This story takes place in the Conversion Bureau universe, created by Blaze
Dean lives in L.A. California. Keegan lives in a small city in Saskatoon. Dean wants to go to a Conversion Bureau with Keegan, but of course there are added difficulties that seem to just keep piling up around them. In a world where anyone could be part of the terrorist Human Liberation Front (HLF), converting to an Equestrian pony is dangerous, and you can't trust anyone. Assuming you survive that, there is still the matter of assimilating into Equestria.
For Dean and Keegan, it will be a difficult journey ahead....

Why the 4 downvotes from the start? Is there that much bias against TCB?

No, it just seems to be another run of the mill "4 legs good, 2 legs bad" kind of story. Having the main character seem to be in such heavy bias against hlf and in favour of conversion basically means there is no conflict other than one-dimensional "oh gawd its the meanie humans who are coming to get us".
Because of that, i dont see what sets this apart from any other of the many misnathrophic tcb stories.

And pray tell, why is that a bad thing? Besides its from the point of view of ONE character. Its chapter freaking one. I usually let it complete itself and run its course before voting with a thumbs up or down.
Edit: You account is pretty much empty. Ill assume you are one of the anonymous legion who doesn't glance past anything but the first chapter and then slams the gavel. Try sticking around for at least one complete story.
if i were to guess, this has been bombed by people who dont like TCB.
however i can see other issues such as passing and so far lack of character development that may turn some people away. just keep writing. these things will come in time and hopefully this will be recovered
Not bad of a story but its bland as hell even with the whole "join uz or be against uz" trope added in there. Though it is well written and it does have a lot of potential. I'll we waiting to see what comes next.

Keep in mind it's hard to be interesting/new or go anywhere when all I have so far is just the introduction and that this is just one character's perspective. This is my first fic and it's just an experiment. The second part is going to take a while since it'll be much larger and a lot more will be happening, more characters will have their perspectives explored, and I have multiple chapters planned out. This story will involve more than just the "join us or be against us" trope you pointed out. I'm also working on a second, completely original MLP fic at the same time that I think will be much better than this one. this is just an experiment.
