I can see that this story was meant to be based on something else, but judging by the finished product, I'm not sure that was a good idea. This feels way too rushed for what it is. Rainbow Dash confesses to having feelings for Applejack, and Applejack immediately goes into an oddly nonchalant discussion about marriage. That's a jarringly unrealistic flow that immediately took me out of the story. I would have liked to see some highlighting of why Rainbow Dash feels the way she does, as well as some more normal reactions from Applejack.

I could have given more of Rainbow's perspective and maybe that would have made things progress more naturally. You're right on that. I personally don't think Applejack's mention of marriage was nonchalant, but that's just me. Perhaps Jo mentioning the possibility of not getting married in Little Women was a bigger deal because well... it was the 1860s.
But anyway, thank you for taking the time to read and comment.
