Nice little story there. The characterization is good and the pace and flow is extremely well done.
Never saw the twist coming and not in a horribly contrived way.
Some might say the intro is misleading, but I enjoy how you withhold just enough info to keep us guessing until the end.

Nice twist at the end, I have to admit I didn't consider voice being what was wrong, but now that I think about it, Charlie Chaplin being what they see makes a lot of sense, plus the inclusion of Vinyl. Smart writing.
Nicely done. Ironic that I had to have it read to me in TTS before it finally clicked in my head. Show's me that I shouldn't try reading smart fics when sleepy.
In and out of itself, it is a delightful Slice of Life story that hides a very clever twist, a superbly woven but clever twist. Everything makes sense by the end if you paid attention, from Vinyl to Chaplin, to the teacher being unable to explain to the student.

Damn that was a really unique story that kept me engaged even though I knew there was a twist (blame discord for that lol) however, it didn't not spoil anything and it was executed brilliantly!
Good story, but I'd like to know how the sound vanished in the first place.

As the story tells, basically the magical gem got activated and did it, I don't think it would be worth to make a new chapter or fic, as it wouldn't be too interesting.

The twist makes so much sense in hindsight, but you still never see it coming. Wonderful work, gapty. Absolutely wonderful.
I liked it, but i feel as if the majority of the enjoyment is from a reference I don't het.
