After stumbling upon a great secret beneath the Everfree Forest, Twilight and Rainbow Dash are cast into a world of forgotten civilisations, ancient Forerunner technology and tragedy on a galactic scale. This discovery could surely mean an advancement of epic proportions for the Equestrians? Or perhaps a fate far worse than death...
Twilight and Rainbow will soon learn that despite the creators being long forgotten, the created remain a threat.
NOTE: This is a different take on the standard Halo crossover; rather than a spartan in Equestria or a pony in the Halo world, this brings the myth akin to Cryptum and Primordium.

Oh, if I think what I am THINKING, then there are a few things:
1. They are going to NEED that food.
2. They are going to NEED that blanket, due to going potentially underground.
3. They are probably going to not only find idols and "temples" but these metallic idols won't be so still...
4. Equestria, specifically Ponyville, is going to be ROYALLY FUCKED!!!
5. Rainbow, I hope ya can shoot as accurate as Indie Jones!!!
6. They will probably find an old and cranky ancient God-like being down below.....
Edit: Oh, wait....isn't that last one referring to...well......ME?!!

It's good to see something else.
You have captured my attention. I definitely want to see where this will end up going. And if ancient Forerunner structures are involved then things can get mighty… ugly and rotten, if you catch my drift.
In which case, Equestria is even more screwed than 1896892 suspects. Or they'll find some annoying lightbulb that also takes too long every time they encounter a locked door. 
Regardless, I look forward to the next instalment.

As long as you don't do a straight crossover with Halo...I think I will watch this!
I do have to say that the prolonged wait for the action is a bit much.
I want to see SOMETHING Forerunner next time. I don't care how little, what it is, I don't care. I just want to see Forerunner stuff, or hints of Forerunner stuff.
