This is beautiful, and I love the use of consent and how it's much more true to real life gatherings like this rather than some high octane orgy. It feels real and good and the only reason it's getting downvoted all over the place is that it's for Pride.

Oh yes. I've been in many situations like this in my time, so that's why it feels more true to life. People get nervous, they get scared, they're not immediately all up for everything. Thus it was quite nice... and it's interesting to see Twilight and Soarin' as that's not a common pairing in any sense.

She's a Princess, and he's a Celebrity/athlete/military officer, Wonderbolt. I'd be surprised if Twilight never dated up to her status.

That's my personal headcanon tho. Spike's Tell-All about her being a Canterlot Snob might've been grounded in fact. She may have a little of that Unicorn Superiority complex, given where she grew up, in Canterlot. Which would make her worry in Boast Busters make even more sense. She was afraid that if she used her magic, tho superior as it was even among Unicorns, her other friends might alienate her for thinking she was so much better than them; when in truth, she was; but she didn't want them to think that she thought like that. Which means she's very aware of what others might think of her.. And now that she's a Princess, she probably feels she should date up, or I'd go so far as to say she feels she deserves to date up.
