Based on your Team Dai-Gurren avatar, this story was approximately as ridiculous as I expected. You worked in so many awesome things, like "I didn't put that in my bag" and Lyra's unexplained issues with seaponies. Certainly an interesting story, and one of the few that can actually earn a five-star rating from me.

One thing that didn't make sense to me is how ExTech didn't notice the entire population of the city missing. Or how Luna even managed to do it. Magic? Will this be explained next time?

When you say you didn't see Lyra's situation developing, do you mean in a good 'it surprised you' way, or a bad 'it wasn't foreshadowed well' way? I personally think is my weakest chapter and I'm looking for ways to improve it x)

It was a good surprise. Given that this is the ending episode of a season, and you've been bouncing around episodes, I can believe the premise that Lyra at some point had become dissatisfied with her lot in life. The nanotechnology that she is wearing isn't helping her any either.

Ah, well, can't please them all. Still, I did like the campiness of the final scene and the mega-awesome-super-duper-ally-ooper rainbow of life/death at the end. Was Celestial Tower representing the Element of Magic? Was that what the organization was afraid Trixie would find?

Loved Derpy's line after the Sonic Rainbullet part. Figures that she'd get something right without even knowing.

Also liked some of the mythology that was brought up in regards to the previous bearers of harmony. I was wondering why some of the buildings had familiar titles to them.

Wonderful story! Will we be seeing a season 2? The Return of the Great and Powerful One? Will Luna avenge her most faithful servant? Stay tuned next fall!

Not a bad story, it really had that feel of a 80s 90s hero show and all the cheesy wonderfulness that comes with it.

My only regret, is that there wasn't an appearance of the Mysterious Mare-do-well. Oh the missed opportunities. But hey, There were 32 other episodes, so who knows, maybe it did happen.

Hm.  I liked the ending.  Let me start off with that.  

I'm afraid that I must report my socks to still be firmly in place, however.  I feel like the story slipped away from the hokey, campy feel it started with (which is what I loved about it) and into a more dramatic, unbelievable (is that a word I can credibly use about a story featuring magical talking ponies in cybersuits that wield megacellos?) tone.  The somber after-thoughts of the fight, Lyra's (eventual) 360, I dunno...

It's your story to do with as you want.  We're just along for the ride.

Curse your resilient socks =p The tone shift was half-intentional, half-unintentional. As the story went on it became apparent that I wanted to deconstruct rather than straight-up parody just by the way it was developing in my head, so I just kind of rolled with it. Part of the issue is that I was making this all up as I went, because I thought I wasn't going to do any more every time I started a chapter.

I can say, however, that the 'movie' will be VERY MUCH a return to the hokum. VERY MUCH. And also that I wish I hadn't been so mean to Trixie. But the end-note wasn't lying. She'll be back.

Luna watching soap operas is way funnier than it has any right to be.

I freaking love this. It's gone from hilarious comedy in the first three chapters to what promises to be an absolutely epic conclusion. You sir, sure know how to hook a reader in.

Hell, I really dug this ending. Sure, it's a long cry from the campy, silly, comedic tones I adored from the first three chapters, but I enjoy a little epicness now and then and I still thoroughly enjoyed this ending. Kinda neat how you revealed that this is after the mane six, and how you've been hinting at that all this time.

Actually, I really don't know what say. I'm a little speechless. Star Wars style run 'n gun, giant magical bears, GIANT magical robot ponies, the freakin' moon used as a battering ram...yeah, lot a good stuff.

JUST when things start to cool down, yet ANOTHER problem crops up. Do these heroes ever get any slack?

Villains for next season? Well, Iron Will from the latest episode would probably be a good start. There's also dragons and griffons that could invade. Perhaps the spirits of the previous elements could interact with their counterparts and mess with their minds? Plus, what series would be complete without a hot springs episode that deals with force, awkward situations?

Iron Will is DEFINITELY on my list. He's amazing. If I'd been writing a random episode when he aired, I would've done what happened with the Flim Flams and just restructured the whole thing aroud him. I think he could also work as an obnoxious hero type who waltzes in and gets owned, but that would involve Iron Will getting owned. And yeah, I have severely underutilised other species. Maybe when I fill in some Season 1 gaps I'll do some worldbuilding. As for the Mane 6, THEY'RE ALREADY ACCOUNTED FOR *mysterious* Did you catch the letter in the epilogue?

Oh man, that was amazing. I...I seriously have no words. It was just non-stop action, beginning to end, and I loved every minute of it.

So we have Discord out there, the CMC wreaking havoc (love!) but what really captures my interest about this ending is that mysterious letter from Twilight Sparkle, who we now for sure is the Element of Magic and yet...yeah, I have no explanation for that letter. You've presented a mystery I'm going to be pondering over for some time.

That was AWESOME. Also, lol @ the credits as the princesses as their sisters. wat.

As for an episode idea... Maybe the princesses swap jobs with L&BB. Or L&BB have boy problems. Maybe you can do an episode centered around Derpy (enter: Carrot Top, Derpy's nemesis at control over the office fridge), or another of the Element Bearers.

New villains? Gilda the short tempered gryphon, Zecora the mad alchemist, Colgate the evil dentist, Photo Finish the obsessed photographer, Iron Will and his army of goats, Blueblood the uncouth gentlecolt ruffian, Berry Punch the... drunk pony?, Angel the mad scientist rabbit, Sprinkle the Mary Sue OC self insert human-in-equestria-turned-pony alicorn (the worst of them all).

