Helly everyone! I hope you enjoyed reading this as much as I did writing it. I can honestly say that this is what I needed to get past my annoying writer's block.

So, I wrote this 'one-shot' for a few other reasons as well, namely I wanted to use this to gauge interest for a possible future series, and in the case that I do decide to write it, to have it function as a prologue for said series.

Anywho, as always I'll welcome your comments, input and possible thoughts on a continuation. :rainbowkiss:

It certainly is! One of my favorite series to boot

1582387 Personally, I loved Ebberon the best, but my dad only wanted to play Grayhawk. That noob.

3.5 was best edition. Did you notice how D&D was the opposite of MLP? Gens 1-3.5 were great, but 4th sucked. Weird, huh?

We can certainly agree on that.

Really interesting so far.

I'm a relative newcomer, and I found that Pathfinder is a nice system, since it's essentially an improved 3.5 rather than a complete remake of the everything like 4.0 (not that I've played 4.0, but based on the comments comparing the two from more prolific players in my group). The biggest improvement I noticed was the revamp of the class skill system. Man was that a pain in 3.5.

1583360 True, that was a big pain in 3.5. Super unbalanced in my opinion.

4th edition will make you cry though.

Okay, I'm sort of in a cold sweat of excitement at the moment. Apparently my little piece of fanfic has caught the attention of Paul S. Kemp himself:

My heart is literally up my throat :pinkiegasp:

... Holy shit that's fast. It's amazing how small the world gets when you're on the internet. :twilightoops:

Story Title: Erevis Cale: Dark Side of the Moon

One of the challenges of writing a good crossover story is being able to take one established fandom and fit it with another fandom in a way that doesn’t leave the reader confused about characters and their back stories. The author accomplishes this with Erevis Cale: Dark Side of the Moon, and presents readers with a good example of how a crossover story should be written so as not to cater only to readers who are fans of the fandom being used in a crossover with MLP.
