, the sight seemed breathtaking... Not literally, but...

... Yeah.

I felt my heart beat slowing down ever so discreetly. I may have been alive, but I knew for a fact that there was no way I would have gotten out of Omega's attack without any sort of injury. My shots and twinges of pain that I felt occasionally sided with the strange feeling of warm sticky wetness underneath my back, which I presumed to be blood, confirmed what I already knew.

I was alive, but unless I could move and find some medical attention, I wouln't be for much longer.

It wasn't all that bad. Dying. I mean, I tried to save Earth, but...

'What am thinking? I'm a failure.' I thought to myself as tears came to my eyes. 'I tired. I tried so hard to save the world. But instead I just ended up making history repeat itself. I made one mistake with my stupid wish and ruined everything.'

I wanted to cry at my failure, but I was too tired to even do something as simple as that. Instead, I just thought about all those people I failed, the souls that died and will most likely die again.

I felt my heart continue to slow down even further which was followed by an excruciating cramp in my chest area. On instinct, I tried to put a hand on my chest, but the sudden movement sent a scorching burning pain through my arm that spread through my shoulder and my chest. I wanted to scream out in pain, but I couldn't.

I relaxed tried to relax myself as best as I could in an attempt to quell the pain, but doing so made my eyes feel so heavy that I didn't think I would ever be able to open them again.

My breathing began to slow as well. I knew what was happening, my body was slowly beginning to fail. Sadly, I had accepted it. I felt that this was reasonable punishment for failing.

I felt my mind beginning to drift and...

"Hurry! I'm loosing him!"

My mind came back as I heard the female voice, but only just. Maybe, just maybe, I will live through this after all.

"Tia, we have found him! He is inside the old castle!" I heard the female voice call out. I then heard what sounded like larger-than-normal footsteps beside my head before I felt myself being lifted up off the ground by a pair of arms as whoever was calling out cradled me in their arms. "Tis alright young one. We promise thee will be alright."

'Uh what?'

I heard a weird jingling sound before a soothing sensation washed over me. I felt my mind beginning to slip, but this time was a lot faster, as if I was being put to sleep.

I wanted to protest, wake up and open my eyes so I could find out who was putting me to sleep. But I was loosing.

Soon, my mind slipped and I fell into a deep sleep.

~~~~~
"Tis going to be ok dear sister. Thine child has survived his ordeal and is now recovering." I heard the female voice from before I passed out say.
"I know Luna, but look at him. He looks like he has suffered so much pain. What kind of mother am I to allow my own son to be harmed in such a way?"
'Wait, I swear I have heard that voice before.' I thought to myself in confusion. 'No, I must be imagining things. Loss of blood can do that.'
"No Celestia. We shall not allow thee to blame herself for events beyond her control. Thee were not the one responsible for thine child's condition." this so called Luna said sternly.
"But..." Celestia began, but was cut off as I heard a door open.
"Ah, Doctor Goodcare. Mine sister needs to be reassured that this one will be fine." Luna said.
"Oh, Princess Celestia, Princess Luna, I can guarantee that the patient will return to full health soon. I will admit that during his checkup three days ago, his magic reserves were alarmingly low for anypony let alone an Alicorn, but his condition has improved significantly since then and is making a remarkable recovery." I heard a male voice say.
'What the hell is going on? And what the hell is an Alicorn?' I asked myself. I was confused... No, I was beyond that. There isn't even a word for how lost I was at that moment.
"Doctor, when do you suppose he will wake up?" Celestia asked in a quieter tone than before.
"Let me see here." he said before I heard what sounded like hoofsteps on a tiled floor. I felt something that was definitely not fingers touch my face and carefully open my eye.
My eyesight was blurred. All I could see was a giant blob of brown in front of me. I tried to blink to clear my vision, but I couldn't. It was as if I was too weak to do that.
"Hmm. As far as I can tell, he is in a semi-coma. He body is still as if it is asleep, but his mind seems to be functioning as if he is awake." the doctor said.
"S-So he can hear and see us?" Celestia asked.
My eyesight faded out again as the doctor let go of my eyelids. "I'm sorry Princess, but I truly do not know for certain. As far as I can tell, he seems to be in some sort of trance. But this is all just theory. I cannot no for certain of what is fact to an Alicorn because no doctor has ever needed to heal one before."
"What does thou mean by that?" Luna asked.
"Its faint, by along side his magic, there seems to be another form of energy, something that is not natural to any other sub-race of our kind. I do not know if it is to him or not, but whatever it is, it seems really weak."
"Can you describe the energy you picked up on?" Celestia asked.
"My best diagnosis is... well, we all know that natural magic comes from the mind. But whatever this energy is, it seems to be seeping from every fiber of his being, especially his heart. Aside from that, I cannot really describe it. I'm sorry" the doctor said with a shameful tone.
"Do not be sorry Doctor Goodcare. It is not your fault. Besides, even though I am not 100% certain, I might have an idea to what the energy is. If it is, you need not worry for it is a gift he inherited from his father. But just to be sure, I would like to do a scry myself if that is ok?" I heard Celestia ask.
"By all means Princess. If you think that he is going to be fine with this energy inside of him, that I wont worry about it any more."
With that said, I heard movement before hearing the same jingling sound as I heard before I passed out last time. But this time, instead of passing out, I only felt my body go numb for about a minute before returning to normal.
"It is ok Doctor. The energy inside him is fine." Celestia said.
"With all due respect Princess, what is it?" the doctor asked.
"That particular energy type is called 'Ki'. It primarily has one purpose, but with the right soul to wield it, it can become a beacon of hope to all those who need defending." Celestia explained.
'Hu, By that explanation, I dare say that this Princess knows more about Ki than she is letting on. But I wonder how she knows so much about me in particular, or my father for that matter? I didn't even know him.' I thought to myself. But thinking that led me to other thoughts.
I tried to remember back to the earliest thought I could. My mind stopped at the memory of me being in my first year of training in martial arts. I could not remember past the day I had my accident. I was only 9 years old when that happened. I strained to try and remember past that point, but I couldn't.
I sighed internally and gave up. There was no use giving myself an aneurysm trying to remember something I couldn't, not when I was in a limbo of consciousness of sorts and had others talking about me in weird ways. If I did, I might have missed an important piece of information.
"I have one final question doctor, about his injury that he suffered to the head?" Celestia asked.
"Oh... that... Well, we wont know what kind of damage has been done until we can asses him after he wakes up. But I don't think that that will be for a while yet." the doctor said before letting out a hum of thought. "I need to roll him over soon. Just so he wont develop bed sores."
"Would you like some help?" Celestia asked.
"Ah, yes. Thank you." the doctor responded.
I heard the jingling sound start up again before I felt my body begin to lift off the bed I was on. Strangely enough, I didn't feel anything touch me. It was as If I just began to float up on my own accord. But I was more limp than a balloon filled with water so I knew I wasn't the one floating. They had to be doing it.
I soon felt myself roll over so I was stomach down. I was laying on my back before, so I guessed that they were doing to lay me on my stomach now. I felt myself being lowered down and I prepared to try and get comfortable. But something happened. The moment I was back down on the bed, I knew something was wrong.
'What the hell? Why does my bodys joint's feel all wrong?' I asked myself. My neck felt longer than it should have, my elbows felt... backwards and I'm not even going to describe how my legs felt.
My heart rate began to pick up as the truth dawned on me. I knew my body and how it worked, but this was not it. This was something else entirely. I was in the body of something else.
"Doctor, what is happening?" I heard Celestia ask worriedly.
"I-I don't know. His heart rate seems to be picking up for no reason. He must be having a bad dream or something." I felt something jab into my neck before my mind began to slip again. I also heard the sound of a heart rate monitor slowing down. "There we go, he is stablizing now."
'What is happening to me?' was my last thought before I passed out again into sleep.
~~~~~

I awoke again to the steady beeping of the same heart rate monitor as before. Except, I had control of my body this time.

My eyes fluttered open slowly and and took in their surroundings. The first thing I saw as my senses returned to me was the roof of a dark room.

'It must be nighttime.' I thought to myself before slowly bringing a hand to the side of my head.

*Clunk*

"Ow." I hissed as I pulled my had away swiftly from my head. My hand seemed harder than normal. I turned to look at what was with my hand and my heart froze.

My eyes widened in shock at what I saw. My hand... was not there, it was a hoof. A hoof covered in cobalt blue fur.

'W-What is this!? What the hell is going on!?!' I shouted in my head. Fear began to wash over me.

I sat up and threw the blanket off of my body, but only to find my entire body was now different. Cobalt blue fur covered my entire body that had dramatically changed shape. I was no longer a saiyan, or even humanoid any more. The more I looked over the body I was in, the more I realized what it was.

I was in the body of an equine.

My guess at first was a horse, but my legs seemed too short for a horse so I came to the conclusion I was in the body of a pony. A cobalt blue pony?

The curious part of my mind had taken over me. This sort of transformation was definitely not natural, but I wanted to know what I really looked like. I could panic later when I knew it would be safe to do so.

I rolled over into a sitting position on the edge of the bed and carefully pushed myself up. On instinct, I tried to stand on two legs, but I ended up falling over onto my stomach on the ground with a thud. I groaned before remembering that horses and ponies walk on four legs, not two.

I mentally slapped myself before trying again, but this time properly as to the bodies norm and making much more success.

I knocked off the leads that led to the heart rate monitor and tried to walk, but only to fall over again. I pushed myself up again before trying again, but much more carefully and making even more progress.

As I wobbly made my way towards the end of the bed I was resting on, I took a moment to look around. I seemed to be in some sort of hospital, that much was obvious to me by the somewhat outdated hospital machines and sterile surfaces.

I got to the end of the bed and noticed a clipboard hanging off the bottom of the bed. I made my way over and wet to pick it up, but only succeeded in putting a hoof against it. I forgot I didn't have fingers any more.

I rolled my eyes and bent my forelegs to take a closer look at the clipboard.

'Well, first things first. They got my name wrong.' I thought to myself as I looked over the clipboard one more time. I rolled my eyes and looked around fora mirror or something, I wanted to know what I looked like to be exact.

I saw a door way that was open and walked over to it. Inside was a bathroom which had a shower, a toilet and one of what I was looking for. A mirror.

I walked up to the mirror and my breath caught in shock at what I saw. I was indeed a blue pony. And true to the writing of the clipboard, I also had white mane and tail. However, what caught my attention the most was the horn I had protruding from my head. I was a unicorn?

'No, wait. The voices I kept hearing called me an 'Alicorn'. There must be more to my appearance.' I thought to myself as I moved my head closer and glared at my appearance. Aside from the fact that I looked all wrong for a pony, I noticed that I had silver eyes.

seeing nothing else, I pulled my head away slowly and sighed. I turned to leave, but that was when I saw my other new addition.

Wings.

I had a pair of Cobalt blue wings pressed firmly by my sides. I looked away from the mirror and over my shoulder. Yep, they were definitely there.

I reached back and poked one of them with a forehoof, feeling the touch as thee nerves of the wing sent impulses up to my brain, telling me that I could indeed feel them. I tried to open them and fly, but failed miserably. I only managed to get then to stretch out, but not make them move in flapping motions.

'Pfft, its not like I need them that much anyway.' I thought to myself, but was then stuck with another thought.

I sat down how a creature on four legs sits down and closed my eyes as I tried to feel out my Ki level. My power was there but... I felt weak. I felt like the vast majority of my power had left me.

"No no! I just got my power high enough to save the world and now it's gone!' I shouted in my head. I worked so hard to get my power level up so high, but I was now right back where I started.

Weak.

I wanted to cry. 'What if Omega attacks again? I wont be able to do anything!' I shouted in my head. I closed my eyes tightly and memories of watching Omega's attack closing in on me replayed in my mind. I began to physically shake at the thought of failing a second time.

'Why? What did I do to be such a failure? What do I have to do to end all the suffering?' I asked myself as I began to break down.I couldn't take it. I had to lay and watch the world be destroyed once, and now I was going to.. have... to... ... ...again?

'Wait a minute. How is the world still here? Did I fail or not?' I asked myself. I needed to know for sure.

I pushed myself up and ran to the window that was beside my hospital bed and gazed out of it. To put it simply, I was confused at what I saw.

I appeared to be in what looked like a stone castle that was situated in the middle of a town I could not recognize. further more, the town seemed to be situated on the side of a mountain.

I was about to voice my concern out loud to myself, but I stopped myself when I head the doorknob that led into the room I was begin to rattle. My head snapped in that direction of the noise and I saw the doorknob moving.

I quickly looked around the room I was in for cover. I had no idea where of even what I was, so I wasn't going to trust whoever came through that door. For all I knew, it was them who made me look like I do.

I looked back outside the window and saw that there was a balcony on the level below the window I was looking out of. I cringed at the thought, but as soon as I heard the door squeak as it began to open, all bets were off.

I vaulted out the window and landed on all fours on the ground below.

"GAH! Ow." I let slip from my mouth before remembering I might be in a bad situation and ducked underneath a table that was on the balcony.

I felt 'my' hooves pulsate from the shock of the landing, but quickly shhok it off as I heard the sound of a commotion coming from the window I had just jumped from.Being mindful of my new horn, I peaked out from under my table and looked back up to the window.

"Guards! Somepony get the guards!" I heard a female voice shout out.

'Darn it. I have to get out of here.' I thought to myself as I scurried out from under the table and to the doors. I tried to open them, but they were locked. 'Damn.' I then ran, or galloped as its called, over the the edge of the balcony and looked down.

'Uh, I don't know about this. Its not that high, but it will still hurt.' I thought to myself as I looked down to the ground below.

"Look, there he is. HALT!" I looked back up to the window and saw another pony looking at me. "Guards! He's on the balcony below!"

'threetwoone.' I counted down really quickly in my mind before vaulting the edge of the balcony and falling to the ground below.

I braced myself as best I could, including tensing my back. To my confusion, my rate of decent rapidly decreased and I gently landed on the grass below.

I looked back over my shoulders and saw my wings had spread out like I had made them do before and that made me land much more gently that I thought I would. I relaxed and my wings folded back up by my sides.

I laughed a bit before beginning to run. I was still not used to this body, but I have to admit. Running on four legs felt so much better than it does on two. It felt more... natural.

I increased my speed further and smiled at my victory. I was getting away, and I knew it.Or so I thought.

My smile faded before a loud rumble emitted from my stomach which was soon followed by a painful cramp. The cramp caused me to yell out in agony before forcing me to wrap both of my forehooves around my midsection. I fell over onto my side and curled into a ball as waves of pain washed over me.

"Quickly guards, he's over here!" I heard a pony call out. I looked over and saw about 20 of them all galloping over to me but my vision began to fade out.

Again, I soon passed out, but this time from exhaustion.

Chapter 2

"Ugh." I groaned as I awoke again back into the realm of the living. I breathed in a large breath of cool air and slowly began to open my eyes before trying to look around.

I let out a frustrated sigh when I realized that I was back in the hospital room that I woke up in last time I woke up alive. The only difference this time was that the suns rays were seeping in through the exposed parts of the windows curtains.

"Oh my goodness. Private, go and inform the princess the patient is awake." I looked over to where I saw the voice come from and saw another pony beside me, looking over me with a smile. Behind her, I saw another pony bolt out of the room and to the side out of my sight.

I looked back to the other pony who was in the room with me as she slowly and cautiously approached me. Underneath her gold armour that she was wearing, she had a white coat and a two-toned blond mane. She also had a set of wings, but unlike me, she lacked a horn.

"H-Hello sir. How are you t-today?" she asked carefully as she got to the side of my bed. I sat up and put a forehoof up to my head and sighed. I was still in the body of a pony.

