Waaaaay better version of that particular creature! Pair that with that Mimic Vat combo I mentioned in author's note, literally anything that has ever been a creature at one point on the field becomes an indestructible version of it, that you can make copies of almost instantly!

Okay, so the combo starts when you imprint with mimic vat. That lets you create the copy that has haste, but the key part is when you populate the copy. When you populate, that copy of the copy doesn't exile at the end step so you can control the token without it disappearing and since Emmara Tandris is out on the field, that token can become immune to ALL damage.
The engine relies heavy on Mimic Vat so you want to keep an eye on what you imprint with it, as it gives you a choice to exile something new Everytime a creature dies. It can be an extraordinary and deadly combo when used right.
For example:
Say an Ajani's Pridemate dies and you imprint. When you pay the three and tap, you can create a copy that only lasts until the end of turn due to how Mimic Vat reads.
Then you notice you have enough Mana open to populate, so you pay enough to make a copy of THAT token. Thanks to the wording of Populate (create a copy of creature token you control), there is no condition to have the second one disappear. The condition only applies to the first.
With that, you can "hijack" any opponent's cards and make them your own without actually taking them!
Makes me wish I still had my cards from high school used to run a red/green artifact deck mostly golems with a couple spiders in the mix and other things to round it out had to heavy hitters like force of nature and Shiva dragon (think that was the name)
