Ever wonder why Ponyville was always so calm at night? How despite being so close to the Everfree Forest, there's hardly any problems? While Luna was trapped in the moon, how did ponies sleep so well? Corser. That's why. It's not so easy to run the night. Or at least, work the night to make sure everyone else has a nice night. It's a thankless job. Especially for Corser. Plagued with ancestral nightmares, and a job that could possibly kill him, things take a strange, and perhaps good, turn when Nightmare Moon is freed. Based in the same world as Pony of the Gears.

Author Note: This is the back story of Corser, a pony who's quite an important side pony in Pony of the Gears and Crossed Gears. Get ready for an inevitably long story, as it crosses portions from both stories, from Corser's perspective, rather than Copper's. And even I tried terribly hard to not make this romantic, my fingers got away from me and my mind wandered, so I decided to give up on that. Things will certainly spice up a bit, but I'm not sure how.
