Moving to Equestria and buying a small farm in a village not far from the capital was just the change of pace Red needed. A nice, quiet life while she got her mental and physical state back into something resembling a functioning human being.

Ponies by nature, are usually friendly, outgoing and physically affectionate. Red's capacity to withstand polite society, and her limited energy for human- or pony interaction, will be pushed to their extremes.

Or maybe that's just the lack of sleep talking.

Hello dragonfire2lm,

When I saw this advertised on the self-promotion bureau, I was intrigued. As a fellow introvert, I was curious to see what happened. And, I gotta say, I kind of liked this.

Red's definitely relatable (at least, I think she is), and I liked how Pinkie actually showed some insight and ability to compromise by making sure to have food she actually liked and not overwhelming her with her usual antics. And, of course, Fluttershy and Red have a really nice chemistry with each other; I felt that being a fellow introvert, Fluttershy might click better with your character.

I did feel there wasn't a lot of conflict (from the way you advertised it, I was expecting Red to reach a breaking point and bark at some pony), but then again, it's slice of life, and the compromise over arguing helped keep Red and the Mane Six likable.

Overall, this was a nice read. Thanks for sharing.

I like where you’re going with this. And I especially appreciate your characterization of Pinkie; she’s more than just “party pony go brrr” but actually wants everyone to smile, even if it’s not the way she smiles. +follow

Thanks.

There might be a point further down the line where Red is pushed past her limits, but I want to keep the situations believable. As stated in the author's notes I have no idea what I'm doing with this fic, so we'll see.

I'm glad Red is relatable since she's a self-insert character and all. I know those can be hit or miss.

Thanks.

Kinda winging it, but I appreciate that you like it.

Bookmarked to read later based on title alone.

Wasn't expecting Pinkie to be like that. And its good to see that Red has some friends to depend on in town.

There's a couple things that are think are at work here. First, Red is an actual introvert and not a Hollywood introvert; she's believable, so I can relate to her.

Similarly, Red is a self-insert, so I can relate to you, too. I wouldn't think that really means anything, but it does and actually enhances the experience: Less like I'm reading about Red's experiences, and more like I'm living through them with her.

Or something. I'm a consultant, not a very good orator.

Red's introversion is taken from my own experiences, and while I'm going to write something that is hopefully entertaining, I'm going to have her reactions and reasoning be as grounded as possible. I'm glad you like this.
