First off, welcome to unoriginality. Population. Way too many. This isn't even the most depressing thing with Twilight ever either. Though it is new with how season 9's finale played into it.
You also need to change the status. If it is done, mark it as such.
Not bad, though it does need to be run through a quick spellcheck for grammar and spelling errors. There also feels to be little emotion from Spike himself, even if he's separating himself from the day's events. The story says in progress, so I wonder if there may be more? But it may be a misclick.
Glad to see another fic where Twilight isnt immortal. Or at least her immortality source was her friends. I like this and have made similar fics myself.
This has a ring of truth to Celestia's irresponsibility and Luna's go-along attitude to her sister's machinations.

Thanks for reminding me to change the status. Also while it may be unoriginal at this point it honestly was just an idea I've been toying with since the end of season 9 and decided to write it out since I had a few minutes and needed something to do. I know it's not all that good but that's why it's a one shot.

I wrote this up on this website, normally I do use a spell checker but this was a one shot and I don't put a lot of effort in to my one shots as they're ideas I want to do something with but not make a whole story out of. Spikes reaction was indeed somewhat muted but he is also pretty old at this point as while Twilight wasn't immortal she still lived for a few centuries, he was mostly holding in his anger at Celestia as he was grieving and Twilight wouldn't want him to cause trouble.
This was a fun read; a quick run through for some typos and punctuation and it'll be great. A neat twist to the take on Twilight being immortal.
Really wasn't super depressing. Sure it was sad but she didn't live till the end of time or anything. Not only that she wasn't fully alone. Spike was there with her. Glad to see she at least got to rest.
I know she was the captain of the wonderbolts but still, could’ve dash just stayed a little longer?
