When I saw "THUNDERSTRUCK" I had to start playing AC/DC to finish this story which made it 20% more awesome.

Yeah, had it in my head most of the day for this. Wish I could have made it clearer earlier that it was what was leading to it but can only be so creative when dealing with the extreme heat which inspired the story and the main cooling system in my house fails.

Glad you enjoyed it!

You're very welcome.

I have no idea but I also thought of Gahlok and/or my OC helping with the problem

Well, that was a fun little romp~

MosAnted, see what you made me do?

This has been a really epic short story with a good flow to it! There were a few spots that were more rough than poetic, but other than that, both your grammar and style are fairly solid. Also, I don’t think the Tragedy tag is necessary as there is nothing truly tragedic about this story.
Thank you for this read!

PS: I’m wondering, why didn’t Equestrian unicorns or alicorns do anything about the lack of rain? We have seen them being capable of controlling weather.

I found this one really hard to tag as well as group. The reason tragedy crept into it was probably from what has been happening with the fires across my country in recent weeks and at present.

I was annoyed to drop the lyrical nature but I had to in order to bring out the short discussion and the joke of the AC/DC song. This was only written in a couple of hours but as the hours kept moving, the temperature I was writing under was greatly increasing. I was lucky to even finish it in a day considering how hot it got. Other than a few minor errors I have since cleaned up, I'm happy to show it as is. I don't doubt it could have been better but I'm decently happy with it even if it isn't what it could be with more work.

As for the Unicorn question, I can't give you a good answer other than writing in that heat caused me to focus on certain things only. The following are my thoughts on it from the next day: The line about the 'oh so wonderful weather ponies' sounds a little sarcastic but it actually wasn't intended that way. It was intended to be saying that they were the very best for the job. Another part would be they had a complete breakdown of the weather system as the pegasi hadn't been able to gather the water needed to make more rain, let alone clouds, after a certain period of time with their illness. There would have been nothing for the unicorns to bring in. That and they didn't expect it to be such a devastating feather flu. Again, these could have been conveyed better.

I understand. While necessary for the biome, raging bushfires are not something to be taken lightly.

And given the conditions in which you were writing this, it is more than impressive piece of work. I would have melted if the thermometer as much as neared 45°C. I’m not surprised that some bits may have been overlooked due to that.

Heading for 47 plus today. I am not looking forward to it. Last time this happened even our router said nope and gave up in the heat. Got winds coming so really hope people continue to be smart where I am and don't cause a blaze.
