this was nice.
Some lessons have to be learned, she said. I wonder if there's any lesson that's she'll learn in time to not die.
Sure, this is about change and acceptance, but to accept having your mother sear into you a change that takes who knows how many millennia of life? That's harsh.
Still hope for Adagio and sisters to be able to deal with it well enough.
Yeah, I don't feel bad for Adagio. She's the bad guy, lol.
This was good. It was just long enough as it really needed to be.
No way back anymore. Well, they can always ask Sunset for more help.
I think you'll get a fair amount of
it should be longer
Could be.
Makes a great snippet, though.

That kind of ties into what Sunset said about deals with ancient elder beings. Yes, She was Adagio's mother, but not in the way that you or I think of a mother. Something like the Siren-Mother will always be a mother second, and a Great One first. Who can say why She did what She did? The motivations and whims of such a being are impossible to know, even if their goals can be determined.
An interesting outcome. I am surprised neither Aria nor Sonata followed them into the portal back then.
Pretty good, just kind of an abrupt shift on Adagio's part, and a bit of a rushed ending. Still good, though.
Man, I wish I discover you and your stories before all of these endings. Good story. Good job.
Siren-centric stories are a hard sell for me, but you did a great job getting me invested in Adagio’s fate. An excellent read; thank you for it.
I enjoy your take on Siren lore. And Eldritch beings are always fun.
It's interesting to see a well done take on the question of what happened to a siren when the Rainbooms shattered her gem.
Sunset, in thoughts: "Not like I already do"
Also Adagio: Touches high school students suggestively
Love how you portray Adagio here, showing that despite seeming "like others", she's still a predator seeing others as preys
Interesting take I personally haven't really seen done before—not even talking about turning into a human
Celestia and Luna are staring at each other. After a moment, both nod in union and their horns begin to glow.
Suddenly, the moon and sun appear over the ocean. The sun burned on the water, boiling and evaporating it in big masses, while the moon pulled the remaining water like a tide to reveal the Siren-Mother, who could only gasp from the lack of water around her
Love the conversation with the Siren-Mother. Has a certain charm to it—portraying in an, I guess, interesting(?) way both the relationship and the mother. The decision made certainly led up naturally to it
Hm, makes me slightly wondering why they didn't follow Adagio through, but I also could see why they didn't.
Interesting, well done story focusing on a redemption of Adagio with a much more literal transformation. Imo the way towards Adagio's destination didn't have to be a multiple days long trip, maybe just three days long, as it kind of leaves Sunset and Adagio for a long time together in silence without bigger interactions, but otherwise I have no complains
