Fallen_Valkyrie

T

After accidentally stumbling upon a hidden chamber in Celestia's study, Twilight discovers a long hidden secret and learns the truth about certain workings in Equestria and her princess and teacher. She is soon force to suffer the consequences of her actions.

^this story is based on the cover picture. I don't know who made the cover picture, I don't own it, I just saw it on Facebook and wrote a story about it, if it's yours let me know and I'll credit you for it^

I would sooner subject myself to acids than to ignore the abhorrent OOC behavior from everypony. I suppose her friends were not invited to this lovely cook-out? Not a single objection from the crowd of generally kindhearted and friendly ponies? Were they misinformed? Are they truely uncaring for difference, such is evident by something like the Salem Witch Trials (even though we've established in 'Bridal Gossip' that they have become more open-minded)? It bears explanation, my good sir.

Also, even though Celestia kept secret the false nature of 'raising the sun', it is unlikely that it would topple her rule or affect anything too highly. Sure, she would be less noble, being found out a liar.... But it is clearly established that Celestia is a being with unquestionable power above everypony else, and whether or not something short of a rebellion could take place is certainly possible, yet unused in this story.

Singed is.... not pleased by this course of events. Perhaps this is something to correct later in time.

Stay shaken, not stirred.

By the Emperor how heretic.

I'll start off with thank you and honestly, yes everything in the story is objectionable and out of character. It's kind of the point. It is a direct comparison to the Witch Trials and the treatment of new ideas in ignorant times. It draws inspiration from the treatment of Galileo and his problems with the church. Maybe I should add an alternate universe tag, maybe that will cover up my shoddy writing. I don't mind really, and yes these are all great points and I'm not one to ignore suggestions and may very well fix all of this one day. As for now however it will remain as is, as a story I wrote in an hour after seeing a picture on facebook that was made to both demonstrate ignorance and make fun of the trials. Thank you again for your opinions they will not go unnoticed

Indeed, an 'Alternate Universe' tag should clear up any misconceptions nicely.

/clap/ Nice. I'd hardly believe Celestia would really do that, but you did write this from the picture, and this is supposed to be silly, so it doesn't matter. I liked reading this.

What's next, the moon doesn't raise at all?

All things are possible with time lol

And Twilight conveniently forgot about her magical ability (before she is burned)?

1869686
Nah I covered that little loophole, Celestia cast a magic block/lock or whatever happened to Shining Armor In the Season three opening on her before the burning. It's a dumb story anyway. :rainbowderp:

You only mentioned that right before they burned her. I got the impression that she didn't have it when the guards jumped her from that line's placement.

1869766
True, I guess you got me. But really how much of that story makes any sense.

1869773
It makes sense in its own context. In relation to the show, not so much, but that's what the AU tag is for. It's not bad, but it's not really anything worthwhile.

Well I don't expect it to be a masterpiece, it was written in an hour.

A bit unrealistically, the princess could of used just a memory erasing spell. Also, the exact same scene was written on the '120 day of BlueBlood'

its supposed to be but

Alright haha I understood that w/o a translation, makes me feel smart

Poor Twilight. Very good story though. Makes a lot of sense. I do like these dark stories, and stories that us Celestia as a villain.

Judging by the cover though, I kind of expected Trixie to come in and save Twilight at the end. Sad that didn't happen.
