As to how it sounds, in case you've either haven't heard it, or have never seen it typed out.
Say "pssst" as if you're trying to get someone's attention discreetly or while whispering.
Now take off the ending "st".
Now rapidly say "psss" in rapid succession, in like 2 to 4 bursts.
Given that there was a seductive tone used and Rarity is beet red, it could be referencing "pet" in a BDSM sense.
Then again, the innocent explanation, would be that it's a reference to Rarity having a cat with the same coat color as her, Rarity sometimes being hard to control or reign in (like a cat (herding cats)), and the seductive tone was just to mess with Rarity.
