Following the events of A Return to Form, Luna has been restored to her natural power and status alongside her sister. They have even managed to make up with their estranged older brother, Terra. With the newest addition to their family in the form of an artificial filly Nightmare Moon life promises to be interesting. But an offhand comment by Terra may prove that words are truly the most powerful of tools. Now Celestia has decided to revive an age old rivalry with her sister, the royal prank war! Can Equestria survive their antics? More importantly, can Celestia survive the dark duo of Luna and Nightmare Moon? Armies will be raised, shadowy plans enacted, and dignity will suffer in the sister's quest to be able to leer at the other and proclaim, "Gotcha!".

Oh good lord, I can't help but fear what's going to happen next.
Part of me wonders what's going to happen once the timeline reaches the start of Season 2, and Discord's release...especially if Tia and Luna's prank war is still going on, and they both end up dragging Discord up to Cadance to find out which of them had the audacity to recruit the Spirit of Chaos and Disharmony.
Discord: I have no idea what's going on, but that won't stop me from having fun with this. *signs up under both Princesses*
When Celestia said that nothing was sacred I never assumed that she'd actively stoop so low as to defile the plumbing with chocolate milk; or cutting a hole in her sister's floor in order to hide a massive pudding vat.
If only Twilight could see her beloved princess right now...

A very well done introduction of Trixie to Celestia. Of course, I now see Celestia calling on HER personal student to assist, and her friends trailing along (either for the entertainment or to join in), and somepony - either Rainbow or Pinkie - making a comment about how much calmer Trixie is, pointing out the horn ring, and making a comment about 'pent up frustration'. Probably Pinkie points out the calm, Rarity the ring, and Rainbow makes the frustration comment.
nice chapter was hoping for trixie to fail and luna to still take her in but whatever. I really am waiting for twilight to show up and meet trixie for the third time.

I thought War of the Worlds as well, but the way it carried out I saw some elements of The Night Wire in there too. That was creepypasta material before there was creepypasta.
That was EPIC! If Luna won't, then I will right now! *claps loudly*
"Silly princess, we both know I don-" Wait, what are you do- argh! How dare you! - what Nightmare was thinking.
Now that was awesome!
First bit I loved: the bit with Shining and Cadance, where Nightmare got to act like a spoiled Princess.
Second bit I loved: Trixie's dream. Not only do we get to see the truth that Rarity, Rainbow, and AJ seriously wronged Trixie and that the whole thing was blown way out of proportion by the town, but Nightmare steers her towards a safer path and we will get to see how she will bring justice. I hope that becomes its own chapter, although nothing to vicious or intense. I'd imagine a serious apology from those three, reparations for the destruction of her trailer by Snips and Snails' families, and some sort of official apology from the whole town for chasing her out aught to do it.
Third bit I loved: Pinkie. Nuff said.
War of The Worlds... Knew that was coming as soon as I saw them mention what happened last time... Although in real life they kept announcing it was fiction throughout the broadcast. I guess Luna left the radio before the first one of those.
Celestia is going to get her back, so hard!

When Celestia stated that nothing would be sacred in this prank war, I thought violating Luna's plumbing to spray forth chocolate milk was already a serious example of such. Now it seems even dreams aren't out of bounds in this prank war.
If nothing is truly sacred then what major violation is going to happen next?

If Discord broke out when the Sisters were in a prank war, he would likely have too much fun with the Prank War to cause chaos elsewhere.

It was smart how you used the dream walking ability for Nightmare.
I’m debating whether or not to get reeled into a story I know will never be finished… on the one hand, what exists will probably be very entertaining on this several hour long bus ride! On the other hand, I will likely finish the story with a sad feeling of eternal longing for closure that shall never come…
Oh well! Eternal longing for the ending that will never be it is!!!
