Note- The story isn't that dark.
This story was written with my friend, Godzillawolf. After stumbling upon a homeless Trixie, Twilight tries to help her get a new job in Ponyville. However, an unexpected visitor to the town wants to leave Trixie homeless and feeding off scraps. Checker Monarch is set on ruining everything Trixie does, for reasons not yet explained. Trixie must discover new friends and must face this old danger through new eyes.
Hey guys, RaikouArtist here. Kendell and I have actually finished Chapter 6, I am just making a few tweaks. You can see it posted today or early tomorrow. You might not know, We have also started plans for the sequel of this story, an adventure that is.
Rainbow Dash is extra jerky because she doesn't want Trixie to harm her friends any more. Again, I am sorry to Rainbow lovers, because 70% Dash in this story is my doing aswell xD
The other main characters I helped in alot were AJ, Twilight and... Later on. =D That in mind, guys, Paraderpy's pictures on the chapters can only be found in DA. So, till you wait to see Paraderpy's pictures, you might notice that FIMFiction gets updates on the story before DA. ;)
I love this story to bits, but you really should proof-read it a few times and fix all the typos and grammatical errors and oddities. They can be very distracting.
Other than that, seriously, this is amazing. That song blew my mind. Manly tears were shed, even, I'll admit. Keep up the great work!

"Of course Trixie did, but...Trixie...kind of didn't read the fine print in the contract she signed when she invested...some legal mumbo jumbo that let them off the hook."
"Anyway, please tell Trixie you kicked their flanks rather thoroughly," Trixie replied with a growl.

I really hope you keep in mind that, at the heart of it all, Trixie is a PERFORMER. Most people don't get that a person who's done performing, who's been an actor or comedian or stage magician or the like, it's not just a job, it's in their blood... even if they never go up on stage again in their life, it's part of who they are. They'll have sequins in their eyes till the day they die.

Generally, you collect eggs in a BASKET, not a BUCKET. It's safer for the eggs.
You might want to ask someone who participates in county fairs how they go about collecting and entering apples for a judging... I'm pretty sure they don't pick them months ahead of time. And lugging them around to show off... a bit odd.

I thought it was impressive when "Past Sins" made nightmare moon into a woobie. Now you've gone and done it with Trixie....
Actually I won't reveal all of her dad now, but he really cared about Trixie in the flashbacks. Trixie's flashback was twisted by young Checker, but Checker's final flashback reveals that her dad was proud of Trixie. He just didn't want her to think she is the best so she will not think but rather go for first. Also, just for the clarification, like, two new OCs are definitely coming in the end and...

Well, the fair isn't in a few months, it's in about a week from the point it's mentioned for the first time, thus why AJ is working hard to get her look right. 
Would it be to much to ask to kill her off? At least Discord's explicit purpose in life was to make ponies feel terrible, Checker is an asshole to Trixie just cause. We better have one hell of a catharsis once everything is on the table between the two, and if that means feeding Checker her own teeth, I really don't mind.

Saw that coming about 4 chapters ago... I can't wait for the finale where CHECKER gets run out of town by a friendship-driven and very angry populace... and probably some manipulated diamond dogs who discover the gems they got are colored glass...

Holy Buck did I just read that entire story thus far in less than an hour?!
This is magnificent! I love manipulative characters, and seeing Checkers in action is both chilling and awe inspiring. 
There are a few places where the cast in uncharacteristically forgiving and understanding. But given thisis a Trixe redemption fic it's to be expected. 
And unlike other Trixie redemption fics, you make up for it with the quality of the villain!
This is breathtaking, and I hope you update again soon.
Dear sweet Celestia, it's been a long time since I've read a story with a villain I genuinely despised - and reading the prior comments, I'm not alone. I'll be keeping my eye on this story for its continuation and conclusion... which I hope will include her utter humiliation and degradation. I commend you both for managing to create a very real emotional response.
Personally I've always felt Trixie was unfairly vilified in that episode - from one perspective, she was just trying to silence a bunch of local hecklers who couldn't recognize a bit of kayfabe and were trying to ruin the show she put on to make an actual living. There are several redemption stories out there, but few that avoid the trap of putting all the blame on Trixie just so the Mane Six can come out clean and pristine. (To me, one of the strengths of the main show, that make it interesting and compelling to watch, is that the protagonists, for all their friendship and good qualities, still have many deep flaws they must learn to overcome.)
Anyway, good story, handles the driving conflict well, and I'll look forward to its progress.

