The Fall

Over the past several months, Twilight Sparkle has been translating an old journal. At the onset, the activity simply served to appease the mare's curiosity and to help her learn the Ancient Equestrian language, but she finds the closing entries of the journal to be far more important than she had anticipated. These are the closing entries of the journal of Stargazer, Luna's royal astronomer some 1,000 years ago.

No. Luna, both canon and fic, does not need to see this at this time. Perhaps later
when she has adjusted to the current way of life and is stronger mentally she would be ready.
For now Celestia should keep the journal, and when, and if Luna asks about what ever happened to
Stargazer then she could consider giving it to her.
In my opinion this story ends as it should. Any attempt to extend it, as I think some people will want you to would only dilute the emotional impact you have created. Well done!

This is brilliant. I want to read more, but the logic in my head knows that it would ruin what has already been put forth. Excellent job, you nearly brought me to tears.
