Years ago Nightmare Moon returned to Equestria to bring her eternal night. She appeared in Ponyville without warning and one unicorn stood up to challenge her, but she tried to do it alone and she failed. Celestia was defeated then banished to the moon like Nightmare Moon once was and the lone unicorn went into hiding ashamed of her failure. Now Equestria is ruled by Nightmare Moon, and she has turned the simple kingdom into a thriving empire. This is the story of her daughter Diana, and her journey to discover the truth about her mother's origins and bring together the heroes of Equestria that were needed all those years ago in order to stop her tyrannical rule.

Who made the cover art?
I love the contrast between Nightmare Moon’s callous behaviour in the past and her smooth motherly chat with Diana. Descriptions are splendid. The tricky part is how to weave the emotions that Nightmare Moon and Diana would have during Nightmare Moon’s explanation for her sister’s banishment, which I look forward to in the next chapter. I wish that Nightmare will regale her tales to Diana for nice foreshadowing. Other than a few grammar errors, the chapter is fantastic!

p.s. I'm surprised Nightmare moon decided to make their main home in Canterlot and not in the castle of the two sisters as it was in the original.

I actually never thought about her having a guard now that I think about it, so that's on me. As for the taking over Canterlot thing, I saw it as her way of claiming what belonged to her sister as her own. Kind of an insult to injury sorta thing.