Oh well, the characterization of Check there makes me want to stuff her in a crate and set her drifting down the river... or, in lieu of that, send her to the moon... or mail her to the changelings for some amusement... or just cast an inversion spell on her horn.
Wow, it's been a while since a chapter of this was posted. And I still managed to recall what had happened so far. .
Checker is taking a risk. If a dream has enough weight on a ponies' mind to affect their waking thoughts, it might also reveal the evil psycho b- Er, I mean, meanie.
Also, hooray, update!
It's because she doesn't have all the cards here that she's getting more aggressive. Trixie has her own pillars now, and Checker has yet to properly compensate for them without at least one of the manes being able to salvage the situation. Discord had the advantage of getting alone with each pony when they were inerted, Checker has to deal with Twilight and her friends on top of screwing with Trixie, which makes her a lot more... unpredictible, believe it or not, once she starts getting rash.
Okay, Checker has officially crossed the event horizon as far as showing any redeeming qualities. I now hope she runs afoul of any number of dangerous beasts from the Everfree. I know I'm supposed to "love and tolerate" as a Brony, but still. I wonder which one would make for the most poetic and/or horrible fate...
I mean, there's being a bully & then there's dedicating your life to the misery of one person who hasn't done anything to you until they're reduced to a greasy smear across the continent. Did their father even know Trixie was there that night Checker drove her away from their home? I bet he's worried sick about her.
In any case, I can plainly forsee that Checker's wickedness will all catch up to her very soon. As long as she has the unwavering support of her friends, Checker will never break Trixie down to nothing again.
As I finish reading this far into the story, I think you're making way too many references to past episodes at this point. It was amusing at first, but now it's really corny. 
Also, by saying that letter, Trixie may have spoken in first-person for the first time!
Hahaha, I'm sorry. I cannot take Checker seriously. She's like an over-the-top villain from a Disney rip-off. I'm half-convinced that she's a robot.
Now it isn't bad to add a villain so someone can take the antagonist's role after Trixie left it, but I really think Checker has to be toned down a bit. I know this is partly a comedy, but she doesn't seem to fit in this story too well. It's like she's evil for the sake of being evil and that there was no real cause that lead her to be evil. It's just too silly. 
On the other hand, I guess there is still more to Trixie's backstory to explain. Maybe we'll get an insight to Checker too and it'll all make sense.
So many references, you could a drinking game out of it. Take one shot every time the story references an episode. Warning: those with weak stomachs may want to sit out.
An eye for an eye makes the world go blind. Remember that having such thoughts may lead you to having a less-than-pleasant attitude. Just sit back and enjoy the show. Trixie will give her what she deserves.
I find it ironic you'd say that about Checker, because here's the thing; she's based off REAL people. I looked up real world sociopaths and narcissists and based Checker off of them. There are actually real people every bit as evil as Checker is, the only difference is they don't live in a world were magic is an everyday thing.
As for why she's they way she is, Trixie and her had the same childhood, and Trixie could've ended up no different than Checker if she'd made different choices.
As for all the references, I do that simply because I feel like it's natural for them to talk about what happened in the past, especially with Trixie, who wasn't around for the events, present.

In any case, even if I do hope for her to get her just deserts, I know the only person that can truly do that is Trixie. So here's hoping for The Great and Powerful Trixie conquering The Tough and Resourceful Checker!
I am too. Though I will also say, Checker is to Trixie what Diamond Tiara is to the CMC. I'll leave it up to you to interpreted that as you choose.

Exactly. Checker was actually a lot like Diamond as a filly, selfish, egotistical, manipulative, petty, and a bully. The problem is she never grew out of it and only ended up getting worse as she grew up. Diamond can still change, Checker is what she could be like if she doesn't. That's actually part of what I'm trying to do with Checker, but why won't be clear until something I have planned.

I always love a good Trixie makes amends story. This one is definitely a good read. When I first watched mlp (it was after season 2 but before 3 so I just watched em all in a row mostly) I was goin through a tough bout of a manic episode... the episode with Trixie really bummed me out... (iirc) when she fled the town they were all like "eh she'll learn her lesson" and just kind of forgot about her. I mean yea she was bein a jerk and all but it just felt like there was never any closure. (same with Gilda)
TL;DR: Next season I demand 2 episodes devoted to Gilda and Trixie where they all settle their differences and everybodys all happy and stuff. 
I like where this is going as a story. Gave it a thumb up.
It doesn't really matter if someone's a nopony to someone else as long as they find reasons to be genuinely happy even as "noponies". That's what separates a true person from a pretender, what's behind the crust always counts the most. It's about what we seek from what we do, not what we try to do to please others. It's why I'm still writing my own story and making pony sketches, I just enjoy doing it.

As much as she is evil that actually makes me feel that instead of joining to the rage bandwagon I should work even harder to be the exact opposite to what I don't want to be(a hateful person). I mean, it is part of Trixie's salvation that others forgave her flaws and had her back during these happenings. Checkers doesn't even deserve hateful emotions for what she does. I don't think that kind of character deserves anything for being so void of, well, anything positive. Makes me want to quote Christopher Nolan's Batman here:
"I won't kill you. But I don't have to save you."
Out of curiosity, do these songs also have melodies or are they just rhymes made to be as descriptive?
Ironically, as I said above (co-writer here), Checker is based on real world sociopathic criminals. There really are people every bit as bad as she is in real life. Except we don't live in a world of magical ponies.

Go get her Trixie! Kick her flank both mentally and literally! I'm seriously wanting to see Checker finally be given the ultimate flank whooping that she truly deserves and be stripped of everything forever. BTW, I keep seeing him when you referred to a true face.