The female pegasus put a hoof on my shoulder and gently eased me back down into a laying position. I looked to her curiously, but she had a stock expression.

"I'm sorry sir, but I have been ordered to not let you move from your bed after your last little stunt." she said with more confidence this time. I rolled my eyes and tried to get up again, but she just pushed me down again.

"Ugh fine." I groaned as I gave up trying to sit up. She wasn't going to let me and I felt too weak to start a fight at the moment anyway. "What's your name anyway?" I asked.

"I am 2nd Lieutenant Day Star. And I have been given strict orders to not let you out of my sight sir!" she said a little too loudly than necessary.

"Thats great. Now, can you please tell me why it is that I am not even allowed to sit up?" I asked.

"Princess's orders sir! You are not to leave the bed!" she responded.

'Wow. It's like a switch has been flicked inside of her and now she's all 'Yes Sir!'' I thought to myself as she stood up straight.

"Ok, so talk to me normally this time. I am not allowed to sit up why?" I asked again.

"Sir, its because... S-sorry. Its because I was told to..." she began again, but I cut her off.

"Yeah, I'm not allowed to leave. But why cant I sit up? I have been laying down for god-only-knows how long and my back is beginning to hurt. I need to sit up for a while." I said.

The pegasus took in what I said and thought about it for a moment before letting out a sigh and taking her hoof of my chest.

"Alright, you can sit up. But I will be watching you so don't try anything funny." she warned. I laughed a bit at that and pushed myself up again into a sitting position.

'Jeez, wont get used to this.' I thought to myself as I sat how a dog would sit. My legs felt weird as I did.

"So, what now?" I asked as I looked back to Day Star. She was staring at me somewhat intently with those big golden eyes of hers. It was actually beginning to creep me out.

"Well, now we wait for the princess to arrive with Doctor Goodcare. Then they can go over a few tests to see if you are ok in the head." Day Star said.

"What do you mean? I feel fine." I said.

"So you think. Doctor Goodcare thinks that your attempted escape last night was a sign of schizophrenia and wants to do a few test to make sure you don't have amnesia or something." she explained.

"Seriously?" I asked, only to get a nod in return. I sighed in frustration, but something was nagging at the back of my mind.

I crawled to the end of the bed and grabbed the clipboard from the end of the bed with my moth before sitting back and dropping it. One thing kept telling me something I was in a situation.

'Name: Solaris.'

That one line on the report had me slightly worried. If they had named me, that means the body I'm in has a name, and is known. But the question is: How well known?

I was about to ask Day Star if she knew who I was, but I stopped when I heard a commotion coming from outside the room we were in. I looked over to the door and saw a few ponies walk into the room. One had a lab coat and the rest had nurses caps.

Then another walked in through the doorway. But this pony was different. She was not only at least double my size, but she two had both wings and a horn. She also had a white coat just like Day Star, but this tall pony's mane and tail was a mixture of blue, pink and green. They also seemed to be blowing in the wind regardless of the fact that there was no breeze within the room. She also sported a gold chest plate, gold shoes and a golden crown.

'Oh great, she must be the leader of the land or whatever they call themselves here. She must be here to find out something about me.' I thought to myself as the tall pony looked into my eyes with her violet ones and smiled.

"Well, you would actually happen to be right. But the question is, Do you know who I am?" The pony asked. My eyes widened in shock.

'How did she know what I thought? Is she capable of reading my mind?' I asked myself.

"Not an act I normally like to do. But until I restore our bond with one another, I need to make sure that you will not think ill against me." she said.

"Look you highness. I mean no disrespect, but I don't really like having my thoughts invaded. So I would appreciate it if..." I said, but trailed off as the tall pony made her way over to me and stood next to the bed I was sitting on.

"Oh Solaris, you have no idea how long I have waited for you to come home." she said with glee as she reared up and wrapped her forehooves around me followed by her wings.

I looked up to her face and saw her horn begin to emit a golden aura around it. Next thing I know, I feel a strange feeling coming from my forehead. I looked up out the top of my eyelids and saw that my horn also had an aura around it, but white instead of gold. There was also a spark of blue electricity passing between our horns. It felt kind of soothing.

I let it go on for a moment, but I was then suddenly hit with a sharp pain in my head, causing me to on instinct to push the pony off me, breaking the connection of whatever it is she was doing in the process.

"Ah! what the hell did you just do to me?" I demanded as I put a forehoof up to my head and rubbed the area around the base of my horn. My brain felt like it was cramping, causing my vision to go out of focus every now and then.

"Solaris please. You must let me finish opening the connection."

"No Celestia. No more of..." I began, but trailed off as I realized something. "How the hell do I know your name all of a sudden!?!" I demanded loudly.

"Solaris, you just need to trust me and everything will become clear. I promise." she pleaded as she began to slowly inch her way back over to me. Seeing this, I jumped up to all fours and on instinct flared an aura around my horn. I realized what was wrong, but shook of the feeling and concentrated on the ponies within the room.

"Stay! Back!" I warned, causing all but Celestia and Day Star to back up in shock. "I don't want to hurt you, but I will if need be!"

"Please stop Solaris. If you just..." Celestia began, but I cut her off.

"MY NAME IS NOT SOLARIS!!!" I shouted out in a really loud tone of voice that seemed to shake the entire building. Realizing the potential destructiveness of such a volume, I toned it down as I continued. "I am Orion and I am a saiyan!"

I galloped for the closed window, but instead of taking the time to open it, I just decided to smash through it.

I cleared the balcony below and continued to fall to the ground. I managed to roll over so my legs were underneath me before opening my wings like I did last time. I closed my eyes and awaited the impact of my hooves hitting the ground, hard.

But after a moment of nothing, I began to feel a little confused. I opened my eyes and noticed that the ground was below me, but not getting any closer. I tilted my head in confusion before looking over my shoulder to see that both of my wings had flared out like before, but this time were flapping.

I tried to move them in different ways to alter direction from hover and it worked. It was like I had done it for years or something.

'What the hell did she do to me!?!' I shouted in my head. Aside from the migration I now sported within my cranium, I felt like this body was more natural, more... me.

"Guards your princess need you!" I heard Day Star shout from back inside the window. I ignored her and shook off my state of confusion about the body I now possessed before attempting to fly away.

I only got about 100 metres before I felt something basically dive bomb into me and send us both crashing to the ground.

I recovered quickly and just before We hit the ground, I flared both my wings and Ki to stop myself from making impact before flipping whoever grabbed me off.

I looked to who grabbed me and saw another pony in gold armour. This guy had a white coat and a red mane and tail. He also had a set of winds.

The pegasus guard shook of his shock and turned to face me before striking the ground twice with his forehoof. He then snapped open his wings and shot at me like a bullet.

"Pfft, please." I said before bracing myself for impact as the pony shot at me. I reared up at the last second and we both grabbed each other as he slammed into me. But because I was prepared, I rolled him over and slammed him into the ground.

I was about to knock him unconscious but a purple glow surrounded me and dragged me off of the pegasus before suspending me in the air. I tried to move, but all I managed to do was flail around like an idiot.

I was slowly turned around and I came face to face with another pony, aside from the fact that I was still upside-down. This one was white like all the rest and had a two-toned blue mane and tail. He also had a horn and his armour was purple with gold trim.

I tried to take a swing at him, but he quickly moved his head back and I only resulted in hitting nothing but air.

"Darn it! Let me down already!" I demanded as I continued to struggle.

"I'm afraid I can't do that. I have been ordered to restrain you until Princess Celestia retrieves you." he said calmly.

"Seriously, let me go now or I will make you." I warned but he just continued to smirk at me. "Fine. Don't say I didn't warn you."

I flared my Ki and formed and radical aura around my entire body, shattering the unicorn's hold on me in an instant.

Instead of falling back to the ground, I had enough energy to keep me in the air without using my wings. I remained floating upside-down for a moment before relaxing a bit, but not dropping my aura, before slowly rolling over to right myself and touching back down to the ground. The unicorn looked so shocked at what I had done.

"I'm sorry, but I tried to tell you. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go." I said before relaxing completely, letting my aura vanish as I did.

I turned and began to walk away. Not run, or even trot. Just walk.

Eventually, I came across a gate in a fence line. There was another two guard ponies standing guard on the outside. I was about to open my wings again and just simply fly over, but something stopped me.

"SOLARIS!!!"

I looked back and saw Celestia standing there with what looked like 50 royal guards behind her.

"Solaris, stop this madness. Please, I beg you to just come back with me and we can sort this whole mess out." Celestia said as she began to inch closer.

"Why Celestia? Who am I to you that makes me so god-damned important that you just cant let go?" I asked.

"I-I... Well... I-Its that... You are..." was all I heard before she mumbled the last bit. I rolled my eyes.

"Oh will you just tell me already!?!" I shouted.

"You're my son!!!" she shouted back. I was taken aback by her response.

''Hu? No, there is no way that is true. She's just trying to buy time for something.' I told myself. But something was wrong. That feeling I felt when she first connected our horns. It felt so... loving.

I shook my head and kept trying to tell myself that it wasn't true, allowing Celestia to sneak her way up to me as I tried to block the thought out.

I was snapped out of my thoughts when I felt a hoof lightly grab me. I looked to its owner and saw Celestia looking to me with a hopeful smile before slowly trying to pull me into another hug.

'N-No! Get away from me you moster!" I shouted before slipping out of her grip and trying to run. But I only got about three steps before Celestia wrapped her forehoves around me into an embrace. I struggled against her, but I was to distracted to concentrate my Ki enough to get free.

"It's ok my little colt. Mommy will make it all better." she said soothingly before I felt the same soothing feeling as I did earlier. She was trying to do the thing with our horns again.

'No, I have had enough of this!' I exclaimed in thought before throwing my head back. I then threw my head forwards hard and head butted Celestia right in the snout, breaking her spell again.

Without stopping, I flew up into the air and put both of my forehooves to the sides of my head.

'Damn I hope this works.' I thought to myself. I watched as all of the pegasi guards all lifted off to meet me in the sky, but I was prepared.

"SOLAR FLARE!!!"

The moment the words left my mouth, a blinding light emitted from my body, causing all the ponies below to cover their eyes and and shout out in pain as the light temporarily blinded the most of them.

Seizing the moment, I put a forehoof up to my forehead and concentrated for a moment as I prepared for the instant transmission. And without even trying to sense out a safe location, I just transmitted to a location that my mind was telling me to.

