Void Chicken

I wrote a horse story once.

This story is a sequel to Stormy Nights 3: Darkened Skies

In the wilderness, a simple farm filly and her friend stumble across an ancient scroll that describes a treasure of great power. What is the Orb, and will Ember Flame find it? And what would it mean for her if she does?

Never thought I'd see the day when Void posted another story.

Despite being an 'adventure' this is actually a rather short story. There's only one more chapter, in fact. It's funny, really. I mean to write something long and it ends up my shortest story to date. Maybe next I can write Ember going to the grocery store and have it somehow end up breaking 200,000 words.

ahem... *fanboy squee*
*reads and squee's some more*

OMG OMG OMG OMG!

Okay, fanboy moment done

Shameless promotion time!

How to write long story: Pull a Charles Dickens' A Tale of Two Cities and have a crap-ton of sub plots that converge together to make some massive, epic plot at the end. It should look like a tournament tree, with a few sub plots at a time merging together, until they all meet up. Depending on how many sub plots you had going on at the time, you should be in for a very long story.

That, or let it come to you naturally xD.

Told you it was just two chapters. Also thanks for reading my silly little OC adventure fic.

Just 2? You evil son of a pony! Nice cliffhanger ending. A fun little tale

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo...

It's over already?!?

So they go to an ancient, trap-filled ruin only to find that all of the traps have been disabled by the relentless march of time...

Wait a minute! :rainbowhuh:
How dare you defy the tradition of a thousand adventure stories! :flutterrage:
Daring Do is probably off crying in a corner somewhere. :fluttershysad:

Awwww, no more? Sigh. Loved it, despite the brevity.
