Starberry Burst

T

On the last day of August, something very strange happened.

It began as a peaceful, but tense, protest outside of the offices of a local biotech coroportation. What transpired, however, unleashed a horror that nopony could contain. All of ponydom was overrun by a howling shambling mass. Civilisation was in ruins. Buffets were cancelled. The smell of sugar filled the air.

On the last day of August, Equestria turned into a cooking floor.

Hmmm... I had an idea of a Killing Floor crossover (though this is more of a parody, it seems). Original idea, really. Here, have a pony (and Piccalo)

Quite a good job here! I'll give you a tip though, you had a really eye catching title and cover, but in the story you dont actually explain HOW this happened. Needless to say, good job. You got my like! Oh and, with the accents, someones been playing Modern warfare 3. :raritywink:

I'm very much an old-fashioned writer, so I'm not gonna be giving away all of the secrets right at the start. Rest assured, explanations will come.

Also, I've never played Modern Warfare 3. Guess I didn't get the character's voices close enough to Killing Floor then. :raritydespair:

Oh, I see. But, erm, one more thing. Im new here, and, uh, do you like my profile picture? I spent 3 hours drawing it in all.:duck:

It looks quite bad Ass. Carry on good sir. :moustache:

wonder who the trader will be...

I hate to break it to you but I've seen that image on the internet much earlier than now (I think it was Valve's Steam Group avatar at some point), so not sure if trolling

My plans for the trader are quite boring, actually. I was planning on sticking with her KF counterpart.

Well, color me pleasantly surprised. I wasn't sure what to expect going in to this, but I must say, I've quite enjoyed reading what you have so far. The idea of sugar-crazed abominations getting combated with apples is funny, makes sense (from a food perspective), and allows you to have weapons and combat without dipping into grimdark territory.
The story itself is well-written, and I really like that you've decided to not 'exposition dump' at the very beginning. You said you were going to dole out the backstory piecemeal; I always find that a good, interesting narrative style. Certainly keeps people reading. I'm definitely following this one.
