Crossover with the Dresden Files. Sequel to Forever!
For his first task as the new Winter Knight, Harry must travel to the land of cute little cartoon ponies to stop a plot by the Order of Blackened Denarius that threatens both Earth and Equestria.
Warning: Includes massive spoilers for the Dresden Files series up through Ghost Story.
They desire to spread all chaos. Considering the amount of bickering they're likely to get into freeing Discord would be something easy that they'd accomplish as soon as possible. Though Discord I would think isn't a fan of mass murder and slaughter, being a native of Equestria.
Wait. Spread chaos, the Denarians are Draconequus aren't they.
It's like his version of Spidey-sense, really. Spiderman uses his sense to know when there's trouble afoot, and Harry uses his to know when he could best begin making trouble. He gets snarky when he's scared, annoyed, angry, hungry, tired, determined... actually, his smartass-sense is probably never off, is it?
Soo much snarkiness. I love this fic soon much.

Also, kudos to the author for the characterization on, well, everybody. Especially Harry, though. I finished this chapter and found myself thinking "and that's why I love this character." Well done! 
Also, subtle Dragon Quest reference, perhaps?

Geez, every chapter seems to have an even more and more depressing ending. And that ending credit song...
Entertaining read all the way through. Though things do not look good for the good guys. Not sure how they are going to fight their way back from this one.
I think Harry watches too many movies. He's got a sort of screwed up perspective on what it means to be a hero IRL.
Let's put it this way: was the American Revolution the right thing to do? How about fighting the Axis in World War II?
Now riddle me this: how many people--- not just soldiers but civilians, innocent bystanders, conscientious objectors, old people and children, died in THOSE conflicts? How much was lost, how much was destroyed?
What Harry Dresden has yet to fully understand is that, even in little kids' Saturday morning cartoons, doing the right thing, the HEROIC thing, HURTS. Innocent people suffer. Precious things get lost. People even die. And the collateral damage can be horrific.
Doing the right thing is costly. That's why so few people do it. The choice between good and evil isn't a choice between horrible darkness and sunshine, puppies and rainbows. Ninety nine percent of the time it's a choice between a BAD result and a WORSE one. The hardest thing in the world to remember is that the choice for evil is always the worse of the two.
Discord says fifteen million people died because of choices Harry Dresden made. You note that what isn't said is how many people would have died if he HADN'T made those choices.
Woah, Discord really knew what buttons to push to get Harry to get to that conclusion. I'm a little suprised he knew all that stuff, but he is basically a godlike being of pure chaos, so it would make sense. Being a fan of both these series, I have to say you are doing a tremendouse (misspelled?) job keeping the Dresdenverse people in character.
Yeah, I'm going off the theory that one of the perks that comes with being a godlike being of Chaos and Disharmony is knowing how to push people's buttons. After all, he knew exactly how to hit all the ponies within minutes of meeting them. In Dresdenverse terms, Discord has Intellectus for people's psychological weak points.
“Word to the not-so-wise, Lasciel. Learn the three rules of Saturday Morning Cartoons: the good guys never die, the bad guys always lose, and there’s no problem that can’t be solved in half an hour, counting commercial breaks."
So, those are Saturday Morning Cartoon (SMC) Rules #1, #2, and #3...
I posit a SMC Rule #4: "In the event of a multi-part episode, the first three Rules may be bent on a per episode basis; however, considered as a whole, those rules will remain true."
Cue ending credits, indeed... 
Hah... very interesting. Dash was the last one freed in the show and the first one freed in this fic. Too bad, I was hoping to see Harry react to Fluttershy's "I'm just wondering if it's OK if I hold you down against your will for a little bit?"
Are you keeping the order reversed with Twilight last, or totally redoing the order?
Also we have the looming problem of whether Discord was able to corrupt Celestia or not...

1)the Cake twins. I see a hospital, not a stork.
2)Bandages. Bandages everywhere. (they have barf, pee, and loaded diapers too, but don't show them directly.)
3)HORSEAPPLES.
Counter-points:
1) That's the end result of the process, not the process itself.
2) Similar to #1, the bandages denote the existence of injuries, not the injuries themselves.
3) In comparison to straightforward four-letter cussing, "horseapples" barely registers.
When I first read this chapter, the description of Demon-Dash freaked me out considerably... 
But just now, I was speculating idly, and had a sudden thought of what Demon-Pinkie must be like... 
Well, let's just say that my pants will require some serious cleaning and leave it at that. I hope my imagination is just being overactive!
It does seem like you've set Pinkie Pie up as the most powerful pony, which makes me think that Harry will be tackling her last.
That was a very entertaining fight scene there. To think that is but the first pony Harry will have to deal with. Granted, he gets to pick up an ally every time he wins. But its still going ot be ugly especially as Dresden wears himself out over many difficult fights.
I look forward to seeing who Dresden is going to have to deal with next.
personnaly i think the one that woud give them the most trouble would be demon sparkle (twilight) becuase of the fact that she actually is smarter and will not be able to be tricked easily...
and in the physical department applejack would be the toughest...
but they already delt with the toughest in the speed department...

Really awesome story as always, I'm just wondering if you're ever planning on updating this again considering it's been somewhere within a month since the last one. Otherwise I don't mean to sound impatient or make you rush, just want to know if there actually will be an update sometime.
I loved that bit at the end with Harry. The poor guy!
And I'm already interested in seeing just where the rest of the girls are. Hmm, if Denarian!Rarity and Applejack just got sent off to a land of "rayguns and jetpacks", maybe Harry will get to see the Star Wars 'verse after all!
