Hey there! I enjoyed the fic, but I do have one little nit-pick about it.
Velvet and Pip are from the same stable and left it at pretty much the same time. If being underground/lack of sunlight was what was stopping Pip from being in heat, why is Velvet so much more knowledgeable about it? It's as if she's been experiencing heat for years and years. How else would someone develop a taste for "skipping"?
Other than that, fine work. Impressively so given you wrote it in 5 hours.

My complaints about this are ones I've brought up repeatedly about zero-effort, bland and boring smut. We've all read this boring vanilla heteronormative story wherein local mare comes down with sex fiend disease and instantly fucks the nearest person a thousand times, but this has a second layer of erasing even more of the characters involved than usual. Pip is gay, Calamity is a one-mare colt, etc.
Also a systemic issue. Zero-effort, heartless smut absolutely infests this site, is seen as and is a cheap and easy method to get clicks.
I just wish you'd try writing a real story for once in your life.

One thing I'll say about you diving into FoE is that you shouldn't let folks worry you about how it'll be received. Write what makes you happy, and explore those less explored nooks of the FoE fandom. Hell, create some headcanon of your own! It's a hoot and I don't doubt you'd be a skilled hand at it.
I'm looking forward to Chapter 3 of this, because that cliffhanger is begging for one. ;)

That's a tough comment, but there's probably done nuggets of truth in there.
Is it simple, and rather saccharin? Yep, my gene is short and light stuff.
Is it heteronormative? Yep, that's just what floats my boat. I don't deal against people who gay ship Bradburn or Shining Armor, but I could see how straight shipping a gay character can be touchy for some. Sorry about that, like I said, this is meant to be pretty simple wish fulfillment fic type! Cuz that's what I like!
And writing a 'real' story? Honestly, that's something that sits in my stomach pretty often, trying to do something bigger than what I usually do... But I'm a very novice artist, I only started writing 3 years ago, I'm still finding my footing. But I do think about this, how I can grow my craft.

Ok, I like this. This is the kind of thing I could see happening, honestly. Littlepip is close enough with Calamity -and naive enough- to do just this if she were to enter heat. That being said, I do have two points of criticism. First of all, horses do NOT go into rut. That's a deer thing. Secondly, you do not penetrate the cervix. That said, this was good.
