Great fic
Well done! A much different story that what I that it was going to be at the start. Very sweet!
Somehow. I just knew that this would wind its way back to that Fluttershy was dead, and that this whole thing was Discord trying, and failing, to cope with it. With marriage.
And that Twilight was having none of it. Tags kinda gave part of it away. Still a good read at least.
I don't know what I was expecting, but this wasn't it. Very nicely executed.

I also didn’t know what to expect, but this was good. And as far as outcomes when Discord loses Fluttershy, which people must have been dreading for years, this is probably the best outcome. Sad for both of them.

It's really hard for an immortal (and really really hard for a Discord) to have to face the loss of a mortal friend.

As much as the tags spoil it, your comment sitting just under the fic without any spoiler'd text is worse.
This really does get ya to the core of your heart, what with this whole fic being super rich in emotion! It's very well written, a nice fic to think about for a long while, and is pretty much a fantastic read! I hope ya didn't mind, but I simply had to read this emotional fic of yours!

Yea...far out. I just saw "Twilight," "Discord," "Wedding" and thought "oh some pre-flutterwedding hijinks!"
But no. And I think it's better that way. That makes the punch in the gut even stronger.
This was both adorable, lovely and absolutely heart-breaking.
I love it.
If only they had just not made The Last Problem and left the question of Twilight's alleged immortality alone.

If I'm remembering right:
The others become alicorns while the whole group is traveling through various dimensions trying to stop a vast cosmic horror--it was going to be a continuation of this story here and get fairly epic in scale. Probably just as well I'll never get around to it.
