A strange creature wakes up in the middle of a strange land. In a thousand other worlds something similar has happened to a thousand other characters. There's just one problem; he's not from Earth. And he's not entirely human.

His home is a primative land ravaged by war, a far cry from the peaceful realm of Equestria. How will he react to a world full of sapient ponies? More importantly, how will they react to him?

Because, if it will take him, Equestria might just be the fresh start he's been looking for.

Takes place between Seasons 2 and 3.

What is this a cross over with?

2159604 It's actually crossing over with a fantasy story that a few friends and I started to write at school. While we stopped writing it quite a while ago, I've always liked this particular character, who was an invention of mine. Obviously, I'm making sure to try and write this so that previous knowledge of the character is unnecessary :trixieshiftright:

You have earned my interest. Take this.

Why thank you, my good man :moustache:

"If y'all wear clothes all the time, how does anypony see your cutie marks?"

I always hate that question.:ajbemused: There is NO reason for a pony to just assume a human would have a Cutie Mark but almost every story has them ask that! Lets look at sapient species in MLP:FiM thusly;
Has Cutie Mark:
Ponies
Zebras

Doesn't Have Cutie Mark:
Dragons
Diamond Dogs
Griffons
Buffalo
Sea Serpents
Changelings
Minotaurs
Donkeys
Mules
Cows
Sheep

Ergo ponies would not assume any unknown species they meet would have a Cutie Mark. This would only happen in cases where the human had a tattoo that a pony saw.

You know, that's an excellent point. Funnily enough, I was considering how relations with other species might affect how ponies viewed a visiting human, but clearly this case slipped by :twilightsheepish:

Nevermind, I'll have to think harder next time.

I think everybody has a favorite pony to write for.:raritywink: Rarity is also my favorite to write for, though Zecora is a close second( as frustrating as that can be)
Keep up the good work, looking forward to more

Well, Ranger's got all the etiquette I'd expect out of a mercenary, but I think that he did fairly well. Can't wait for more.

Oh believe me, he can be much worse! This is him making an effort :rainbowlaugh:

2491526 I foresee Ranger fighting something in the future, so the question is, what?

2491554
Um, pass?

Hate to be that guy, but all I can say is wait and see :trixieshiftright:

2492366 It's cool, I know what you mean :ajsmug:

2269377most of the time pony's don't even see them, and don't forget that even if they see one they shit their pants and then go because
not being a pony = monster