So with that, I was gone with a flash.

~~~~~
(Perspective change: Celestia)
I sat up and looked around to all my dazed guards, my snout throbbing as I did. It hurt, but I had another pain within me that made the throbbing of my snout seem like an itch.
Despair, despair for my little colt.
All I had tried to do was help him, to open up our bond so that I could have him within my grasp once again. I am aware that he acted in self defence, but knowing that doesn't make it hurt any less.
'I'm so sorry my little colt. All I wanted to do was help you, to reunite us after all this time, but all I did was scare you away.' I thought to myself as tears came to my eyes.
I felt a hoof grasp my shoulder. I looked back and saw my sister, Luna, looking to me with a sad expression.
"Is thou alright?" she asked, But I just shook my head before looking down. "Do not worry dear sister. We shall reunite thou with her heir. We promise it."
"No Luna. He still has some of his Ki power. You would not stand a chance." I said as I grabbed her and pulled her into a hug.
"Relax Tia. We will only find him and try to talk him down." Luna said as she returned the hug. "As you said, it will be ok."
I released Luna from the hug and smiled. She also smiled.
"Captain Shining Armour!" I called out. He came ups to us and saluted both myself and my sister. "Captain, I would like you to help Princess Luna track down Solaris. Send out flyers and get each guard division in each city to keep an eye out for him. But remember, I want him back un-harmed." I said.
"It will be done your highness." he said as he bowed before turning to walk away.
Soon, I would have him back. But this time, I will not let him go so easily.
Chapter 3
*Whoosh* *Thud*
"Mmm, yep, definitely taking a holiday." I groaned to myself as I just lay on the ground. After using the Instant Transmission technique, I was feeling to weak to actually even try and move let alone get up.
'Well, at least I know I made it home.' I said to myself as I smile formed over my face. I finally opened my eyes to have a look around, but doing so made my smile drop. In confusion to what I saw, I pushed myself into a sitting position and looked around.
I was in some room that looked like no one had entered in at least 2000 years. As far as I could tell, it looked like old bed chambers that were part of one of those prehistoric stone castles.
There was a bed that was broken with torn bed sheets, a desk that somehow still stood, but looked very aged and ready to break, a couple of book shelves with books that were so deteriorated that they were non-readable, a shattered window, holes in the roof and walls, vines growing everywhere and finally, everything was covered in a layer of dust at least 3 inches thick.
I stood up and walked over to the book shelf and levitated out a single book, frowning as I realized that I just used magic from my horn like it was natural.
'What the hell did she do to me?' I asked myself as I thought about that stupid connection. Whatever it did, it made me worried, but I had better things to worry about at the time.
I shook off my concern and concentrated on the what I was doing. I opened the book, but let out a sigh as I realized that the words were so faded that they were not readable whatsoever. I went to put the book back carefully, but it just fell apart and blew all over the room.
I rolled my eyes and began to make my way over to the window, but stopped and looked at the bed on the way.
I knew it wasn't exactly in good sleeping order, but I had to test it. I gave the bed a very light jab with my forehoof and as I expected, the bed collapsed and fell apart. I let out a small laugh, I don't know why, but that was just funny to me.
I continued to the window before heard a crunch under my hoof followed by a sharp pain.
"Ow." I said as I lifted my forehoof of the ground only to see a few small drops of blood leak from a new cut on my forehoof. I looked down to the ground and saw that I had stood on a shard of glass that was once part of the window. The ground was covered in glass. I used my magic and sweeped the glass to the sides and continued to th window before looking out of it.
Outside was nothing special. All I could see was some dark and dank forest and the sky was dark and cloudy.
'Where the hell am I?' I asked myself. When I used the Instant Transmission technique, I thought of home. But this isn't home, I have never lived in some stupid old castle. I was pretty sure I would have remembered that.
I made for the door, but my eyes caught a glimpse of the desk. I stopped and changed direction to the desk.
I looked over the desk and saw nothing that interesting about it. The desktop was clear of anything but dust and the drawers were empty. I let out a small growl before giving the desk a solid punch, causing it to fall apart like it was a pile of burnt wood ready to be turned to ash.
I let out a sigh and was about to walk away, but something else caught my eye. A small glint of gold.
I carefully pushed aside the scrap wood and extracted the small piece of gold from the pile, but only to find myself a small dirty necklace. I levitated a small section to the bed sheets over and used it as a rag to clean the necklace. When I was done, I was left with a golden necklace that had a medallion that was the shape of Celestia's cutie mark.
How I knew what a cutie mark was...?
Anyway, I turned the medallion over in front of my face, examining it closely as I did. I noticed a small line down the edge and a hinge on the other side. It was a locket.
I opened the locket s carefully as I could and was met with a small photo on one side and an engraving on the other side. I looked that the photo and saw Celestia hugging a small colt. A small colt that looked like... me, but younger. Celestia seemed so happy in the photo and so did the little colt. I turned my attention to the engraving and began to read.
~~~~~
To my little sunshine. I will always be there for you. All you need do is ask. Love Mommy.
~~~~~
Short but simple. I think that Celestia gave this locket to Solaris so that he would always remember her. It's too bad that she ended up loosing him.
'This doesn't mean anything Orion. You are still a saiyan and not some pony just because another pony wants you to be.' I told myself. 'I just need to recover a bit and try and get home again. The only thing is, I have to try and find a way to change back to my natural form.'
I placed the locket back down on the scraps of wood. It wasn't my place to take it after all. It wasn't meant for me.
I pulled my gaze away from the necklace and began to make my way over to the door out of the room, but to my growing frustration, something else caught my attention. The sound of fluttering coming through the window.
I turned my head and my eyes widened in shock as a huge flare of fire came at me. I dropped to my stomach, narrowly avoiding the flare and rolled to the side before turning and glaring at whatever the flare was.To my confusion, I saw that it was not just a lick of fire of any sort, but actually a living creature, a bird.
"Hey, a phoenix." I said as the phoenix landed down on what was left of the desk an looked at me quizzically. I cautiously made my way back over to the desk, watching the phoenix as I did just to make sure it didn't attack me.
I manage to walk right up to the phoenix and sit down in front of it. But as I tried to carefully reach out a hoof to pet it, it took off again before landing on my hoof and rubbing its face against mine.
"Woah! Friendly little bird aren't you?" I asked rhetorically before pulling my head away and standing three of my four legs. After I stood up, the phoenix, flew up off my foreleg and made its new perch on my back.
I looked to the bird that rested on my back with a confused expression. I was confused as to why a bird that was made of fire was making itself at home on me like I had its complete trust. I didn't question its existence because my mind quickly reminded me of what I was at the time. I shook off my thoughts about the phoenix and began to leave the room.
'So, situation assessment. I now I have a phoenix that basically acts like a pet, an Alicorn that claims to be my mother and who probably is very angry with me for head-butting her in the face, my power level feels as if it is only around 900 or so because of my weakened condition and finally, I still need to find a way to change back to my saiyan form and then find a way home.' I thought to myself before letting out a sigh. 'Ugh, what did I do to deserve this?'
I exited the room out into what looked like a hallway. It would have looked normal, but the damages to the walls and roof were far worse than what they were inside the bed chambers I had left.
I looked from left to right, observing the hallway and saw that the doorway I had just come through was two doors down from a dead end. I counted a total of 7 doors in the hallway, but I was not going to just go looking around in them all. My plan was to just get out of this castle.
I looked for an exit for three straight hours, just kind of floating from one place to another while looking for an exit. But to my fortune, I found what looked like a lobby or foyer.
I was a large room with nothing but some sort of stone structure in the middle of the room. But I looked passed that and saw a large set of double doors that led out into the open.
I began to make my way for the exit, but as I did so, the phoenix that had been resting on my back took off again and flew out of where the roof should have been. I would have done that for a start, but none of the holes in the roof were large enough for me to fit through. But this particular room basically had no roof what so ever.
'I wonder what could have caused the roof to be destroyed.' I thought to myself as I noticed that there was a large amount of rubble laying around.
I shrugged off the though and continued to make my way outside. I walked across the destroyed room, floating over any rubble that was bigger than me before finally stepping through the double doors and outside into the dark field that the castle seemed to rest in.
I saw what looked like a rope bridge that spanned over a chasm and led into the forest. I began to make my way in that direction, having nothing better. But I stopped when I heard a loud screech behind me.
I looked back through the double doors of the ruined castle and spotted the same phoenix that I saw before, but my eyes widened and my heart dropped when I saw what was behind it.
Ponies... And lots of them.
"Seize him!!!" shouted a pony I was already to familiar with. It was Day Star, wearing her set of golden armour with helmet and all. But behind her, there was a mass of ponies who were wearing either gold or obsidian coloured armour. How I had managed to walk passed them all without realizing was beyond me.
I tried to back away, but ended up backing into something. Turning around, I found even more guards behind me. I was completely surrounded on both ground and in sky. I think that their entire military force was there to get me.
On instinct, I tried to power up what Ki I had in me, but to my dismay, I couldn't. Something was blocking my power and leaving me completely helpless. I looked around and saw that basically every unicorn had an aura surrounding their horns.
'They must be working together magically to overpower me.' I thought to myself. I tried once more to raise my Ki level and failing as I did before, but this time I saw the unicorns auras brighten before their faces consorted into one of struggle. 'Damn, they are using magic to weaken me.'
In a desperate attempt, I opened my wings and took off in an attempt to run, but I felt something grab me. I looked back and saw a pegasus was holding me before another also joined him followed by another and another.
With my power being restricted because of the unicorns, I was probably less of a challenge than a common criminal, but they weren't taking any chances with my escape.
I tried to break free of the multitude of pegasi that had latched onto me and who were trying to force me to land, but unfortunately for me, they were not letting go any time soon and there fore, I ended up being brought back down to the ground.
"No, let go of me!" I shouted as I continued to struggle.
I slipped from one ponies grasp and used that to my advantage. With my free foreleg, I grabbed another pony and used him to hit the other holding my other foreleg, freeing it in the process.
With both of my forelegs free, I began to punch and swing at the guards holding me, hitting them all in the face just to stun them and make them let me go.
"Sweet Celestia this colt is hard to get a hold of!" one stallion guard that was holding me shouted before I knocked him off as well.
I got down to only having one more guard holding me. I was about to knock him off like I did the rest, but as I brought up my forehoof to strike him, another pony grabbed it and forced it behind my back in a submissive hold.
I kept trying to get out of the hold, but I was pushed to the ground on my stomach. I then rolled over onto my back which caused me to be able to get out of the submissive hold before looking up to the pony who had me.
It was Day Star, she was the pony who had tried to put me into a submissive hold. But fortunately for me, I managed to get out of it and now I had another chance.
I used my wings to quickly push myself up and instantly tackled Day Star before putting her in a head lock and using her as a pony shield as I flew up into the sky.
"Get back or I will snap her neck!!!" I warned loudly, causing everypony to freeze. I couldn't really bring myself to hurt her, but they didn't know that.
"Solaris!" one pony called up from the ground. I looked down and spotted the same white unicorn who wore the purple armour that held me in the air back at Celestia's castle.
"Who the hell are you!?" I demanded.
"Please, let me explain myself and don't hurt that guard." he pleaded. I glared at him for a moment before slowly lowering myself back to the ground. But as I landed, I forced Day Star into a sitting position and continued to hold her in a headlock.
"Alright pony. You have one minute." I said calmly.
"Ok. My name is Shining Armour, captain of the royal guard and husband to Princess Cadence, your cousin." I recoiled a bit when he said that, but I allowed him to continue. "We truly mean you no harm sir. We were simply ordered to bring you back to Canterlot for your own safety."
"What makes you think I need help. I can take care..." I began, but Shining Armour cut me off.
"Sir, I do not doubt your ability, but you are in more need of help than you realize. I was informed that not only did you run before your treatment in hospital could be completed, but you also interrupted Princess Celestia from opening your connection to her. She said that if the link is not opened completely, your mind will slowly begin to deteriorate from being overloaded." he said.
"Haha, yeah right. I'm not falling for it." I said with a laugh.
"Sir, please. Why are you so against trusting your mother?" he asked. I let out a puff of air through my nose before glaring at him.
"SHE IS NOT MY MOTHER!!!" I bellowed, causing everypony to take a step back in shock. "I don't know what you all did to me, but before I appeared here, I was a saiyan who was just trying to save his home planet but failed. And instead of dying like I should have, I wake up to find myself in this place and in this body. All I want to do is find my way back home and leave all of this behind." I explained.
"Ok, let me ask. What is the earliest memory you have back on... 'your home world'?" Shining asked.
"I-I don't know. I remember waking up in hospital. Apparently I was injured in a fight." I said.
"And let me guess. You were 9 years old at the time?" he guessed, causing my eyes to widen.
"How do you know that!?" I demanded.
"This is going to sound strange, but I will try and explain off every thing I know. Your name is Solaris, and you are truly an Alicorn. I was informed that Solaris, A.K.A, you, went missing at the age of 9 years old. So I am guessing that you found a way to run away to another planet or something, but something went wrong and you ended up injuring yourself." Shining said as he pieced together one possible scenario.
"E-Even if that was true, it still doesn't explain how I became a saiyan on earth... Wait, why am I even listening to this. You are just trying to break me." I said as I shook my head. What he was talking about made sense but I didn't want to believe it.
It was at that moment I felt something in my head, something off. I felt as if my brain was being squeezed.
"No, Solaris! Don't resist the connection. Its not safe." Shining pleaded.
"Argh, get away from me!!!" I shouted before throwing Day Star at him and quickly taking off into the air.
I got up about 400 metres into the air and just hovered before grasping my head in my forelegs. The pain inside my head was becoming unbearable very quickly, and it was getting worse.
I began to writhe and shout in pain, which caused my wings to lock and I began to fall back down to the ground. But I didn't care about myself falling, I just wanted to pain to go away. I clenched my eyes shut and gritted my teeth as I tried to hold my head tighter, but nothing seemed to make the pain go away.
As I was falling, I felt something slam into me, changeing my direction to the side before bringing me back down to the ground. When I was set down, I continued to roll around and thrash in pain, but I eased as I heard a voice inside my head.
"Sleep nephew."
I opened my eyes and saw Princess Luna, sister of Celestia standing over me with a sad smile.
"Close thou eyes and rest thou mind. Thee deserves rest." said the voice. Luna's mouth did not move, but I knew it was her that was talking to me in my mind.
She then faintly light up her horn and I felt the pain in my head fade before a wave of tiredness wash over me, making my eyes droop. I tried to stay awake, but I couldn't.
I closed my eyes and again was forced into sleep.
Chapter 4
I let out a content yawn before my eyes slowly fluttered open. It had been a long time since I had felt well rested. My joint's used to feel stiff and some would even click with movement, but now, as I stretched, my limbs felt strong and healthy. But despite my good health, there was still one thing that weighed on my heart.
Yet again, I had failed to do what I had set my mind to.
My failure streak began back when I trying to save the world. I had managed to collect 5 of the seven Dragon Ball's. That was when I learnt that Omega Shenron was the one responsible for all of the chaos that occurred on Earth. When I got the first five, I got ahead of myself and went after Omega because I thought that I could take him.
I was wrong.
I tried so hard, but he was unbelievably stronger than me, even when I was in my super saiyan form, and in the end, he bested me. However, he spared me and instead took the Dragon Ball's from my possession before scattering them all over the Earth again.
As soon as I could, I began to train again. I knew what I power level I needed to be able reach before I could try again, so with my mind set, I found others to help me try and train to higher levels than ever known by any before I began to set out for the Dragon Ball's again.
I had gained so much power that I was able to defeat all of my opponents who had a Dragon Ball with so much ease that I wasn't even in my super saiyan form and it was still really easy.
But after I gained 6 of the 7 Dragon Ball's, I knew what I was left with. I knew in my heart who had the final one.
Omega Shenron himself.
But there was a plus side. I also knew that with my new power, I actually stood a chance against him the second time.
~~~~~
(Flashback)

With the Dragon radar in hand, I knew just where I had to go. I already had 6 Dragon Ball's. All I needed to do was get the final one.

As I flew through the sky, I looked down to the radar that I held in my hands, a small arrow in the center of the screen and a flashing yellow star that was moving down towards the arrow, signalling that I was getting close. I looked up from the screen again and saw what looked like an arena.

'Darn, this means that Omega knows I'm coming.' I thought to myself.

As I got closer, I spotted Omega Shenron, standing in the center of the arena and facing away. Knowing that he knew that I was already ther, I didn't waste any time trying to be stealthfull and instead just flew down and landed behind him.

Omega turned around, laughing as he did as to try and put me off, but I wasn't falling for any intimidation tactics.

"Heh heh heh, You're finally here." he said as he crossed his arms as if to show that he was not afraid.

"I'm back, and I'm not happy." I said, just standing there with a determined look on my face.

"I've been waiting for you to collect all of those Dragon Ball's again. I hope you're stronger than you were before." he said as he looked over his hand before folding his arms again

"Of course I am. I will defeat you!" I proclaimed before bringing my fists up to my sides and raising my Ki, causing my white aura to engulf me as I glared at him.

We both stood there for a second, but that was until Omega rushed forward in my direction. I watched as he pulled back his fist and got ready to strike me.

However, with my newly acquired power, I managed to keep sight of his movements and lean backward, causing his punch to miss me and pass over my head.

I used this moment to my advantage and kicked out with both feet right into his stomach, winding him before I began my volley of super fast punches. I ended the volley after about 5 hits before kicking him up into the air with my left leg.

Without a millisecond's thought, I flew up after him and gave him a hit with my left fist, followed by a backhand with the same fist. I then I lent back and kicked into him four times and doing a flip to kick him one final time straight into his stomach again. I followed up with another left kick, but this time kicking him out to the right before giving chase again.

When I caught up again, I gave him two lightning fast punches before yet another left kick to the stomach and then kicking him again with both my feet to send him away again and giving chase.

This time, I layed on a super quick volley of punches while keeping up with him as he was flying backwards from each hit, not allowing him a second to do anything but take it.However, I stopped and let him fly back a little further.

Omega recovered and began to rush me again, but this time I jumped up into the air before shooting Ki blasts at him and stunning him again.

I shot a few more Ki blasts at him before warping behind him and giving him a strong enough punch to the back to send him flying again. I crouched my legs before warping in front of him and hitting him in his exposed stomach and hitting him back again. I did this 3 times before finally charging him again and giving him a hard punch followed by a right kick followed by another 3 punches, the final punch, hitting him higher up into the air.I then quickly flew behind him and kicked him in the back before using the same foot to kick him back down to the ground.

Omega collided into the ground with a huge crash that destroyed a portion of the ground. I looked down and saw him laying there, but I knew I had not beaten him so easily. So I brought my hands together before moving them to my side.

"KAMEHAME...!!!" I began loudly as I focused my Ki into my hands, forming a blue light ball which only grew brighter and brighter.

I then saw Omega flip to his side and land back on his feet, back still turned to me however.As he began to turn, I let loose my attack.

"HAAA!!!: I shouted as I thrust both my hands forward in Omega's direction, causing a bright blue bean to fire from my hands and directly at him.

Time seemed to slow down as I watched the beam shoot down at Omega. I caught a glimpse of his expression, but to my confusion, he was... smirking.

To my dismay, Omega threw out both of his hands and blocked my attack, stopping it in its tracks. I tried to pour more energy into the attack, but was met with failure.

Omega then threw both of his hands upwards and redirected my attack straight back at me. I stopped the beam shooting from my hands and warped out of the way. I watched as my attack flew past me and into outer space. But it was at that moment, I made a mistake.

I took my eyes off Omega.

I sensed his energy behind me, but as I began to turn around, he kicked me up into the air before giving chase.

I recovered mid-air, but as I began to search for Omega, he flew past me again at blinding speeds and before I could recover, he did it again and again. Before I could recover, I felt a large foot fly into my stomach, pain exploding throughout my body and causing my eyesight to blur.

But even through the blurriness, I could tell that it was Omega that had kicked me in the chest, hard. But that was until he warped away from that spot.

I finally recovered again, ignoring the burning pain I felt as I began to try and locate Omega again. But that was until I heard a whoosh from right behind me. Before I could turn around completely, Omega smacked me back down to the ground, and this time, I was the one to crash hard.

I lay there o the ground for a moment, just thinking about how he recovered so quickly from my attacks.

'He must have also gotten stronger since our last encounter.' I thought to myself as I pushed myself back up to my feet. 'But why, what is his purpose?' I decided to ask to find out.

"Why are you doing this!? Do you want to destroy the planet!?" I demanded.

"Destroy it? Now what fun would that be? This is all just for my amusement. Peace is boring." he explained. He looked as if nothing had happened to him, like I had never gotten an attack in on him.

"Peace is... what? Thats why you've ruined Earth!?" I demanded, thought of the absurdity of his excuse making my blood boil.

'I am saving the world because he is bored!?!' I shouted in my head. 'NO! That was the last straw!'

