The Bricklayer

Slow down, you're doing fine, you can't be everything you want to be, before your time... -Vienna, The Stranger: Billy Joel. (Any Pronouns)

From one side of the country to the next, from Manhatten back to Los Angeles. It was supposed to be so simple.

But as ever, fate hates Applejack's guts and now she's stuck with another woman's phone while this Rainbow Dash is stuck with her own. Damn.

Huh. This was an interesting read for sure. I'm not admittedly sure about the whole texting format, though it's not BAD by any means, and I do think you get the girls' voices pretty good in this - I really enjoyed the way that conversations went between AJ and Twilight (their first one in particular was a real highlight :rainbowlaugh:) and with Rarity and RD as well. I do think you really have a gift for Rarity as a character :raritywink:

The ending of this was really nicely done too. I like the way that it ends, basically right at the note where AJ and Dash really get to meet up for the first time and see about trying this all out. I certainly wish them the best.

Yeah, that's why I was so hesitant to release this. At some points, it's either distracting or downright ugly depending on your point of view.

Originally, I did plan on them kissing but the logical part of my brain kicked in and said that was moving too fast even for this story.

Ya gotta hate smart phone problems. I'm stuck in one; the "trusted #" for my Apple account wound up being changed to someone else's phone when my dad's company got him a business phone. I cannot complete phone updates or email myself photos until a means of changing the number comes up.

I hate problems with phones or other devices. I work in phone repair, and recently I was supposed to send an iPhone to Los Angeles and a Samsung to San Diego, but I did the opposite and found out about it after the customers had already received the packages. Of course, I paid for all the shipping costs, and the owners got their phones repaired, but it wasn't a pleasant experience for me. By the way, the iPhone had data stored on it, which salvagedata.com recovered, and it was especially important to deliver it safely.
