This is a shorter piece that's sort of a story-blog hybrid. I can only assume these feelings aren't unique to me.
This is more of an introspective piece; I have a feeling it won't be for everyone.

World's Worst Brony. Enjoys a wide variety of writing, from crackfics to smuts to serious novel(la)s. Always up for some chatter.

I suppose that it should come as no surprise to find others who feel the same way. I am in the same boat, but my problem isn't technical stuff, rather I tend to over-describe scenes. Plus, my female characters tend to be weak I am still learning to use conversation to push a scene through, another weak part of my writing.
Thank you, for putting this into words. Too bad I don't have a Twilight Sparkle at my elbow to help me write...

It's natural to focus on the negative aspects of ourselves; it comes from an evolutionary need to better oneself for both the survival of the self and the aurvival of the pack/family/tribe.
I wrote this as a way of venting some of those frustrations, and more importantly, making myself face them head-on.
That said, it's also not healthy to constantly beat yourself down, which is where Twilight comes in: She's representative of those little reminders you get that you, even as a flawed person who needs to learn and grow and improve, have good traits, that you should embrace and be proud of.
I know this might come off as a big odd from a stranger over the internet, but if you ever need to talk about something that's bugging you, don't be afraid to reach out. I'll be your Twilight. ^^