"You're insane! You wont get away with this!!!" I shouted before flaring my Ki as high as I could, causing my aura to go wild before turning gold. I crouched over and tensed my body as I became a super saiyan, my hair turning gold and my eyes turning green as my muscles bulked up.

As I finished transforming, I looked to Omega with a serious expression, but he looked unimpressed.

"I was so bored for so long... A world without conflict is just sickening. But thanks to these Dragon Ball's, I have found a fabulous way to entertain myself." he said with tone of voice that gave off his lack of interest of my transformation.

'Oh boy, do I have some new moves for you.' I thought to myself before charging my Ki even higher, my golden aura becoming large enough to take up someone his size. I then dashed forwards at a inconceivable speed, but it was a front.

As expected, Omega also charged forwards at the same speed. We both flew directly at eachother before slamming into eachother and entering a struggle. We were both trying to punch or kick while trying to defend against one other at the same time.

However, I wasn't even trying.

"HIIYYEEAAAHHH!!!" I shouted as I dodged one of his punches and kicked him out with both of my feet before pursuing him.

Omega managed to stop and recover, but his eyes widened at how fast I was coming at him. All he could do was mutter "What?" before I flew right up to him and slammed my right fist into his face so hard that anyone else would have exploded from the impact. But I didn't stop there.

I kept up with him and hit him with a left hook which was followed by a unseeable right jab then a left uppercut then a right kick to the stomach. I then spun around and gave him a super fast backwards roundhouse kick to the face which was followed by my right kneed slamming into his stomach. I then jabbed him with my left fist followed by a right hook and then another quick left jab followed by the right fist again before bringing my right foot up under his chin for a hard kick, causing his head to snap backwards.

Before he could recover, I gave one final right kick to his stomach and an uppercut with my left fist.

"GRRRAAAAA!!!" I groaned loudly as I forced as much Ki as I could into a ball of energy in my right hand. I then slammed that Ki ball into his chest as he floated above me before releasing the energy, sending a large, wide beam of light straight up and doing massive damage to him

When the smoke cleared, I could see that he was still alive. Omega was floating up in the sky with his eyes shut and panting heavily. He had multiple wounds all over his body.

I smiled as I took in the good feeling of pride. But my smile dropped as he threw his head back and shouted out at the top of his lungs.

"AAAHHHHH!!!! I will destroy you in an instant!!!" he declared before 6 purple beams shot out of the orbs on his chest, a large red energy ball that seemed to emit a blue light in a circle around it forming in the middle.

I got ready into another battle stance. The energy I was sensing was... wrong. And there was a lot of it. Omega then got behind the evil energy ball and placed his hands against its surface.

"GO TO HELL!!!"

And with that, Omega pushed the energy ball down in my direction and it began to slowly descend down in my direction.

'Oh no! If that energy ball hits the ground, its all over. I have to stop It!' I thought to myself. I knew what I had to do, I just had to do it.

I floated about 30cm off the ground and held both of my hands out in front of me. I then focused all the Ki I could muster from inside my body and formed it into a blue orb of energy in front of me that had so much power, it was emitting rings of pure Ki from it. This was my greatest attack.

"BIG BANG KAMEHAMEHAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!"

As I shouted the words, I lent back before throwing everything I had into thee attack. As soon as my hands hit the orb, a huge blue beam surrounded in huge lightning bolts blasted forwards from the orb in the direction of Omega's attack. The light it was giving off was almost unbearable to the eyes.

The energy wave blasted forwards before colliding with Omega's attack. Thats when a struggle for power began.

I could feel Omega's attack slowly beginning to overpower my. As it did, flashes of what the Earth would be like if I failed flashed through my mind, giving my new strength.

"I will not loose!!!" I shouted and I poured even more energy into the attack while also focusing the wasted energy from the rings into the beam itself. My attack expanded exponentially before forcing though Omega's attack, rendering it useless.

My attack didn't stop there however. The beam continued before slamming into Omega himself, engulfing his body.

"AAAHHHH!!!" I heard him shout out in pain. before the beam exploded and covered the entire desert in a firey cloud.

The cloud subsided quickly soon followed by the smoke. When I could see again, Omega was laying on the ground, not moving.

I slowly descended back down to the ground before beginning to walk over in Omega's direction. I got about 10 metres from him before he began to stir and push himself back up again, but with much more difficulty from his condition.

Omega pushed himself to his feet, but as he did, the 4 star Dragon Ball fell from his possession before rolling over to me. I knelt down and carefully picked it up, but as I did, Omega charged his Ki which cause a ark blue electricity aura to engulf him.

"This will fix the world. This will fix... Everything!!!" I shouted as I shot one more Ki blast at Omega.

It hit him and exploded on him, sapping the last of his strength, causing his aura to vanish.

"I-Impossible...! I-I'm Omega Shenron!" he stated as he collapsed to one knee. "This is far from over. Its way too late for you to save your pitiful world." he said before he began to laugh maniacally before falling down onto his stomach, never to move again.

"Blah Blah Blah... You're just a sore loser. Your game is finished." I said before an overwhelming feeling of victory passed over me. "Finally. The 7 Dragon Ball's... All of them... Right here." I said with a sense of glee.

I lent back to face the sky before taking a deep breath.

"Come forth Shenron!!!" I called out.

I watched as the sky turned dark and the weather began to get out of control. But I knew that it was just a sigh of the dragon's presence. I waited for what felt like ages, but the Dragon never appeared before me.

"Hmm, whats going on?" I asked myself. I pulled out my capsule case and took out a capsule before clicking the button. A loud *POOF* noise was heard before a saw a small pouch in my hand. I opened the pouch and pulled out what was in it.

"One senzu bean left." I said to myself. I shrugged my shoulders before throwing the bean into my mouth and eating it.

A moment of nothing passed, but I then felt my entire body explode into good health. The bean had restored me to 100%

