This is delightful. I'm really loving your StarTrix dynamic in this series, and much chemistry they have together. It's adorable and Starlight's obliviousness is also great.
The heck? How does this only have two comments? This was great! More of your great StarTrix dynamic, starring oblivious Starlight (my fave) and the Great and Powerful Trixie. Guest-starring her smoke bombs and gay dads. Love it.
I can see a lot of the headcanon you have for Trix's childhood shining through here. Poor uneducated Trixie, lol. Starlight being a cardshark instead of Trixie was unexpected, though I guess she needed to get the money to start Our Town from somewhere. (Unless it was an abandoned settlement or something. Or she took the money Firelight and/or her mom left her and used it for her cult instead of going to school. Whoops, my own headcanon is leaking again.) Jack Pot was great, as was Big Bucks. I kinda see Bucks at the more "straight man" (trope-wise, not orientation wise) to Jack, just like Starlight is to Trixie. I got that sense here a bit. Jack breaking into the guest room was hilarious.
Even though I have something similar in mind for a story, it was fun to read these and see the differences in the headcanon and interpretation of Trixie's family. Like I said before, I'd hate to inadvertently copy you.
Oh, and I can't get over how sweet that ending is. Both with Starlight wanting them to live together, and with Sunburst and Starlight getting invited to what I'm pretty sure is their parents' wedding. I'm guessing that's another story you have in the works. If not, it really should be.
Gonna get to Growing Up Glimmer at some point, but I see that I haven't followed you yet for some reason. Let me fix that now.
I've enjoyed the story, as well as the previous ones in this series. There is a lot of good chemistry between Oblivious Starlight and Great and Powerful Trixie. I hope there will more to read from you. ;)
