All these dark stories, and so random. I DON'T GET IT. Sounds like Blackwatch from Prototype 2, always experimenting, most none of them have any feelings for others at all. The three striped visors reminds me of Dead Space, except they are experimenting on Ponies instead of other Humans, and I have no idea why.
Except for some grammar issues, like what you've been talking about, I don't know how people always miss them.
I liked this story, for it's mystery, for it's darkness, and for Humanity's domination over lesser beings. (They are Human right?)

It was an imperfection, but they could've used it. They also experimented on animals, but their dna was always too unstable.

Hey remember how I referred to the Doctor and his cohorts as 'sick twisted bastards'? Well I'd like to change that statement to 'putrid disgusting piles of human excrement' and 'everything that is wrong with science'. Because these mon- no not the right word, mistakes would suit them much better, are just what all science fiction and I fear: experimentation without moral and all in the sign of a hideous 'progress'. 9 out of 10 times gene splicing can go horribly array and nearly all mutations end lethally or aren't even able to be passed down to become permanent. This sort of thing is why genetics is muddier than a swampy bog. We don't have a full grasp on it and yet we pretend to do just for the glorious progress (which ends in creations of GMO and weapons). The Doctor here is perfect for that and, even though I know this was based on your dream, I can definitely see this as a huge fear. However, this was a great dark and tragic story. I love how both Luna and Celestia were defiant till the very end and stood up to the mad Doctor, not giving him more reasons to be smug. I really liked it in a weird and twisted way. Another masterpiece from you and this proves you truly are the 'author's author'

I... don't know what to think about this, there was nothing there that really allowed me to grasp on to exactly who was who, I get that their colors were identified, but that could have been anypony, it would have been better if there was some indicator of who was who or some indicator of exactly why they were there.