"Now, to find that dragon." I said before taking off up into the sky and flying away.

~~~~~
(End Flashback)
That was the battle I fought just before fighting the Ultimate Shenron. I had won that battle, but it was my last real victory. Ever since then, I have just been making one mistake after another, failing each challenge that presented itself, and its been even worse since I became a pony.
All that hard work, all of that power that I had acquired through pain and effort, gone. I still had the potential to unlock it again, but what was the point.
'I'm the worst hero ever.' I thought to myself dejectedly as I let out a saddened sigh, a single tear escaping my eye.
I was laying on my side, in what felt like a large bed. I looked around as much as I could without moving my head. I didn't have he motivation to move.
My eyes spotted something on the bed side table. It was a crown, and underneath, a note.
Without even thinking bout it, I levitated the note over in front of my face and began to read.
-----
Dear Solaris.
Your presence is required before Princess Celestia at noon. Until then, you have been confined to your quarters. A member of Celestia's Royal Guard will retrieve you for your appointment.
Beside you is your Crown. All major royalty, both Prince and Princess's are recommended to wear one as a sign of power.
Two guards have been posted outside of your quarters for your safety. If you require anything, please ask one of them for what you require.
-----
I read over the letter and put it down as multiple red flags popped up in my head.
'Ok, 1# I will not be ordered around like that. 2# I don't want to see Celestia after what she's done. 3# I will not wear a crown. I fight for the people, but because they deserv it, not because I want to rule them.' I thought as I levitated the note back onto that bed side table.
I let out another sigh as I closed my eyes.
'If I can't get away from them, I'm just going to make life really difficult for them.'
With my master plan (Not really) set in motion, I got comfortable underneath the blankest of the bed.
'Now all I have to do is wait for that guard. I'ma annoy the hell out'a him.'
Chapter 5
"Solaris, No! Stop this right now!"
"Stay back foul demons!!! You shall not ever best me when I am inside my fortress!!!" I shouted in a heroic voice before jumping up from behind my table and lobbing the cake I had in my hoof at the doorway.
"Cover!!!" Shouted the same guard that had just tried to tell me to stop. I watched as about six guards dived to the sides of the door frame, but one just stood there, eyes shrinking to pin pricks.
I watched as the cake I tossed sailed through the air, heading right for the shocked guard.
*SPLAT*
"BOOM HEADSHOT!!!" I cheered while throwing both of my forelegs in the air before dropping back down and readying another cake to toss.
This all started back when a single royal guard came along with hopes to just deliver me to his Princess with absolutely no problems whatsoever. But I was not going to just be a pushover. I was going to make life difficult for them all.
The guard, who I learned was named Sure Shot, waltzed into my room with his head held high, walked over to me and smiled as he saw that I was awake. He asked me to get up and follow him when I was ready, but his smiled fell when I said no.
He tried asking again and even begging, but I still refused to move. But what I did not expect was for him to do what he did next.
He grew a look of determination on his face before lighting up his horn and dragging me out of the bed with his magic. He said something about following his orders before he then began to drag me through the castle. I didn't resist. My plan was to just act like a dead weight, but something happened.
He dragged me past the kitchen.
The moment I saw the giant stand filled with lots of different cakes, varying in shapes and sizes, I felt an urge from deep within me. I had no idea where the urge came from, but I knew what it was, and I knew that it was powerful.
I had suddenly grown an urge to act like a child and destroy while having fun.
While I was being dragged away from the kitchen, I reacted by jumping up and pushing the guard that was dragging me before turning and galloping as fast as I could back to the kitchen and locking the door behind me. I heard the guard begin to try and open the door, so I knew I didn't have very long.
I light up my horn and began to levitate everything inside the kitchen, making a fortress and a blockade at the door out of the furniture. I then carefully levitated the cakes over to me and set them on the ground aside from one.
I carefully held the cake in my hooves, not caring about the mess I was getting on my hooves and turned to face the door.
The door swung open and the guard jumped inside, snorting hot air from frustration before a cake made impact with his face hard enough to sen him right back out the door. But as I looked at what I did, I saw a group of guards on patrol standing there with shocked expressions from the guard that had just flown passed them, covered in cake.
They turned to face me as I lobbed another cake, scoring another guard in the stomach. That was when the war began.
Any guard that tried to enter through the blockade at the door was met with with a cake to the face. And that led me back to where I was.
I had just scored a head shot on a guard who just stood there, not knowing what had hit him before I cheered and ducked down to quickly get ready for another attack.
"Guard ponies! What in all of Equestria is..."
The moment I heard the voice, I jumped up and lobbed another cake, sending it soaring through the air before quickly dropping back to my stomach.
"Princess! WATCH OUT!!!" I heard a guard cry out, but he was too late.
*SPLAT*
"HUZZAH!!!"I jumped up and threw my hooves in the air again. But thats when I realized my mistake. My eyes shrank as I took in the appearance of who I had just stuck the the sugary goodness.
Luna. She was covered in cake and did not look too happy about it as she looked over herself.
"Uh-oh." I muttered to myself as I lowered my forehooves from the air slowly. Luna then turned to face me, a murderous look in here eyes.
"Solaris. Thou hast made a terrible mistake making an enemy of us." she said in a low voice as she approached my barricade. "WE SHALL HAVE REVENGE!!!"
She then lit up her horn and multiple cakes appeared around her, all floating in a dark blue aura. My heart dropped as I realized what was about to happen.
One of Luna's cakes then suddenly shot forward in my direction at blinding speed. All I could do was mutter "Oh." before my eyesight turned white and I felt a cold wet feeling hit me.
Luna had struck me with a cake right back into my own face.
I pushed myself back up and wiped my eyes clear with my forelegs before looking over to Luna. I felt my ears flatten against the back of my skull, but as I looked her over, I noticed a smirk upon Luna's muzzle.
"Oh, it is so on now." I said with a smile before quickly dropping back down and picking up another cake. I stood back up, but I spotted another cake flying at me.
I dodged it before throwing my own cake. It sailed towards Luna, but she dropped to her stomach and my cake passed over her and splattered against another guard behind her.
We both looked at the guard as he groaned and pushed himself up. Luna smiled before she lit up her horn brighter, engulfing half of the guards in her blue aura before they all disappeared.
I heard a whoosh and a pop noise on either side of me. Luna had teleported some of the guards beside me before she turned to face me.
"CAKE WAAAARRRRRRR!!!" she shouted before spawning a huge stash of cakes for her team.
"ATTACK!" I shouted back before picking up another cake before throwing it. The guards in my fort smiled to themselves before picking up their own before lobbing them.
The war went on for about 20 minutes. Cakes flying all over the room and hitting random places until both sides had run out of ammo.
After the last cake was thrown, I jumped my fortress wall and rushed the opposition, lighting up my horn and collecting all of the splattered cake everywhere into a huge wave of icing before flicking my horn and sending the wave at their team. The wave passed over them all and basically flattened them.
"VICTORY!!!" I shouted out, earning a loud cheer from my team. We all high-hoofed before making our way over to our defeated opponents and helping them back up.
I walked up to Luna and held out a hoof for her to help her up. but she only smiled evilly before grabbing my hoof and pulling me to the ground into the giant pool of Icing.
We then tossed and tussled for a bit, the guards surrounding us and cheering for who that thought would win the wrestling match between the two team leaders.
We wrestled for a few minutes before we eventually had to stop because we were both too tired to continue. So we both sat there, laughing from the fun we all just had. Even all the guards had dropped their attitude and were laughing as well as they had all just enjoyed the war.
"We should definitely do that again." I said through a few huffs of laboured breath. I looked over us all and saw that we all seemed tired and covered in cake. 'Hmm, I wonder what that Shining Armour is going to say about his guards being covered in cake.
"Alright guards. I believe that it is time to disperse. My nephew an I shall clean up this mess." Luna said in a normal accent to her normal 'we's and thou's'. All the guards saluted before leaving the kitchen, talking to eachother about how much fun the war was.
I stood back up and began to levitate my fortress apart before returning the furniture back to where it belonged. Luna opened a cupboard with her magic and levitated out a heap of cleaning utensils. After I finished with the furniture, I picked up a mop with my forelegs and flew up into the air before beginning to mop up our mess.
About 2 hours later, both Luna and I were standing near the doorway into the kitchen and gazing at our work. We had managed to clean the kitchen right back up to how it was... minus the cakes of course.
"Well, that was fun." I said as I levitated a dirty cloth into a bin.
"Indeed. We have not had so much fun since we discovered discovered its wonders." Luna said. Confused, I turned to face her with a raised eyebrow. "But we must ask. What prompted thou to destroy all of dear Celestia's cakes in such a manor?"
"Wait, all of those cakes were Celestia's?" I asked, to which Luna nodded. I felt like I had just signed my own death warrant, but I had no idea why. "Oh great. But to answer your question, I don't know. I saw all the cakes while I was being dragged to see Celestia and felt an urge to just have some fun." I explained.
Luna's face turned into one of thought form a moment as she let out a hum. But she soon lost the look and smiled to me.
"Come Solaris, thou art still required to see Celestia." Luna said, but the moment the words left her mouth, my ears fell and my shoulders drooped. All the good feelings I was feeling from the fun I had suddenly left me, as if for nothing.
"Great. There goes my fun for the day." I said quietly to myself. "Fine, lets just get this over with."
"Just a moment." Luna said holding up a forehoof to block me. She then lit up her horn before I felt something touch my head. "There. Thou art looking better now."
"What do you mean?" I asked as I reached up to touch what she had placed on my head, only to find out that it was the crown that I found next to me when I woke up. "Ooohh no. I don't think so." I said as I took it off my head and passed it back to Luna.
She looked to me with a confused expression, but did not take the crown from me.
"We do not understand? Thou used to always wear thine crown." she said.
"Again Luna, I'm not the Solaris that you all know. I just happen to look like him." I said, causing Luna to frown in disappointment.
"Solaris, please listen to us... I mean me. I know how you must feel. I hope you don't mind, but I viewed what you do remember inside of your dreams. I know that you think that your name it Orion, but If you allow myself and my sister some time, you will eventually remember what is locked away in your mind." she explained.
"Wait, Celestia said that I would only remember if the connection she tried on me was opened completely?" I asked. Luna opened her mouth to respond, but froze and visibly tensed. "Oh no. She didn't, did she?"
"No my son, I have not."
I tensed when I heard the voice behind me. She was there, standing right behind me and looking down upon my back. I slowly turned around and came face to face with her, those violet orbs peering into mine with so much hope and sorrow. I was about to open my mouth to speak, but she scooped my up into a hug again, but this time, I did not resist.
"I'm sorry Solaris. I should have asked, should have explained myself before trying to force the connection back open." she said as tears came to her eyes. That was when I noticed the bruise I had left her with after our last encounter, when I head butted her on the nose.
'I shouldn't have acted so violently.' I thought to myself as I felt a wave of guilt wash over me as I looked at the bluish-green space. "Look Celestia, I'm sorry about..." I began, but was cut off when she place her hoof on my mouth to stop me.
"Don't be my son. You were scared and acted in self defence. But I give you my word now, if you trust me and allow me to re-open the connection, I promise that you will still be yourself. And your memories from before the age of 9 will return to you." she said.
"I-I don't know. How do you even know that it's me who was your son?" I asked.
"Thats easy. Not only does your energy signature match that of my sons exactly, but only my sons mind could have accepted the connection. You see, if you wern't my son, your mind would have rejected my magic when I tried." she explained.
"I still don't know." I said as I looked away.
"Then listen to me. I have already begun to open the connection with you, this you know. but if the connection is not opened completely your mind will split in two. The mind that you are now, and the mind of a 9 year old child. But the trauma of the split will begin to pull your brain apart more and more until you wind up... dead. You have already experienced this twice now." she said.
"What do you mean twice? I don't remember either." I said.
"Well, first there was when my guards confronted you outside of the old castle. The burst of pain that you felt that was so bad that my sister had to put you to sleep to quell the pain. That pain was from the connection trying to force itself open, but you resisted." she said, I shuddered at the memory. "That was a small sample of what could happen. The second time was not too long ago as it were. With your little battle against my sister with my cakes." she said, causing me to look at her with fear. "You acted like a child because you had an urge to do so, but that urge came from deep within you, from a child who was lost." she explained.
"So, what should I do then?" I asked.
"Allow me to open the connection. As I said, you will still be yourself, but your lost memories will slowly come back."
"How slow?"
"I do not truly know, but you will not be overwhelmed suddenly if that is what you are worried about."
I couldn't help but think that my situation was hopeless. 'So its either die from probably the most agonizing death or become the son of a pony.' I thought to myself. To be honest, most would think that the better option was obvious, but I was still having doubts.
"Can I please have some time? If I am bound to this fate, just give me a day to accept it. and I will let you." I said.
Celestia smiled warmly and gave me a soft kiss on the forehead. "Of course my son. Just let me know if you need anything." she said.
"Thank you." I said with a smile.
Celestia released me from the hug and set me back down. I caught my balance before making my way past Celestia and exiting the kitchen before stopping and turning back to face her.
"I'm just going to go have a look around. Is that ok?" I asked.
"This is your home Solaris, and you are old enough to not need to ask to walk around." Celestia said as Luna giggled to herself. "But I will send a guard to find you when dinner is ready."
"Uh... ok. I guess I will see you later. Bye." I said before turning and walking away down the hallway.
I walked around inside of the castle for about an hour, making my way through the maze of corridors and looking at everything that was on display. But what annoyed me was, ever guard I passed either saluted me or bowed down in respect. Each that did, I told them to stop doing it, but they said that they were ordered to and they didn't want to get in trouble for not obeying orders.
I let out a sigh and made a mental note to have a talk with whoever made that order. I may have accepted my fate, but I was not going to stand for being held up like royalty.
So, trying my best to ignore the respect I didn't want but was been given anyway, I eventually made my way outside again, relishing in the warm sun as it shone on my cobalt blue coat that seemed to shine in the light.
I opened my wings and pushed off from the ground. I then flew forward at an easy pace, just enjoying the view of the city below.
'Its not all that bad. Who knows, there might just be some things worth discovering in this world.' I said to myself. I was going to miss everything I had lost, but I might as well try and enjoy myself in this world.
As I flew, I could not help but feel at ease. The wind sweeping under my wings gave me a sense of calm. I always liked flying, but for some reason, it felt... better, when using actual wings and not my Ki.
'Hmm, thats another thing. I am going to have to find out what this body is fully capable of, but not right now.' I said to myself. I was too busy enjoying myself being at peace for once to even think about training myself.
"Having fun?"
I was snapped out of my relaxed state when I heard the voice. I looked beside me and saw Day Star flying beside me, except, she was flying with her stomach to the sky and her forelegs folded behind her head. Another thing that caught my attention was that she wasn't wearing her armour.
"Yeah, I too love just going for a relaxing flight. It puts my mind at ease." she said as she brought a forehoof to her mouth an yawned.
"Yeah, it is nice up here. But what are you up here?" I asked.
"Well, I saw you take off and decided to see what was up. For once, you actually look moderately happy." she said.
"Well, for once, I'm not being hunted down by guards and I'm allowed to just go free for a while." I said as I closed my eyes and glided for a bit. "Speaking of which, why are you not in armour?" I asked.
"What, a mares not allowed a day off after the being threatened to have her neck snapped?" she asked in an offended tone. I felt my ears flatten against my head in shame as she said that.
"I-I'm sorry, but I was getting desperate. If it gives you any comfort, I wasn't actually going to do it. I would never be able to bring myself to kill an innocent." I said shamefully.
"I know. I was just jokeing. You were being hunted down like a guard would do to a high priority criminal even though you only wanted to be alone." she said. I looked up to her and saw that she was smileing. "But can I ask you something?"
"I guess."
"How did you do it? You were being pinned by at least 20 guards, and you just began to shake them off like it was nothing. I mean, where did you learn to fight?" she asked.
"At first, I taught myself how to fight, but when Earth fell under attack by a most powerful enemy, I needed help. So I studied under the Earth's best fighters and learnt all I could about their fighting styles and abilities. I had gained so much power that even I was beginning to fear it. But instead, I turned it on the enemy. Sadly though, I still failed." I said as my head dropped down in sadness.
"I'm sorry for that, but who knows, maybe it was for the better?" Day Star suggested.
"Yeah, maybe. But still, I can't help but hope that all those I left behind are ok." I said.
Day Star flew in front of me and blocked me. "Hey now. I'm sure that there ok. But we ponies have no way of telling for sure." she said before suddenly embracing me in a hug. "You have come home to a mother who loves you dearly. Even after you physically hurt her, she still fought to win you back." she said before letting me out of the hug and continuing to smile to me.
"I know Celestia loves me. She has proven it, but you still don't quite understand. I don't remember ever being a pony, only a saiyan. So when I pony claims to be my mother, I find it a little hard to believe. I still have doubts in my mind that this body is even mine, but I am hoping I will get over it." I said.
"Hey, I have another question. Reports say that you managed to use a spell to blind everypony before teleporting, but the reports also say that both of those actions was not magic. How did you do it then?" She asked.
"Oh, those are a few easy things I learnt that use Ki. Ki is another type of energy that anyone..."
"Anypony."
I rolled my eyes as Day Star corrected me.
"Sorry, Anypony then, can use. All you have to do is know how to train properly and have enough commitment."
'Wait a second I know where this normally leads.' I said to myself as a sense of fear came to me. I saw Day Star grin largely and I just knew what she was going to do.
"I don't suppose you could train me?"
"UGH! I had to say it didn't I!?!"
Chapter 6
"I don't suppose you could train me?" Day asked in a shy voice.
"UGH! I had to say it didn't I!?!" I groaned out loudly before rubbing my face with a hoof. "Why, why would you wan't me to teach you?"
"Uh, duh. What you did yesterday was amazing beyond all belief. We guards are trained to be able to take down any sort of criminal. But you made us all look like a bunch of useless cowards." she said.
"So thats it. You only want more power because you learnt that it was possible for you to get it?" I asked. She smiled to me and nodded. "In that case... No."
I watched her smile falter as she lost her composure, a look of plea coming to her face.
"Wah? Why the hay not!?!" she demanded.
"Simple. The kind of power that you are asking for, its... well lets just say that without a purpose, it can consume you and you can loose who you really are. In other words, those who do not use it for good, tend to turn bad." I explained.
"So, your saying it could corrupt me?" she asked.
"Pretty much. See, I was able to keep control of myself because I was required to when I needed to save Earth. I had a purpose, a reason to have it. I needed it to save the lives of those I cared about... Even though I still failed." I said as I trailed off at the last part while looking down in defeat.
Day Star saw my saddened posture and flew over to me. "Hey now. I'm sure you did everything you could have." she said reassuringly, but I just turned away and began to fly back to the castle.
'Yeah, I tried, but I still failed.' I thought to myself dejectedly.
"I SAID NO!!!"
I was snapped out of my emotional state when I heard the shout coming from the streets below.
"Miss Rarity, please. I was wrong to treat you as I did that night of the Gala, I see that now. But if you would only give me but one chance, I could prove that I have changed."
I looked down below and saw a crowd surrounding two ponies, both of which were unicorns. The mare had a white coat and a brilliant indigo mane that was well styled. The stallion also had a white coat, but his mane and tail were of light amber in colour. He also seemed to be wearing the collar of a suit.
"What do you say my love, will you give a stallion another chance?" asked the stallion as he took one of the mares forehooves and gave it a peck.
"For the one millionth time! NO!!! You sir, had your chance, but you showed me your true colours that night and I shall never forgive you for what you did!" the mare yelled in the stallions face as she ripped her hoof from his grasp before turning around and beginning to walk away.
"Miss Rarity, No! I have spent many nights thinking about how I could win you back, and I am not about to just let you go." he said as he ran in front of the mare and tried to block her.
Next thing I know, I saw the stallion mash his lips upon the mares desperately as he held her close. I could see the mare was wide eyed and trying to get free, but not doing so well.
I folded my wings back up against my sides and dropped out of the sky, but just before I hit the ground, I flared my Ki enough to make the landing painless.
I slammed into the ground hard, cracking the stone path beneath me just a few metres away from the arguing couple.
"Hey, the mare doesn't want to be near you. So perhaps you should just leave her alone." I warned in a calm tone of voice.
The stallion ripped his lips off the mares and looked to me with and angry glare. His glare changed into a look of unamusement as he let the mare go and turned to face me properly.
"I'm sorry good sir, but did you just say something to me? Are you even aware of who I am?" he asked.
"Uh, no... Am I supposed to?" I countered. The stallion look offended for a second before he placed a hoof over his heart.
"I sir, am Prince Blueblood. The nephew of Princess Celestia." he said proudly as I just raised an eyebrow. The way he spoke was beginning to annoy me already.
'Oh great, if he is the nephew of Celestia, that means that he is... UGH, my cousin.' I groaned in my head.
"So if you would please leave, I would much appreciate it." he said.
"Yeah, but what about her?" I asked as I gestured to the mare in question who Blueblood was forcing himself upon.
"That is none of your business." Blueblood said in offended tone again.
"But are you even aware of where you are? You are having an argument in the middle of a crowded street in broad daylight, that makes it everyon... ponies business." I said in a 'Duh' sort of tone.
"Sir, who are you to question me?" he asked with anger beginning to seep into his tone.
"Well, now that you ask, My name is Solaris, son of..." I began, but was cut off when Day Star quickly flew down and jammed my mouth shut with her hooves.
"He's just a trainer for the royal guard, he's nopony in particular." she said in a hurried sort of tone.
I wiggled my muzzle from her grip and was about to protest, but she looked to me and gave me a stare that said 'I will explain later'.
"Uh... yeah... I train in special combat." I lied.
"Special? What kind of special?" Blueblood asked.
"Special as in so painful and so cruel that only a few could survive it. But the results are astonishing in ways you could not even imagine. Day Star here is my first and only trainee because I know that only she can survive it."
I was making it up as I went along. Anyone who had the determination and commitment could do it, but he didn't need to know that. However, I kind of wished that I had picked a better story. The moment I said it, Day Star's face lit up in excitement.
"So, you work for the royal guard. Well in that case, could you please escort myself and my friend here back to the castle." Blueblood said gesturing to the mare.
"Um no. See, I'm on my day off, so I'm going to be going now. But before I leave, I have one final thing I must do." I said as I walked past Blueblood and up to the mare. "Ma'am, will you be ok with him?"
"Absolutely not. I will be returning to my friends now... alone!" she snapped as she glared at Blueblood. "But thank you for your concern. If I could ask for one thing good sir, could you please tell that ruffian behind you to leave me alone?" she asked and I smiled.
"I have a better idea Ma'am. If you could please, place your hoof on my shoulder." I said, she looked hesitant, but did so before I looked over to my companion. "You as well Day Star."
Day Star jumped at the mention of her name before trotting up and copying the other mare. When I felt both hooves on my shoulders, I brought a forehoof up to my head and concentrated my Ki. Within the next second, the three of us vanished from the street and appeared in front of Princess Celestia, A.K.A. Into the throne room.
Celestia actually jumped at my sudden appearance, but as I looked back to the mare and Day Star, they both wore expressions of confusion.
"There you go ma'am, I have brought you to the castle like you wanted." I said to the mare as I gave a bow.
"Oh, hello miss Rarity. How are you today?" Celestia asked the mare.
"Your highness!?! I-I, uh... I'm fine. I just mentioned to this nice stallion that I was heading to the castle and he teleported us here." she explained before turning to me. "Thank you so much my friend. You have save me a journey."
"Think nothing of it ma'am." I said with a smile.
"If I may be excused now, I should go find my friends." Rarity excused.
"Yes, Twilight is in the library if you want her, and I am sure that miss Rainbow Dash is out with the Wonderbolt's for this evening. As for the rest of your friends, I am unaware of their locations." Celestia said.
"Thank you your highness." Rarity said before giving a bow then leaving the throne room.After Rarity left the room I turned to Celestia and saw that she was smiling to me.
"So my son, do you wish to explain what you were doing with one of my students friends?" she asked in a coy tone, but her attempt at embarrassing me failed.
"Oh, quite simply mother dearest, she was being harassed by your apparent nephew. So one such as I thought that it might be nice for the mare to have a saviour from that ruffian." I explained in an upper class voice before dropping my sarcasm like a rock for just within the atmosphere. "Seriously though, the idiot was literary forcing himself on her in public."
Celestia's smile dropped into a frown. "I am sorry Solaris. Blueblood is a bit... needy."
"Needy? Seriously he seemed offended at everything I did. Speaking of which, why did Day Star force my mouth shut right before I mentioned that I was your son? I thought you wanted me to be, or was that just a lie and you intend to keep me to yourself?" I demanded.
"No no no, I told the truth. You are my son. But I have not mentioned you to anypony yet for your safety. Only the ponies within the grounds of this castle know of your existence because I was planing on revealing you on the night of the Gala." Celestia explained.
"Ok, but what do you mean safety?" I asked.
"Some, like my nephew, will most likely not take to your return as a good thing." she said with a hint of guilt in her voice. I understood where she came from, I was basically a nobody who had gained royalty without any popularity.
"Ok, then how about this, how is that stuck up knob-end your nephew?" I asked.
"He's not really my nephew directly, not like from the next generation over or anything. You see, he is the great great many times removed decedent somewhere on my mothers side."
I just rolled my eyes. Of course a being like him would do anything they could to gain fame.
"So, Solaris... When can we start training?"
I let out a sigh as I heard that. Day Star had taken what I said seriously and was wanting to get started.
"Star, look. I lied to that guy. So..." I trailed off as she basically came right up in front of me, her nose touching mine with impossibly wide eyes and a wide smile. "Ugh, fine. But if you start to get power greedy, I will stop you." I warned.
"Oh Thank you thank you thank you!" Star cheered before wrapping me in a super tight bare-hug and spinning me around. Before she could get too enthusiastic, I warped out of her grasp and back in front of Celestia.
"Well, that was an over reaction, but she will end up either hating me or quitting." I said, looking back to the confused Star. She looked to me and opened and closed her mouth repeatedly before finally getting some words out.
"H-How did you just do that?" she asked.
"Speed Star, I used Speed. You may not have noticed it, but I raised my power so fast and simply slipped from your hold before dropping my power again. I would have done that while the guards were holding me that night, but you were somehow able to keep my power down." I explained before turning to Celestia. "Just what exactly did they all do anyway?"
"Myself, my prised student and Captain Shining Armour devised a spell that we based off a particular spell that is used to keep magic levels suppressed and we altered it to Ki levels instead." Celestia explained.
'Hmm, but if the pony part of my brain knows anything at all about magic, it would be that a spell like that would require a direct line of sight and at least a second of charging to kick into effect.' I thought to myself.
I was already pondering a way around the spell. The saiyan part of my brain knew that I would be a most effective fighter with less weaknesses.
'Ha ha! I got it. If I manage to increase my speed to the point where they can't keep sight of me, I will have my loophole around it.' I thought, a smile coming to my face.
"Oh well. Anyway, I think I should give Star here a trial practice session before she chooses to train under me." I said, but Celestia frowned.
"Ok Solaris, but make sure you don't kill her or anything. I know what kind of things power like that can do." she said.
"Wait a sec. Before I go, I have to know. How do you even know about Ki? Where did you learn about it?" I asked.
"I learnt a few things from your father, one of which was how to sense Ki. I remember back in the day, he taught me to become so powerful, I actually became scared of myself. So I let that power fade away" she said.
"Just how strong did you get?" I heard Star ask as she came up beside me.
"I know I became very powerful, but Solaris's father had a little device that sat over his left eye that measured power levels." I blinked in surprise as I heard Celestia say that.
'Wait, that sounds like a scouter. Just who the hell was he and how did he get a scouter!?!' I shouted in my head.
"Ok, one more question. Who was my father?" I asked but Celestia smiled weakly.
"We can talk about that later tonight, I promise." she said. I felt as if I had just struck a nerve on her. Her expression seemed to turn dark at the memory of my father.
I felt something as I looked at her, something deep within my heart. I let my curious side take over and felt myself begin to walk over to Celestia. I had to admit, I was surprised when I walked right up to her and ended up sticking my nose into her neck affectionately. I had no idea why I felt like I should, but it just felt right.
Celestia smiled and wrapped her forelegs around me and drew me into a hug, but this time I didn't resist against her or even just let her do it. I actually wrapped my hooves around her and returned the gesture.
"Its going to be ok mom. Everything will be fine." I said before my eyes widened in confusion. 'Where the hell did that come from!?!' I shouted in my head.
"Hmm, you are slipping into your old self my son. Our connection is trying to open itself again." Celestia said.
"Does that mean the pain I felt from the first time will soon come back?" I asked in a voice that sounded too childish to be my own. I sounded like myself, but I also sounded like a worried little child.
"I'm sorry, but yes."
"B-but I don't want to feel any pain mommy. Please, don't let me hurt." I begged as I felt tears come to my eyes.
"Solaris, the only way I will be able to stop the pain from coming is if I open our connection. Are you sure that you are ready?" Mommy asked. I looked up to her and nodded rapidly, a smile adorning my face as I did.
Celestia smiled warmly before lighting her horn, a golden magical stream slowly making its way over to my horn. I felt my horn tingle for a second before a warm feeling spread through my body. But that was until I felt a jolt of pain like the first time she tried to open the connection.
I flinched, but mommy just held me tighter and assured me that it was ok, that I would be fine if I just relaxed, so I did everything I could to relax.
'Thats it my little sunshine. Mommy will make everything ok.' mommy said, only it didn't come from her mouth. I heard it in my head. I couldn't help but smile to myself as my eyes began to feel heavy. I was falling asleep, but I felt safe in mommy's hold.
I closed my eyes and let out a sigh as one las thought came to my mind before I drifted off to sleep.
'I love my mommy.'
~~~~~

