Lyra had a decent life. It wasn't perfect but it was hers and it was good. Now all of that is gone and she's in the worst of all possible worlds.

Very nice! And nice came of Steel hooves
Huh.... weren't the shield alicorns green in the original? Seems an odd change.
Hey there, Steelhoves! Out of Canterlot and in Buckstone, I see! Quite the walk for a cameo, but keep up that fighting spirit! It'll take you places!
Edit: I saw your explanation for the white alicorns on a later chapter. That is both incredibly horrifying and kind of hilarious.
You're doing great keeping up the character development and personalities. Vindaloo has been growing on me, I'll admit it. Part of it is that for all her grouch and bad decisions she is still a professional who wants to keep everyone alive. She's learned to be a little patient with Lyra, and that counts for a lot, too.
I also really like the way you describe Bean and Beanpole. You've done a really good job with their evolution, especially Beanpole's, through other character's interactions with them and Lyra learning about him. It makes sense, given everything he's been through; he's just become misguided.
I am learning a lot with Lyra, too! You're doing really well working information into the narrative so even I can understand things as they come along, someone who knows nothing about anything to do with Fallout or the Equestria version.
It was really well done how you have Rarity be the one here who said no. You get a sense of the motives for the others, how they would become involved with the war, and their reasons for doing so, how their ambitions became twisted, so to speak. I'm enjoying this story a lot.