Gilda - Not sure about Gilda. I think I dislike her too much. Although...*mind races with Teen-rated casual violence scenarios*

Photo Finish - OH MAN, Photo Finish. What I have planned for Photo Finish is one of my favourite ideas, and she has what I think is my favourite line out of everything I've written.

Iron Will - Like I said before, the MOMENT that episode aired I started planning something for Iron Will. I hope you like zombies. ASSERTIVE zombies.

Blueblood - He'll be making an appearance, but nothing major.

Berry Punch - Berry Punch, too, will be making a minor appearance. She might even recur. WHO KNOWS?

Angel - Already planned for, madly enough!

As for OCs, I do actually have a couple lined up. Nothing silly though. At least one major side character, a recurring minor character and one who'll have an episode based around him (and should hopefully be funny as hell).

Vinyl dodges and a random ExTech researcher is hit, who snatches Vinyl's ray from her and retaliates. The conflict escalates until Derpy, drawn by the commotion, enters the lab with multiple guards to discover a room full of sheepish-looking sea ponies trying to hide a variety of non-lethal weaponry. After everyone is changed back, the Transform-O-Ray is destroyed on Derpy's orders.

I have an idea of who the main bad person will be... but... I'm keeping it to myself. But until then, you should do more of episode like these. I like them.

I think maybe you should do a Scooby-Doo-ish plot. A small 'whodunit' and have a ton of Scooby-Doo references in there. A TON!

Fantastic chapter! Though the ending with the Kraken felt a bit abrupt, but what the hey. Man, they have to do sea ponies in the show sometime. We all know it would be awesome (just so long as there's no singing)!

Never thought Smarty Pants would be used as the monster of the week. Also, was it a he or she? You started calling it a he and then a she towards the end.

Saw several sentences that were missing words. When you go through this again for your Director's cut, might want to get it proof-read. Actually, I'm willing to do that if you're looking for some proof-readers. I'm decent with grammar (not so much the plot) so little things like that I can catch.

I'm actually really proud of the CMC. I don't think there's anything about their part in that story that I didn't like, except maybe ONE of Scootaloo's lines. They are easily my new favourite thing to write.

As for all the editing jazz, yeah, I really dropped the ball on this one. I have an unfortunate tendency to do all my writing late at night, and if I end up on a roll it gets to the point where I'm finishing up at 6am. That's normally not a problem, but if I've been up all night the night before (which sometimes happens), I can get burned out and just not notice, leading to HORRIBLE MESSES like that chapter's editing =p I plan to fix it up tonight though.

Oh, and Smarty Pants was a she. I kept accidentally putting in "he"s because I just pretended she was The Hulk in my mind. Could've sworn I caught them all! Ah well, another thing to add to the list of derps to correct.

EDIT: Oh, and I think Smarty Pants is my weirdest villain idea. No, wait, there's one more that is... pretty crazy.

Suh-weet. I think you did a superb job balancing the action with the humor in this episode (and now, I don't feel weird calling it that) and it's fun to see what Lyra and Bon-Bon have to put up with after the events of the movie.

The CMC got their swag by utilising the fundamental rule that Harpflank and Sweets is based upon: The "I Don't Know, But It's Pretty Awesome, RIght?" rule. Well, that's not strictly true. There is a reason, which may or may not end up being revealed, but my writing process is essentially

1. Think "CMC having an underground base called The Clubhouse would be pretty cool."

2. Give them an underground base called The Clubhouse.

3. Think "So, how do I justify this?" Can I think of an answer?

4. If yes, reveal answer at appropriate time.

5. If no, leave it in anyway.

Also I have something hopefully pretty sweet planned for Derpy's backstory, but that won't be for a while.

Hey there. I just wanted to drop in and say that after loving the first episode back when I reviewed it on /fic/ and then getting too busy to do enough fanfic reading for months, I've spent a bit of time over the last week or two catching up.

I really enjoyed it. I mean, I thought that first episode was really clever and fun, but then you went above and beyond took this story in all kinds of crazy awesome directions after that. I love seeing meta things like "we fight Trixie every week" in stories. Really dug the movie, lolled at the seaponies and am loving Season 2 so far (an aside: I could use something like Smarty Pants to unleash on authors every time they call Twilight a lavender unicorn or Rainbow Dash a cyan pegasus (TWILIGHT SPARKLE TWILIGHT SPARKLE)).

Just one little thing (opinions of course; feel free to disregard them):

- I see a few too many uses of "began to verb" for my liking. It's a tautology that I rather dislike and does nasty little things to your flow. Please try to avoid saying "began to verb" when "verbed" would work better or just as well.

I see you've authorised guest episodes and one's out already (I should read that). I think that sounds really fun and would probably be interested in trying to do one in future, provided I can come up with an idea. I'll email/PM you with an outline if anything comes of that.

Oh, and something I was wondering about the other day: who watches the Harpflank and Sweets TV show? What's that universe like? Is it Equestria with television? Is it a future Earth where young boys and girls alike watch action-packed adventure shows with colourful female pony characters (possibly resulting from MLP evolving in a similar direction to Loony Toons and getting its own (good) Loonatics*)?

*I'm really sorry for comparing Harpflank and Sweets to Loonatics. I hope my actual meaning is clear.