(Perspective: Day Star)

I watched in awe at the sight in front of me. Solaris for some strange reason just started to talk like a little foal who was afraid of the dark, but seemed happy when the Princess did that thing between their horns.

'That must have been Celestia opening the connection.' I thought to myself as I watched Solaris close his eyes. I soon heard soft snores coming from him and the Princess's horn began to loose its glow and the golden stream between the two also faded.

"There you go my son, the connection is open." Celestia said as she stroked a hoof over his cheek lovingly. "I am sorry Lieutenant Day Star, but if you wish for my son to train you, you will have to wait until tomorrow." she said

"Oh, ok. But will he still be... himself?" I asked nervously.

"Yes, he will still be that stallion you know. He still has all of his memories, its just the older ones he doesn't remember will come back over time. But I must ask, why does it matter to you?" she asked. I flinched at her question before I felt heat rise to my cheeks.

"I-I, uh... I was just curious." I lied.

The Princess didn't need to know the truth about how I felt about him. I felt that if I told her, she would forbid me to see him again or something, so I just kept it to myself. However, a smile formed on Celestia's face, the kind of knowing smile she always gave to her subjects when she understood.

"Well miss Day Star, you better be ready. If you intend to learn how to use Ki, you have to be really committed. Even I almost quit my training when I was learning it. It is really demanding." she warned. I felt my ears and wings droop when she said that.

'Oh sweet Faust! Even the great and powerful Celestia could hardly stand it!?! What have I gotten myself into?' I though worriedly.

"But do not worry Day Star. If you do complete the training, I will need to talk to you about something. But anyway, I am going to take my son to bed now, so we shal have to speak later." Celestia said.

I nodded and bowed to the princess before making my way out of the throne room. I needed to think to myself about what I was getting into.

Chapter 7

"Solaris?"

"Nooo, Go awayyyy"

"Hehe, Come Solaris. Its time to get up. Princess Celestia says for you to come to breakfast."

I could feel my body being lightly shaken, but I just ignored it and tried to go back to sleep. It wasn't working however. Whoever was shaking me just began to shake me more and more until I got sick of it.

"Alright! Fine, I'll get up."

My eyes slowly fluttered open and I was immediately blinded by the light coming through my window, causing me to groan and clench my eyes shut again. I had no idea why, but I felt hung over, but somehow also really good at the same time.

'Ugh, what happened yesterday?' I wondered. I didn't have to wonder for very long however.

"Its ok Solaris. You will soon get used to our connection again and your headache will vanish in time."

My eyes shot open again as I quickly sat up and looked around. But other than myself, there was only a maid in my room.

"C-Celestia?"

I knew it was her voice I heard, but she was nowhere to be seen.

"Oh calm down Solaris. I am communicating to you through our connection." she said.

'So you can now read my mind?' I asked.

"Only when you want me to. We will need to spend some time together so I can teach you how to control our connection again. I will block it for now so I can't hear all your thoughts, I won't be able to do my duties with your thoughts passing through my mind all the time. Now, are you coming to breakfast?"

'Yeah, I guess. I'll be there soon.'

"Ok, see you when you get here." She finished.

I rolled over and off my bed. I stood up on all fours and stretched my tight muscles in my back, legs and wings, hearing a satisfying pop come from each joint. The maid however didn't seem to like the sound because she flinched at each pop.

I let out a yawn and stood back up properly before I lazily made for the door to my room. I was walking with out of sync steps because I was still tired.

"Wait, Prince Solaris!"

I stopped and looked back to the maid. She looked to me and gestured to the bed side table and sitting upon it was the crown I was supposed to wear.

"Um, no thanks. I don't wear crowns." I said before continuing out of my room.

I walked around the castle for about 15 minutes, navigating the corridors and winding pathways. I had easily gotten lost, but I honestly didn't care, I was to tired to care. If I did care, I would just go to the closest window and fly around for a bit until I found the right room.

I looked out a window, but shrugged. I was enjoying walking around by myself.

"Sir?"

'Oh of course.' I thought as I turned to the voice. Behind me was one royal guard, his white coat, blue mane and gold armour making his occupation obvious.

"Hey, what's up?" I asked. The guard trotted up to me and saluted when he got close. I frowned and used my magic to lower his hoof for him, confusing him in the process.

"Sir, why are you here? Shouldn't you be maing your way to the dining hall?" he asked.

"Well, yeah. But I kind of got lost and ended up enjoying myself walking around." I said.

"If you would like sir, I can take you there?" he offered.

"Yeah, sure. Why not?" And with that, we began out journey to to were I was supposed to go.

We soon arrived and I walked into the dining hall, finding Celestia, Luna, the guard I met outside of that old castle and some pink Alicorn. They all looked to me, but I just ignored them and found a seat across from the guard and slumped into my chair.

"How nice of you to finally join us Solaris." Celestia said with a giggle.

"Yeah yeah, I got lost." I said with a huff. All the ponies shared a laugh with the exception of myself.

"So anyway, Cadence, how goes the Crystal Empire?" Celestia asked.

"Its going well auntie." I looked tot he pink Alicorn when she said that. "We are currently trying to bring the empire to more current times. The ponies there still think that leaching is the best source of medical." Cadence said.

"Leaching? is that it?" I mumbled to myself quietly.

"Do you have something to say Solaris?" Celestia asked. I looked to her and saw her giving me the 'raised eyebrow' look.

"Just thinking to myself." I said. Celestia lifted her eyebrow higher before slowly looking back to Cadence. But she then saw that Cadence was looking at me with a confused expression.

"Oh my, Cadence. You have yet to meet Solaris. Solaris this is Cadence." I looked over to the the pink Alicorn and nodded once. She seemed confused, but copied the gesture before picking up some of her sandwich in her magic and taking a bite. "Cadence? This might be a bit of a shock to you, but Solaris here is my son."

Cadence eyes widened in she began to choke on the bit of sandwich she had in her mouth. Shining Armour tried to help her, but she held a hoof up to him and tapped on her chest a few times with her other hoof.

"Auntie, is this 'the' son you told me that went missing 2000 years ago!?!" Cadence asked loudly while standing up.

"Yes Cadence, now please calm down." Celestia said.

"I have a question." Shining piped up. "Why did you leave?" he asked.

"I don't know. I still don't even remember being a pony. You said it yourself Shining, that something must have happened to me to make me forget." I said.

"Ok, I have another question then. Why were some of my guards giggleing like foals while covered in cake yesterday?" he asked.

Both Luna and myself looked to each other. I tensed myself in an attempt to not laugh and I could see that she was doing the same. She even put her hooves over her mouth and tried holding her breath, but she lost it.

Luna fell out of her chair and began to giggle like a school girl, confusing the hell out of Shining Armour as she did. I chuckled to myself a bit, but Luna was in hysterics.

"Uh, did I miss something?" Shining asked.

"Actually yes. You should have been there yesterday and maybe you could have had some fun too." I said, confusing him even more.

"Ok, I will explain. Yesterday, my son found it fit the rearrange everything in the kitchen to make a fortress before he began to throw cakes at the guards who tried to stop him." Celestia began.

"Yeah, it was great. They were absolutely terrified of being hit." I said with a laugh.

"So then Luna here came along and Solaris managed to get a cheap hit on her while she was not paying attention. And that was when the war began. Luna divided the present guards into two teams and summoned a heap of cakes for her team. Both sides began to throw cakes at each other, but soon ran out of ammunition. Solaris ended up winning the war but levitating what was left of the icing and made a tidal wave with it and drenched his opponents and claimed victory." Celestia explained.

Shining looked to me and groaned. "Sir, do you know hard it is for me to train these guards to be serious enough to do their jobs? It was only by their training and level headedness that they were able to subdue you when you kept running. Without that, they act like a bunch of foals." Shining said.

I hadn't noticed, but in the time it took for Shining to finish scolding me, Cadence had gotten up, made her way around the table to me and sat down beside me, staring at me like she was trying to figure out a puzzle box or something. I only noticed her when she decided to go ahead and put her off on my shoulder.

I turned to look at her and a large grin had grown over her face.

I watched as the pink Alicorn stretched out her forelegs and began to lean towards me. Seeing the incoming hug, I countered it by lifting my own hoof to my forehead and disappearing and reappearing behind her.

Cadence's eyes widened in shock and she managed to catch herself before she fell over. Shining however just looked to me with a shocked expression while Cadence tried to look around for me.

"How the hay did you do that!?!" Shining demanded.

"Well Shining," I began before doing it again, but this time I appeared next to him and put a foreleg over his shoulder. "that is a little thing called the Instant Transmission technique. A little trick that I learnt from a friend that allows me to appear anywhere I want." I said as I pretended to shine my hoof on my chest.

"Really? Then why did you not use that while my guards were trying to subdue you?" he asked.

"Two reasons. I felt really weak at the time, and your guards were preventing me from using what power I had left. But now that I am feeling a little better. I could guarantee that you probably wouldn't win a second time." I said. I watched as his eyes widened in realization of a false truth, so I continued. "Don't worry, I'm not going to run."

Shining let out a sigh and relaxed a little.

"So Solaris, what are you going to do today?" Celestia asked.

"I don't know. Any ideas?" I asked.

"Well I am sure that Miss Day Star would like you to keep your word." she offered.

'Oh damn, I forgot about that. Hm, maybe a sparing partner would be helpful anyway.' I thought to myself. I stood up and began to make for the door. "Well, if I'm going to do that, we should probably get an early start. Do you know where I can find Day Star?" I asked.

"Just head to the training grounds outside. I will have a guard collect her for you." Celestia said. I nodded and walked out of the dining hall, but a thought soon dawned on me.

I ran back inside, grabbed my plate of what looked like flowers and hay and flew out again.

A few minutes later, I had found myself outside and in what looked like a training area. It wasn't hard to find. All I had to do was fly around.

Anyway, so once I got there, I looked at my plate.I had to admit, the hay and flowers did look pretty appetizing. I knew in my saiyan body, I wouln't have given it a second glance, but I couldn't help myself.

I dropped my face onto the plate and consumed what was on it in less than 4 seconds.Once done, I put the plate down and let out a sigh. I wasn't full, but it did taste good.

I opened my wings and flew up into the air. I was alone out in the guard training area, so I decided to see what I could do.

I closed my eyes and let my mind search my body, feeling out every muscle, ligament and joint. I could feel my heart beating calmly in my chest and the blood surge through my veins with each beat.

I snapped my eyes open and threw a volley of punches forward before spinning around kicking with my right hind leg behind me.

I was surprised when I realized that I had done that in less than a second, meaning my power was coming back to me as my body recovered. If I had to take a guess, If I had to guess, I would say that my power level was at least over 1000 again, but I had no real way to tell for sure.

I thrust both of my forehooves forward before bringing them both back by my side.

"Kaaa... Meee... Haa... Meeeee... ... ...HAAAAAAAAAAA!!!" I shouted as I threw both of my forehooves forward again, sending a bright blue beam forward out over the horizon. The beam continued straight until it passed out of the planets atmosphere and into the abyss of space.

I stayed in the same position for a few moments, letting myself recover a little bit from pulling the Kamehamea wave before relaxing my forehooves back down to my sides as I lowered myself back to the ground. I landed and closed my eyes as I let out a sigh through my nose.

