What's sad about it is that this is how I see maybe 25-30% of feature box, if not significantly more. No, this is even better than that, because I actually spent three hours of my time writing this down and even more thinking about it.
You have read Dusk Shine's dialogue in Shining Armor's voice and Midnight's in Cadence's. If not, you've just imagined what it'd be like.

Fun fact: There's a certain object in this story that I've mentioned relatively early on in I believe all of my recent stories. Though in SatN, I think it's somewhere up until chapter 15 or so. I know it's in SatN, Strength, Shadowed through Dawn, and here. Hint: It always uses the same adjective and it's not an object in the literal sense.
For funsies, I turned Dusk Shine into somewhat of a Gary Stu for the course of this story. Hey, that's how all the feature-earning stories do it!
Actually, I feel like I maybe should have gone all the way with R63 and made a male version of Midnight too. I mean, Dusk Shine is so obviously gay, what would he want of Midnight? Though, what'd be his name? Well, it's kinda the opposite, so... Noon? Wait a second...
I guess I could use the Multiverse theory to fit this into SatN, since Midnight has needs and desires, but, well...
1. Midnight slept through the royal wedding. Thus, how should she know Chrysalis?
2. When she's thinking with her brain and not her other thought building parts, Midnight really isn't into stallions. At least she loves to claim that whenever I ask her. Perhaps she's just into Sparkle, whatever gender she may have. Well, she also keeps telling me to expand her life diaries.
3. SatN is srs, this is not.
By the way, if you noticed, 'Applesack' is not a typo. Think about it. Ouh, I just noticed his name is even more literal than I thought. Bonus credit if you know where it is from. Bonus 'You are a horrible person' points.
