My entry into the Who Crossed Over With My Little Pony? Contest

Oh, that explains why there's been all these unusual crossovers lately! I was wondering...

(Giving this a read as soon as I post this comment)

At the surge of pain, Tom let out a painful howl, tossing aside the apple to try and dislodge the belligerent canine.

Couldn't resist. :pinkiecrazy:

This was a cute read. (Raises his thumb upward)

As someone who grew up watching classic Tom and Jerry cartoons, I have to say you did an outstanding job on this story as you really gotten how Tom and Jerry would act in this story.

Tom and jerry

REALLY amusing short story. Quite in character for all involved. I admit that I COULD quite easily see Discord bringing Tom and Jerry to Equestria out of boredom as well as the "rough and tumble, but all in good fun" explanation. And Discord's reveal of the REAL friendship problem that Fluttershy and Pinkie were asked to deal with at the end was pretty good too.

Very well done! It's been a long time since I've watched Tom and Jerry, and this brought back some nice memories. The scene with Opalescence was priceless.

Actually relieved Tom and Jerry weren't the friendship problem, if they stop trying to kill each other, then life has no meaning.

William Hanna & Joseph Barbara got their start with a Tom & Jerry cartoon in 1940.

Thus was formed a duo that would change the (animation) world. They formed Hanna Barbera Studio in 1957 & the rest, as they say, was History.

Thought I remembered this & checked the internet. The name "Tom and Jerry" originally referred to a mixed drink (eggnog + brandy).

Well, you've certainly captured Tom and Jerry's personalities.

I'm a bit surprised that the boutique doesn't have a cat flap on the back door. I suppose Opal expects a pony to open the door for her on the rare occasion she wants to be outside.

In any case, fun bit of chaos. Ironically, the ending makes this feel like something of a shaggy dog story, but it was still an entertaining read. Thank you for it, and best of luck in the judging.

Winona growled louder, bounding over and barking at the cat – who, unlike other cats, stood twice her size at least. Tom raised an eyebrow at the barking dog, holding a hand just over his head and then comparatively holding it over Winona’s, laughing at the size difference. Not caring, he went to bite the apple…

I didn't think someone would be able to capture an exchange between several non-verbal characters so well in literary form, but here we are.

And there were two audible chomps – Tom bit the apple, and Winona bit his tail.

Also the blow-for-blow actually follows through with the comedic reveal by clever ordering of sequences, well played!