'So my body is capable of everything my saiyan body could do... besides turn super saiyan. Only saiyans can do that.' I thought to myself, a small smile coming across my face.

"SIR, GET DOWN!!!"

I started to turn around, but was too late as I felt myself get tackled to the ground by multiple guards before they all covered me with their bodies.

"Agh, what the hell!?!" I shouted.

"It's ok sir, where here to protect you." one of the guards said in a worried tone.

"Protect me? Protect me from what?" I asked.

"There was a large unknown power outburst sir. Until we know that you are safe, you need to stay safe." he said, but I only began to laugh.

"Guy's, you don't need to worry." I said as I stood up out of the group of guards. They tried to keep me down, but I easily overpowered them like nothing.

"Sir, get down. We don't know if that power will come back!" a guard demanded.

"Oh, it will come back, but only if I want it to." I said, causing all the guards to freeze in confusion.

"Sir, explain yourself!"

I shrugged my shoulders before taking a wide stance and tensing my every muscle.

"AAAAAHHHHH!!!" I shouted as a white aura exploded around me, causing the ground to shake.

Once my aura was stable and I was sure I wouldn't loose control of my power, I relaxed a little, but my aura kept flaring around my body. One thing that I noticed was, my aura was different. It was till white, but it seemed to be more calm that I used to have. The last time my aura was the weak was when I had begun my journey to save the earth.

The guards were blown back from my position a bit and they all looked to me with shocked expressions. I just smirked at them.

"So, you like what you see?" I asked rhetorically. One guard stood up and made his way over to me. He lit up his horn and tried to do something, but whatever it was, it failed.

"Great and powerful mother of Celestia! What is this?" he asked.

Were you there when I was captured outside of the old castle?" I asked to which he nodded. "This is the power that Shining had all the unicorns focus on overpowering and suppressing." I said before relaxing and letting my aura fade away and letting out a sigh.

"So, it was you who did it before?" he asked. I nodded once. "And you are in no real danger?"

"Nope."

"Well... ok then. Do you need anything sir?" he asked.

"Uh, no thanks." I said. The guard gave a salute, to which I rolled my eyes at, before he turned and walked away with the other guards.

I watched them walk away for a moment, until I heard movement behind me.

I spun around and saw Day Star, standing there with her jaw on the ground. I let out a chuckle as I realized that she must have seen me powered up.

"H-how?" she muttered.

"Don't worry. If you keep with the training, you will find out soon enough." I said.

"R-really?" she stuttered.

"Yep. But that reminds me. Just forget about what you saw and look me in the eye." I said. She hesitated for a moment, but did so. "Now listen carefully. This training, I have to war you about it. I will hurt a lot, and will put a lot of strain on both your mind and body. I won't be going easy on you, so you have to be sure that you wont get upset when you get hurt. Do you honestly thin you can handle it?" I asked.

Day Star stared into my eyes for a moment before a determined grin formed on her face.

"Bring. It. On." she said.

"Alright then. First, I want you to try and hit me." I said, causing her to gasp and hold her hooves over her mouth. "Look, while we train, we are not friends or even allies. We are opponents. So just forget about the fact that I am Celestia's son and just try and hit me." I said.

Day Star shivered quickly before she tried to fly at me with a fist out in my direction. But to her dismay, I grabbed her hoof and flipped her onto her back faster than she could blink.

"Come on. Get up and try again." I said as I walked to where she was standing just before. I turned and faced Star and saw that she was still getting up.

"Hey Star!" I shouted before leaping at her and pulling my right forehoof back, ready for a strike.

Star's eyes widened in shock at my sudden attack and she jumped to the side, barely avoiding my hoof as it slammed down into the ground, cracking the hard dirt below. If I had hit her, she would have been in a lot of pain.

"What the hay!?!" she shouted at me.

"What? This is a fight. You have to work on your defence as well as offence." I said before flying at her and shoulder barging her in the chest, sending her sprawling back before falling on the ground.

Star clutched her chest and coughed from being winded, confusing me.

'Oops, maybe I over did it?' I thought to myself. I walked over to Star and helped her up, but while doing so, she swung a hoof at my head, but I avoided it and jumped back.

"So, trying to feign weakness?" I asked with a smirk.

"Well it worked... sort of." she said, still rubbing her chest a bit.

"Well, I wont fall for that again. Now, lets get back to it." I said.

Star stood wide before charging at me as fast as she could, but I again flipped her on her back before delivering a blow to her stomach, causing her to shout out in pain.

I jumped away and stood ready again. Star on the other hand/hoof, slowly pushed herself up.

"Damn, you were right. this does hurt." she said through a hiss.

"And do you know whats funny? I'm still not even trying." I said, causing her to groan. "But don't worry, once you get better, you will actually learn to avoid attacks instead of trying to take them."

"You think I haven't been trying!?!" she shouted as she turned and flew at me again, but this time, I let her try to swing at me multiple times, dodging each strike. She swun about four times before I decided to stop her by bringing my forehoof into her stomach before hitting her down to the ground.

Star didn't get up this time. She just lay there, breathing heavily and sobbing. I carefully rolled her over and picked her up in my forelegs.

"Hey now, you're doing fine. If we were even, I recon you could beat me into the ground." I said, trying to make her feel better.

"No, put me down. If we're opponents, don't help me." she said, rolling out of my hold and onto her her own hooves.

"So, you're not going to quit?" I asked.

"No, I will not quit. With Celestia as my witness, I will be as good as you some day." she said with a determined sparkle in her eye.

"Alright then. Lets get back to it." I said.

So, we began to train in the ways of martial arts.

Chapter 8

(Perspective: Day Star)

"*Pant* H-How? How *Pant* am I supposed to *Pant* hit you when I can't *Pant* can't even see you?" I struggled to say through laboured breaths. I shakily pushed myself back to my hooves again and tried stand properly, but I almost fell over again.

My body was burning from the multitude of bruises that I had received over the prior 4 hours and fatigue was definitely beginning to overwhelm me. But when I looked up to see Solaris just standing there, having less movement in his body than a statue, I could not help but try and match him.

The whole 4 hours had consisted of me trying to land a single hit on the Alicorn stallion, but he moved so fast that it seemed as if he kept vanishing from sight. I had no idea how he moved so fast, but he claimed that if I keep practicing, I would be able to do it as well. There was a moment where I had managed to corner him and I threw punches and kicks at him as fast as I could, but to my dismay, he managed to block each of my punches and kicks with one hoof.

ONE HOOF!!!

Regardless of the fact that I found that impossible, he must have eventually gotten bored because he simply punched me in the shoulder which sent me flying back before crashing into the ground.

"Day star, you can't see me because you are trying to look for me with your eyes. You have to learn how to use all of your senses and not just your eyes." Solaris said.

"What does that even mean!?!" I demanded.

"Try this then. Close your eyes." he told me, and I gave him the 'Are you serious' look. "I'm not going to attack you. I just want to prove a ponit." he continued. Reluctantly, I slowly closed my eyes and waited. "Good, now I am going to raise my power level a bit. Just make sure to keep your eyes closed."

I waited for a few moments, confused as to why I was told to just stand there with my eyes closed, but I became even more confused when I started to hear a strange whooshing noise. I was tempted to open an eyes, just to have a look, but I resisted and just did what I was told.

Suddenly, I felt something. It was like a huge wall of air rushing at me at an alarming rate. Out of instinct, I threw my hooves over my head and tensed before I felt a large force slam into my forelegs, but I managed to block it.

My eyes snapped open in fear of what caused the giant wall of air, but as I opened my eyes, I was met with the sight of a smirking Solaris right in front of me. I looked down to my forehooves and what I saw I could barely comprehend.

Solaris's hoof was touching mine.

"See Star, you can block, even without knowing where I am." he said. I backed away in shock, still looking at my hooves.

'Did, I really just block him?' I wondered. "How did I just do that?" I asked quietly.

"Simple, you felt my power rush at you and you tried to protect yourself, and you did." Solaris said. I looked up to him with a worried expression. "H-Hey, you did well. You're learning. Look, lets stop for today."

"Yeah, alright." I agreed. I was feeling very tired.

I took a step, but my legs buckled underneath me and I collapsed from exhaustion. But before I could hit the ground, I was stopped. I rolled my eyesight upwards and saw that Solaris had caught me. My mind probably would have run some rather naughty scenes through my head, but I was so tired that I actually felt my eyes beginning to roll back.

"Don't mind me Solaris. I'm just going to take a nap. I'm more tired than I thought." I said slowly before letting out a yawn and closing my eyes. It didn't take long until I fell asleep in Solaris's hold.

~~~~~
(Perspective: Solaris)
I looked to the now sleeping mare that I held in my forehooves. She literally just fell asleep, but she was already snoring like a freight train. I rolled my eyes before opening my wings before lifting off the ground and began to fly towards the castle.
I flew right up to the main entrance of the castle, the guards that stood outside looked mortified when they say Day Star's condition. Seeing their concern for one of their own, I decided to console them.
"Don't worry guys, she'll be alright. She just needs some rest." I said. They nodded slowly, still not looking away from her. I walked passed them and went straight to my room. I had no idea where I should have taken Day Star, so I just decided to let her rest in my room. When I got to my room, I pushed the door open and walked inside before making for my bed.
I lit up my horn to pull back the covers before gently placing her on the bed and tucking her in. Once she was in, I found a small wash cloth and used it to clean up the blood that was around her mouth. Once I knew that she would be ok, I turned and left my room again, closing the door behind myself.
'So, what now?' I asked myself. 'Hm, maybe I could just go see what Celestia is doing?'
I place a forehoof up to my head and used Instant Transmission, not to teleport, but instead to see what Celestia was doing. I sensed her inside the throne room, but I also sensed what felt like at least 30 other's.
'Hm, I wonder what there talking about?' I wondered. I moved my sense to just outside of the throne room entrance and vanished in a flash. When my eyesight returned a second later, I found myself standing outside of the throne room, two guards looking very startled by my sudden appearance.
"Hey guys, What is going on in there?" I asked, gesturing behind then and two the large double doors.
"Her majesty is in the middle of a court session sir." one of the two guards said. "As one of royalty, you do have permission to enter, but I would advise against it sir."
"Why, just what is the court session about?" I asked.
"Rumour spreads fast in this city. Some of the nobles are demanding answers on what that big blue light beam was and what cause the plant to quake no to long after." said the other guard. I could not help but smile at that.
"Alright, thanks for that. But I want to know what they are saying." I said. I put my hoof back up to my forehead and teleported again, but this time high in the air above the court room.
On instinct, I went to open my wings to keep myself afloat in the air, but I managed to stop myself and just used a small amount of Ki to float up in the air instead because using Ki to float is silent. If I used my wings, all the nobles below would be able to hear my wings flapping.
I looked around down below and spotted the crowd of ponies. Celestia was sitting in her throne that sat up upon a flight of stairs, probably so she could see all of her subjects.
"My princess, we mean no disrespect, but this... abomination... you are housing is dangerous. He must be either sent away or destroyed for the safety of your subjects. Surely you see this." said one of the ponies as he stepped forward.
"That is not an option!!! The so called 'abomination' happens to be my son, and I will NOT simply cast him away as if he is not!!!" Celestia roared angrily. I actually flinched at how harsh she sounded.
Celestia got up off her throne and walked passed all of the ponies with her nose up and her eyes closed, ignoring all for their terrified looks as she did. She walked out of the throne room and I decided to follow suit.
But the moment I flew out and landed back out to where I was just talking to the two guards, my eyes widened in confusion.
The calls, the displays and even Celestia herself looked... different.
'What the..., where am I? I don't recognize this place.' I thought to myself confused. It definitely did not look like the castle I was in before. I noticed that Celestia was still moving away, so I shook off my confusion and galloped to catch up.
"Hey Celestia, are you ok?" I asked.
...
...
...
I frowned as I did not get a response. Celestia completely ignored me and continued walking away. I actually felt a little hurt when she did that.
"Hey, come on now." I said as I trotted past her. I stopped in front of her and held out a hoof, but what happened next actually made my heart stop in shock.
Celestia phazed through me, like I was some kind of ghost.
My breath caught as she did that. I turned slowly and saw that Celestia remained completely unaffected. I opened my wings and flew above her. I then tried to touch her again, but as I did, my hoof seemed to phaze through her again.
"WHAT THE HELL!!!" I shouted. I formed a Ki blast at the end of my horn before shooting it at a wall, but as I expected, the blast passed through it and the wall remained intact.
I was about to voice my disapproval of the situation, but was stopped when I heard a door squeaked as it was opened. I spun around and saw Celestia entering through a doorway.
I quickly caught up, but the moment I entered the doorway, my jaw dropped.
On the other side of the room was... Me.
The other me was sitting at a desk with his back turned to me. He had the cobalt blue coat and the white mane, just like I do, but there was something different about him. He seemed smaller than I was.
"Solaris, are you alright?" I heard Celestia ask before she phazed though me and walked up to the younger me.
The younger me turned around and... Oh no.
His face. He had a big bruise on the side of his jaw and had a bandage wrapped around his head.
I heard the door close behind me, and on instinct, I turned to see what caused it, but the moment I turned, I saw Celestia.
Confused, I turned again, but found myself sitting at a desk. It was then that I felt a pain in my head and on my jaw. I tried to touch my head with my forehoof, but failed. I tried again, but was not able to lift my forehoof from its position.
For some reason, I was completely unable to move.
I felt something gently turn the desk chair I was on be turned around and found myself with Celestia sitting in front of me, looking at my face with a saddened expression.
"My head hurts mommy."
I would have gasped when I felt myself speak without permission, but even doing that was not possible.
"I know Solaris, I know. But you will begin to feel better soon. Mommy promises." Celestia said as she picked my up gently and held me close to her chest. Without any effort what so ever, I felt my small hooves wrap around Celestia's neck as far as they could.
'Wait, I get it. I must be having a memory come back to me.' I thought to myself, remembering that Celestia said that this would happen.
"But mommy, the pain hurts. I just want it to go away." I heard myself say in the voice of a child. But I mentally frowned as I/me did. I could feel the pain, but the pain paled in comparison to some of the pains I have felt before.
"Here, let me have a look." Celestia said before lighting up her horn as I felt the bandage on my head begin to unwind it. It soon fell free and Celestia levitated it onto the desk. Celestia then used her forehoof to gently move my mane as she looked at what I could only presume would be a cut or gash of some sort by how open it felt.
"It healing fine Solaris. The salve is doing its job and this wound will be gone within a few hours." Celestia said before gently moving my head up so that she could look at the bruise on my cheek. What happened next confused me.
Celestia gave my cheek a long and gentle lick, and I felt it as much as I could feel anything else.
She did this a few times and I kept trying to get her to stop. But the younger me was enjoying it and just took it, causing me to not be able to do anything at all.
'Gah, stop licking me!' I shouted in my head, but the Celestia that was tending to her little colt could not hear me. I tried to resist with all my willpower, but it was futile, so I just gave up and let her lick my cheek.
The licking continued for a few minutes, but I noticed that my body seemed to be getting sleepy. I felt fine, but my body kept yawning and my eyes were drooping.
"Come Solaris, lets get you to bed. You've had a big day." Celestia said before carrying my sleepy body over to the bed and tucking me in. She gave me one more kiss on my forehead beside my horn before turning to leave.
"Goodnight mommy. I love you."
"I love you to my little sunshine."
I felt my eyes close before the abyss of sleep overtook me.
...
...
...
"Now what?" My eyes widened as I felt I had movement back in my body. I looked down to my body and saw something that made me freak out a bit.
I was back in my saiyan body.
I flexed my fingers a few times before testing the rest of m body. It worked as I remembered it, but it felt wrong still, like I didn't belong in it.
"So, do you see now? Mommy does care for us."
I snapped my head around and spotted the younger pony that was apparently me, standing behind me, smiling.
"Who are you, what is this place?" I asked.
"I'm you Solaris. Together, we make one being." the young pony me said.
"Bu... Wha... How?" I stuttered.
"I know, this is confusing for me too. But I think that you and I are actually bonding." Solaris said in his high pitched voice.
"But I don't understand." I stated.
"Solaris, you and I are one being, but we are one who has been parted into two. But with mommies guidance, we can become whole again. Wouldn't that be great?" he asked in a really happy voice.
"I don't know kid. I don't know." I said through a sigh. I sat down on the invisible floor and hung my head.
"Whats the matter?" Solaris asked.
"Its just that, here in this world, I feel as if I shouldn't be here. I know that I keep being told that I was once you, but by becoming you, I feel like I am not only leaving everything on earth behind, but I also feel like I am replacing you." I said.
"But you are me. You're not replacing anypony."
"I know, but if I was you, what did I miss? Judging by some reactions, I would have to say that I must have been gone for a while." I said.
I felt something brush up against my side. I looked down and saw Solaris had walked over beside and was sitting next to me with his little forehoof on my knee. I put my hand on his head and mused his mane, but something caught my attention.
"I'm sorry, but I don't know how long its been either." Solaris said in a sleepy tone.
"Hey kid, are you falling asleep?" I asked.
"Hu... oh, yeah. I guess our time together is coming to an end, a short bond. We will both fall asleep and you will wake back up in the real world." Solaris said.
"But I actually don't feel all that..." I began, but I was then hit with a huge wave of tiredness, causing my eyes to droop. "Ugh, I had to open my mouth didn't I?"
I lay down and closed my eyes. It didn't take long at all until I fell asleep.
~~~~~

My eyes fluttered open again not too long after they closed, but I still found myself in a dark place, pushed up against something soft.

I lifted my head and looked around the room I was in. I noticed that outside, the sun had gone down and the moon had risen up into the sky. I tired to push myself up, but stopped when I felt something over me.

I looked back and saw that Celestia was basically spooning me. She was laying on her side and was holding my close to her chest with her hooves while draping a wing over me.

As carefully as I could, I wiggled out of her hold and climbed out of the bed which I could only presume was hers before throwing grabbing the blanket in my mouth and throwing it over her body to keep warm.

'Don't worry little Solaris, I will make sure to keep your... our mother safe." I said quietly to myself. I then turned and made my way for the door and stepped outside.

Two royal guards stood to attention outside of Celestia's room. The noticed my appearance, but quickly looked back straight ahead like they were supposed to and pretended as if they didn't.

"It's alright guys, you can chill around me." I said as I closed the door. Both guards visibly relaxed and looked back to me with a smile.

"Sir, if I may, you don't act like royalty. Why?" asked one of the two.

"Thats simple, I don't consider myself royalty. I would prefer to be in a ditch, helping any and all I could myself instead of getting others to do it for me." I explained in the most casual tone I could. "But anyway, do you guys know what happened to me?" I asked.

"We don't know sir. Princess Celestia just carried you into her room a few hours ago, but you were unconscious. May I ask how you are feeling now?"

"I'm alright. I have a little bit of a headache, but I'll be fine. Anyway, I'm just going to go for a fly, stretch my wings a little." I said.

"Sir, wait!" I stopped and turned back to the two guards. "We get off duty any minute now and we're heading to the guard bar in the barracks. Figuring by what you have been through since you first came back, we think that you could use a drink. Wanna join us?"

I thought about their offer for a moment. I wasn't one to dink alcohol, but it couldn't be that bad.

"Yeah, sure. Why not."

(Perspective: Day Star)

'Darn it! Where could he have gone!?' I thought as i continued to fly around the castle grounds like a madmare, searching for a particular stallion who has a knack for disappearing. He was supposed to be attending breakfast in exactly...

I glanced at a glock as i flew past it.

'2 Minutes!!!' I was doomed. I had 2 minutes to find this dumb colt and get him to the dining hall. Worst of all, I, nor anypony else who was looking for him had any idea where he was.The entire 3rd battalion was madly searching the palace grounds for him, but he was just… gone. I eased off my wings by switching to a trot, giving my wings a break. Celestia knew they needed it. Speaking of which…

As of late, the search for Solaris had only been executed within the grounds of the palace. Princess Celestia had said that she knew not where he was, but she at least knew that he was here… somewhere. Most of the guards were starting to become skeptical of that fact, but I still had faith in the princess.

‘Yeah right.’ I felt my ears flatten against the back of my head as I thought that. ‘I want to believe her, but how can I? We’ve turned this entire castle upside down looking for him, and not so much as a hair of him has been found. Even the unicorns scrying for his magical energy couldn’t track him.’

I stopped and sat down. I was in a rather neglected part of the castle somewhere down in the eastern wing, or at least I thought I was. The paintings, the antique suits of battle armor and all of the displays were covered in an inch thick layer of dust. In fact, it hadn't looked like anypony had come through this part of the castle in years.

Where was I? How did I managed to get lost? No, I wasn't lost... just geographically embarrassed... inside the castle I was supposed to know the layout of since I joined the guard.

I let out a sigh. "Some bucking guard I am. Can't even remember basic theory.' I thought as I lowered my head. I don't know how I managed to become a Lieutenant. It's kind of ridiculous when you think about it. I mean, I used to be good, but in times of peace, nothing really happens. There was those few times that the peace was disrupted, but those problems were always solved.

But not by the guard like it should have been.

We were trained in many fields in order to keep our country safe. We knew how to defuse a situation, we knew how to fight, we knew how to track and find ponies with ease. We used to be able to defend our country like we were supposed to.

So what happened.

The invasion of Canterlot was a big thing. And by a big thing, I really mean a big buck up. We were warned and everything. All the Captain did was put on extra guards and place a shield bubble spell around the city.

I don't mean to say anything bad about the Captain, but things could have been done far better.

If I were in charge, I would have had a unit of unicorns for the bubble shield to prevent them wearing themselves out like the Captain did. I would have had checkpoints throughout the city with the purpose of randomly stopping civilians and checking for their identification. I would have put those extra guards put on duty patrol around the palace and city, not just stand at posts like a bunch of morons.

It could have been done better, but it's not my place to question the Captain. Its what he wanted, so its what he got. But it wasn't enough.

I'd been hearing rumors amongst the guard. They've been saying that the dignitaries from other countries have actually been good enough to warn our princess of possible attacks. It was Gryphon leader who warned us about the Changeling attack, so its good to know that we at least have help from outside sources.

But when are we as a nation going to stop relying on the help of others and stand up on our own four hooves? Are we ever going to become the powerful nation we make ourselves out to be? Are we...

*Clang!*

My head instantly snapped to where I had heard the disturbance. It came from the other side of a door just a few metres away from me. It sounded like a metal pot had fallen onto the ground or something.

I got up and cautiously crept over to the door and placed my ear on it. I could hear something. It was quiet, really quiet, but still just hearable. It sounded like... quiet snoring that seemed to echo slightly. I carefully opened the door slightly and stuck my head through. What i saw made my jaw drop. Although I couldn't see his head, I could easily recognize him. His blue coat and lack of a cutie-mark was enough. Solaris, was asleep in what looked like a closet, with a large metal pan over his head.

I couldn't believe it. The guard had been searching for him for hours, but he had been here the whole time, sleeping in some closet that was in a part of the castle nopony ever went. I think I felt my eye twitching as anger started to flow through me.

But then something happened. As I looked at him, my anger seemed to vanish as quickly as it came. I knew that I shouldn't be watching him while he slept, I could probably get in trouble for doing so. But I couldn't help it. His hooves were moving around slightly, and he was mumbling something. He was dreaming.

But dreaming or not, he had somewhere to be.

I opened the door a little further and stepped into the small closet, standing over Solaris before reaching down and gently removing the pot from his head. The sudden movement must have stirred him, because he did something then that I would never forget.

The moment the pot came clear of his head, he subconsciously reached up, wrapped his hoof around my neck and pulled me down to the ground with him. I was so stunned that I didn't even realize what happened until I found myself laying on my side with a blue foreleg wrapped over my side and on my stomach. My body froze and my blood rushed to my cheeks faster than I could think.

'Oh no oh no.' I thought as I began to panic. I knew that I could be discharged from the guard for this. 'Ok Star. Calm down. Just take his hoof off you and get up.'

I slowly reached down to his hoof that rested on my stomach. My hoof brushed against his fur and I failed to suppress a shiver. I think he felt this because I felt his other hoof snaked under me and also wrap around my stomach before he pulled me closer and rested his head on the top of mine. For once... I REALLY wished I had my armor on. I-I had no idea what to do. Solaris, the son of Princess Celestia, was asleep in a closet... SPOONING ME!

'Oh gosh. I'm a dead mare.' I thought. Glimpses of possible outcomes started to pop up one by one in my mind, each one filling me with more and more dread. Panic started to flood my nerves. Fear of being hurt by Celestia herself.

With my veins being flooded with adrenaline, I forced myself out of Solaris's hold and stood up before bailing out of the closet, slamming the door closed again and standing with my back against the door. My eyes quickly scanned left and right, checking to see if anypony had seen what had just happened. I couldn't help but sigh and slide down to my rump when I found that the corridor was still just as empty as before. The whole situation had me so worried I was panting heavily, like I had just flown from canterlot to Vanhoover and back again.

'Alright you dumb colt. No more fooling around.'

----------

(A few minutes later.)

Once again, I found myself standing outside that same closet. But this time I was wearing my full set of armor, and had a look of pure determination on my face. I stormed up to the closet door and ripped it open, making a loud bang as it hit the wall. I glared down into the closet and as expected, the Prince was still there, fast asleep with no care in the world. Almost as if he intended to stay there for the rest of the day.

'Not on my watch.' I thought angrily before wrapping my hooves around one of his hind legs. I then opened my wings and flapped as hard as I could. It didn't take long for me to drag the body out into the middle of the corridor.

I threw his hoof to the ground, hoping that it would be enough to wake him, but nooo. He just continued to snore away like an idiot. I walked up and grabbed him by the shoulders and pulled him up into a sitting position. "Wake up Solaris!" I shouted as I shook him. I couldn’t help but sigh when he began to stir. His eyes fluttered open slowly and he gazed deep into my eyes, his own silver orbs making my blood freeze.

“S-Star? Wha- Agh!” I clenched his eyes shut again rolled over in pain, collapsing back down onto the floor. He curled up into a ball and held his stomach tight with his forehooves while groaning in pain. My breath caught as panic started to flood my mind.

“Solaris? Whats wrong?” I asked, placing a hoof onto his shoulder. I tried to roll him over, but her refused to budge. “Solaris, please. Tell me whats wrong?” I asked again, but with much more nervousness in my voice.

“M-My stomach. I feel like I’m about to-” Again, he didn’t finish his sentence as he opened his mouth wide and let forth a torrent of green bile as his stomach emptied its contents onto the ground in front of his face. His sudden outburst made me jump back in shock, but I quickly stepped back up beside him and rolled him into a recovery position so he wouldn't drown on his own vomit.

The smell hit me like a train. It wasn’t hard to tell that he had spent last night drinking. If I had to guess, I’d say that he emptied four kegs worth of hard cider if the amount he was puking up was anything to go by.

He continued to throw up for about 7 minutes, finishing with a few heaves and dry wretches before just falling limp and panting heavily. He needed a doctor, but I refused to leave his side. Not when he was in this state.

“Come on Solaris. We need to get you to bed.” I said, letting go of him and sliding my hooves under him to help him up. As I expected, he just groaned and lay limp, but decided to try and move. I helped him up to his hooves and pressed my side up against his, wrapping my wing around him to support him.

We began to walk, well more like trudge, our way through the castle. Solaris was dragging his hooves and his knees were shaky. Without me, he wouldn’t have even been able to stand up on his own. Each time we came to a corner, I had to nudge him to get him to turn.

“What happened to you? The guard has been looking for you all morning?” I asked. I don’t know why, maybe I was expecting to actually get a response from him, but he just kept his head hung low as we continued to walk.

We walked the rest of the trip back to Solaris’s room in silence. There were a few times we had to stop because he almost threw up again. Even worst was the amount of attention we drew each time we passed a maid or another guard. I told them to inform the Princesses and the Captain that the Prince has been found, but is incapable of attending breakfast.

As we reached his room, I opened his door and guided him in, but not towards his bed. I instead turned him in the direction of the bathroom. He didn’t try to resist against me, probably because he knew that he couldn’t. I walked him into the bathroom and helped him get into the bathtub. It was more like an in-ground pool, but it did the trick.

“Star? W-What are you doing?” he asked in a voice that was barely above a whisper. I didn’t answer and chose to instead just walk over to the faucet and turn it on. The bath began to slowly fill up and I risked a glance over at Solaris, only to see him staring at me with curiosity.

“Star?”

“I’m just trying to help you. I find that a nice quiet bath helps me with a strong hangover along with a tonne of aspirin and water. But I’ll have to get that in a moment. Just relax Solaris.” I said as I watched the bath fill up with nice hot water. When the bath was full, I turned off the faucet again and looked back to Solaris, only to see that he was still staring at me.

"What?"

"Why are you helping me?" He asked.

"I'm just trying to help out a friend. And besides, you're not the first pony with a hangover that I've had to help." I said.

"Oh yeah? Who else?" I sighed when he asked me that. It was something I really didn't want to talk about.

"Just an old friend." I answered and left it at that. "Now I'm going to be right back ok. I'm just going to get a few things to help you recover. Don't go and drown while I'm gone." I said as I began to make for the exit.

"Star wait." Solaris asked. I stopped right next to him and looked right into his eyes. "Please, don't go."he pleaded quietly.

"I need to Solaris. Somepony has to go and get you some medicine. You're not well." I said. I went to turn to leave again, but he grabbed my hoof with his own and squeezed it gently.

"Star... please."

I looked down at his hoof that was holding mine. I knew what I should have done. I should have shrugged him off and gone to get some medicine for him.

But I couldn't do it.

I sighed as I took off my helmet and placed it on the ground before laying down on the bath's edge next to him. "Alright Solaris. You win." I said as I dipped my forehooves into the water. "So, what now?"

"I dunno. But thanks. I don't want to be alone. I'm tired of being alone" He said quietly.

The room lapsed into silence for about 10 minutes. I spent that time just gazing around the room at various things that you normally would find in a bathroom. But Solaris, every time I looked at him, he was staring at his own reflection in the water.

"What's the matter?" I asked. He jumped slightly at the break of silence but he turned his head and looked at me with a tired smile.

"I've been thinking Star, about training you. Why is it that you want me to so badly?" He asked. I averted my gaze from his and looked down at my forehooves in the water.

"I just thought it would be a good life skill to have." I said. We fell into silence again, but I could feel his gaze burning a hole into the side of my head. He didn’t buy it. "Alright. But I don't want you talking to anypony else about this alright?"

"My lips are sealed." He promised. I let out a sigh before closing my eyes to collect my thoughts.

"This story goes back to when I was just a small filly..."

"Have you found him yet?" I asked nervously.

"No. He's still gone. And Omega is still looking for him." She said quietly before beginning to mumble to herself again.

"Where did he come from? I've looked over every scroll and found nothing. How can that be?" I asked.

"Because this sayian, Orion, was never supposed to exist." She said off into the distance. My eyes widened in shock. "His fight with Omega Shenron has altered the timeline. And if we don't find him soon, history will fall too far out of our control to fix."

“So then what do we do?”

"I'll just have to keep looking for him. He's out there... somewhere. It's just a matter of time."
